...and couldn't take it back? For example, I am playing Skyrim for the second time on Expert level and I had just read the Elder Scroll on the Throat of the World. Alduin came and we did battle, and I hit him with Dragonrend and got paarthurnax to, and something weird happened to paarthurnax and he got stuck and glitched out on me. After Alduin flew off I wanted to talk to paarthurnax but he was stuck in this weird-ass position and nothing I did got him out of it. I even shot him with a few arrows, not even thinking. Anyway I fast-travelled away and when I came back he collapsed on the ground. Dead... I was like "NOOOO!!", but didn't want to go back to a previous save, because fighting Alduin on expert level is kinda epic. So now the Blades think I killed paarthurnax, just because they ordered me to, and I didn't want their help anyway. I am so bummed he is dead:sadface:

What do I regret bitterly right now? Putting a whole bunch of pelts, iron ore, gems, and alchemy ingredients in the Riften Imperial Camp before going to attack Fort Greenwell.

WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THE IMPERIAL CAMPS DISAPPEARED WHEN YOU TAKE OVER THE HOLD?!?!?!?

Bad to the Dragonbone.

Yet another reason not to do the Civil War questline. But what possessed you to use unsafe storage anyway?

I regret taking my follower along on a fishing job and botching it. Twice. My followers never have the good sense to just run away with me and end up killing the mark. Not only do I lose an NPC but no gold for the job AND a 1000 gold bounty.

I regret that I need to talk to Delphine. I can't kill her but by the gods I'm going to take a character to 100 Pickpocket and steal everything she owns.

I regret killing Heimskr ... wait. No I don't. Watching him get cut down after casting Fury on him was SO worth the 40 gold assault charge. I need to do that more often. I regret not trying out Illusion sooner.

I regret deleting almost all my characters because I was tired of them.

Letting a dragon kill a quest related character that I had to talk to get a daedric quest done. I had to make a whole new character so I could get that quest.

The Cole Train, Baby.
This one has made several mistakes in his time. One of his biggest failures was to not save after 6 hours of playing. This one had to redo his 6 hours all over again, and this one was very upset.

Selling off my "extra" sets of armor not realizing I sold them a few hours prior... Not a good day. Also telling my followers to wait only for them to glitch and be stuck in that position forever (I did this with serana while doing the main dawngaurd quest.)

Mods, that's what possessed me. I have Realistic Needs and Diseases installed. Realistic Diseases make you progressively more tired, and when you are tired and sick your carry weight drops by 30 every progression. I had one illness that I cured when blackmailing the steward, but this mod also gives you a 10% chance of getting a disease if you sleep in a tent outside so I instantly got sick again. It was also my first visit to Riften so I had about twelve bear pelts, eight wolf pelts, and sixteen iron ores as well as stacks of ingredients. The plan was to attack the fort, swing by Riften again for a cure and nap, then pick my stuff up. I'd only left all my crafting materials in that chest for less than 24 in game hours.

Trying to grant the Old Orc a good death, whilst playing as a level 1 character on master difficulty, with no armour and only a steel sword. Got my head kicked in...

That whole conversation with Narfi, the crazy beggar in Ivarstead...I decided to tell him his sister was dead instead of saying "She'll be home soon" when obviously she won't be...but he's already bat s**t crazy, would some false hope really have killed him at this point? That miserable heart-breaking cry he makes when you tell him she's dead is horrible. I regret. I am SO lying to him next time. Or just skipping that little side quest altogether.
