Black star quest can give you huge amounts of hearts. The dremoras will respawn as long as you dont kill malyn varen. So just buy bunch of potions concentrate on dremoras and when you get enough kill varen.
Where or where are the Daedra Hearts?

There is, and if one of the Companion's is close by, they will come and take it back from you and return it to the table. At least that's what happened to me. Nothing was said, he just "took" back the heart!

Nope. No dialogue option for that on the PS3 yet. I'll do the thieves stuff and see how it goes.

True. Completed it long ago. At the time I had no idea what they were for so I was using them in alchemy. My bad. Fortunately I do know a few respawning Necromancer lairs where they have some too. I was just looking for an easy way out (as if something like that exists in Skyrim!).

Because you have to steal it. Sneak to it, or carry it into another room where nobody is, sneak and take. You can steal everything in the Companion hall.

If you completed the College questline before you talked to Enthir, then there will be no option to do business. Try wearing the Arch-Mage robes to fix or do the Thieves guild. If you haven't finished the College quests there should be no problem with Enthir. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Daedra_Heart_(Skyrim) - has info for Enthir.

Alchemy shops. Babbette will get a heart every now and again. I usually do alchemy runs and check every shop once in a awhile for hearts/other rare materials.

Once you get up to killing Dremora, it gets real easy to find Daedra Hearts.
If you want to be cheap, steal one from Jorrvaskr.

first of all, go to the shrine of Mehrunes dagon then kill the two daera's they respawn every few days I believe. Doing this you should be able to complete the quest pieces of the past.
Another way of doing this is simply going to Jarrvaskr. in the living quarters on a plate there should be a Daera heart
the final way of doing this is going to a barter and occasionally they will have one ( however this is very rare ).

I always thought the fastest method would be to get the Wabbajack and run around zapping everyone in the Hold capitals. Enough of them turn into Daedra, you could kill them and get their hearts.
Oh....wait, that's the psychopathic route...

No, that's not it. No thieves guild here and he sells them.
They could start showing up because of player's level.

As I'm at 49 now, it should have shown already. I think I do need to do the thief thing as he is basically a fence (blackmarket). I'll get to it this weekend.

Yes, I know, but I can't spend all my time on the Wiki. I enjoy the interaction with the other forum users. If this is an issue, however, then I will cease being a member. The original issue came up as I suddenly seemed to be without Daedra Hearts and had just gotten the Daedric armor perk. My apologies for offending with novice questions.

Yeah someone else said. I guess I never spoke to him at the right point in the mages quest or was wearing the wrong gear as he as only ever been a thieves guild fence to me. Sometimes this game is needlessly complex.
I'm saying my current character is not in the thieves guild and he has them for sale.
There is no right point in the mages quest. I haven't even started the mages quest. I had to get rid of some junk before heading out to Saarthaal, he had them for sell. No thieves guild, haven't even began the Mage quest (except for showing up, haven't met Tolfdir for his lecture).

I agree, I'm not sure why there has been so much discussion on him, it's been repeated several times just to go talk to him and what to try if his dialogue doesn't show up.
Also, if you have completed the Mage guild quest line an become archmage then there's a chance he won't have his merchant dialogue anymore. If he doesn't then you have to do the thieves guild chain to get it back.
But outside of that there shouldn't be any problems talkin to the guy. lol

I think you hit the nail on the head. I never even knew about him before I did the mage college quests so now that I'm arch mage the option isn't there. I'm sure it will show again once I do the thieves guild though.
I am finding plenty now from the other suggestions without him now though.
