So I play on PS3, and I wasn't around for the iron dagger leveling. First thing I want to say is I Fing hate leveling smithing. I want to be adventuring and what not, but to get the best gears you have to sit in the Fing forge forever.

So that being said I have been doing it another way. It might be slower, but you can go do what you want until you level up. And I know this has probably already been done.

You will want to start this trick at the lowest level possible so your not like level 50 when you can actually get good gears. First thing you want to get is the ice form shout. Then go train smithing at riften or markath. After you train do the ice form pickpocket trick to get your money back. Then go adventure or go level up enchanting until you level up. Then just repeat until smithing is where you want it.

If you guys know a better way please let me know because I hate leveling smithing. This is an exploit. Thanks

Easiest way I've managed to find since they killed the iron dagger/leather bracers is to collect a bunch of dwemer junk & grind it out creating dwarven armor. You can only do this once you hit 30 so before that, just craft a bunch of jewelry or something. Bigger value=bigger xp gain.

O & just to note about dwemer junk, anything that starts with "Dwemer" cannot be smelted down.

Well I just hit 90 smithing using the method I explained and it was super easy. You just have to have about 30k cash to do it. But with enchanting thats easy money.

Good. Glad you're having fun. No method is better/worse than any other. It all goes to personal preference. Only issue I have with yours is that you can only do it once per level, correct? As you said, this is mostly for lower level toons & you're absolutely correct. When you hit the higher levels, your method won't be as helpful so I added my 2¢ for any who are higher level & would like an expedient way to level smithing.
