Glitch Dawnstar Invisible Chest

Seeing that there is no thread on this yet (at least from my searches), I'd like to inform you fellas about this little trick in Dawnstar.

Around the Dawnstar Mine, you will see a bundle of trees and 2 rocks. In between these two rocks is a small option to open a chest. It's slightly smaller than normal selections so you'll have to scour around for a bit to find it in that area. Once you open it, a plethora of items is presented to you, quite organized too, I might add. It's organized by armor and weapons first, than miscellaneous, than back to weapons and armor. In addition, there will always be a large amount of money stashed away in this chest. However, it does not reload right away.

Right outside of town, there will be a Khajiit merchant tent. Go in front of the tent and wait for 2 days or 48 hours, however you wish to put it. This is probably the best way to reload the chest, as it is the only KNOWN way at this point. When opened again, it will present the same number of items but including different items. Say you had a hide shield the first open, and now you have an Eleven Shield of Frost Resist. Glorious!

This is good for collecting and selling to the nearby merchant for large amounts of gold. That or you could keep some of the loot and use it on your adventures in Skyrim and when it is obsolete, you can simply sell it and check back with the chest for a possibly upgraded shield!

That invisible chest seems to be the Khajiit's possible stock, so you can refresh the stock of the chest just like you would with any merchant.

There is a faster way to refresh the chest than waiting 48 hours. After getting what you want out of the chest, SAVE your game, then go kill the Khajiit merchant. Reload your saved game, and the stock will be refreshed. This tip works on just about any merchant in the game, too.

Side note: Unfortunately, I was goofing around and killed a bunch of people in Dawnstar, including the Khajiit merchant. I had no intention of saving, but several real-life days later and after countless hours of playing, I returned to Dawnstar only to find that I had apparently forgotten to undo the damage. Had to pay a 7000+ gold bounty, and the Khajiit merchant is dead, too. Although, even with the merchant killed long ago, the invisible chest is still available and full of items, although I haven't tried returning to see if the stock refreshes.

You know you dont have to kill them. You just have to wait 48 hours and just go talk to them. And when you go back to the chest it will be restocked.
