I just started a new character after installing Dragonborn. Everything working fine until the Dragon fight at the Western Watchtower. Murmulnir is dead, but he doesn't expel his soul. Just lays there. All the NPC's act like they're still hiding/fighting.

I went back to previous saves, before the fight, but had the same result. Turning off Dragonborn in the Data Files Manager seemed to solve the issue, so it's definitely related to the DLC. I updated yesterday in preparation for today's install, and it played fine afterwards. Actually, I've had almost no problems with this game other than a couple of known issues.

I'm going to leave it turned off for now, and perhaps there will be an unofficial patch for it available soon, like the other DLC's. In the meantime, if anyone has or hears of a similar issue, please get as many details as possible. If necessary, as a last resort, I'll try to patch/mod it myself. Thanks.

Hey guy,

I had the same problem which I fixed by moving all mods and dlc to a separate folder leaving only vanilla in the game folder. I picked up on my save before defeating the dragon and it all proceeded as normal. Once the quest is complete you can move all the files back. I first tried deactivating the dlc content, but that didn't go as planned since the game kept crashing.

This worked for me anyways, hope it helps.

The OP's solution seems much simpler. I don't think he was asking for help so much as publishing a bug and a solution.

Indeed Op has a better solution and it is simpler, unfortunately the game would keep crashing when I disable it in the data files. This is just an optional solution.

Solved. It was a conflict with the Tytanis mod. It took me a while to narrow it down. Hopefully he'll update it to be compatible with DB. It really adds a lot of weapons/crafting items to the game.

Funny, both me and a friend had this same bug. I've recently done a full reinstall, but haven't had time to go hunting dragons to see if it solved the issue. The reinstall did solve the issue with my friend - he too had to disable Dragonborn, and this was after we'd ruled out any mod conflicts.

I think it's a known bug with Dragonborn and Bethesda's just neglected to release a fix for it. I hope an unofficial patch'll do something about it. Very annoying.
