Assassin has the most damage

Probably an assassin. Especially if it's a dual-dagger assassin. Just get the perk which gives you 15x damage when sneaking using daggers. Kill anything instantly.

Assassin. Probably daggers w/15x bonus. I, however, only really use my bow. The 20% bonus to DAM and the 3X bonus are almost always able to get me an instant kill. Plus, I am always out of harms way, especially when I am using cover

No doubt assassin is the best for pure damage dealing, however if you use them as a prototypical assassin, you better be awesome at sneaking because as soon as you find yourself in an extended melee fight, you are done for.

Assassin.

Seriously.
With the 15X damage, plus the right gear for double sneak/backstab damage...

honestly, the only challenge left to the game is making sure they don't see you first.

Dragons, Dwemer Constructs, Giants, Bears... they all die with one hit.

i 1 shot everything in game with 2hander no power attack no sneak attack end cept alduin and such as him those take a whole 2-3 power shots. really tho because of game mechanics the best is no doubt dual weild sword warrior. without even doing glitch type crafting you will make ur self so fluffing fast and should kill everything with 1 shot without having to sneak. and if you go light armor you will regen stamina hella fast and still get past the armor cap sooooooooo ez without even using all armor related perks

Now I don't understand what you want to say... Is the two-hand the strongest or dual-wielding (part of the one-hand tree)?

Haven't tried all specific builds (no dagger assassin yet) so can't give a definitive answer, but so far my most damaging build has been dual wield (swords) orc using the attack speed shout.

I play 2hander. but dual wield sword light armor orc warrior is the absolute king of skyrim (from power gamer perspective due to more inherent passive boosts to damage and being only build which can get and make much use of haste).
dual weild with sword spec. Dual weild is the right side of 1handed. Pretty much in skyrim anything that is a passive bonus or proc is best so dual weild wins because it has the most options for passive bonus. dual weild 1 hand sword gets increase damage 100%, decapitate (insta kill), crit 20%, decrease stamina cost 25%... So thats standard u get those with 2hand 1 hand sheild ect. But with dual weild oh wait u get Another 50% increase to damage, and 35% perma haste. gg there isnt even a haste spell in game (besides haste shout but i dont fluff with those much cuz of cooldown)
so all that stuff + beserk = u win everything
race doesnt matter too much. Nord you will have easier time early game before you are enchanted against casters since everything does cold damage.

Armor doesnt really matter but light armor has better lower passive boost in regen 50% faster stamina vs increase in hand to hand damage and decrease fall damage. You will blow past the soft cap (which is around 550-600 if i remember) which is about 80% dmg reduction with either armors and without using all armor boost perks. So armor is preference on how u wanna look the 50% stamina def wins from power gamer stand point since the final teir (10% evade or 10% return damage) are kinda meh by the time u have access to them u wont take any damage really so not getting hit doesnt matter and nothing melee should really hit u cuz of how fast u tear down.
Armor just comes down to which side of smithing do u want to take Left side is faster and like I said better perks with light armor right side u get better wep creating abilities at the end.

(you can go maces for armor ignore since your gonna have alot of speed boost with dual weild to offset the slow swing) axes are out cuz bleed effect is useless after early mid game since you will kill too fast even on hardest settings.

Assassin would be fun if skyrim displayed hit numbers on screen but since it dont that 1 first kill in a battle being some insano damage is kinda meh since you will 1 hit without the 15X daggers or sneaking anyway. and to me if somone says whats best damage I look at what can train wreck through everything not what can burst a 1 hit.

here is a sample build for dual weild. You absolutly could forgo smithing and enchanting and do nothing with those perks and the game will be way more challenging and fun imo but if u want to play skyrim like diablo 2 go smithing>enchanting>dual weild perks>light armor perks>sword perks

Totally sweet
It's a toss up to doing 3500 damage with daggers from sneak or 3500 damage with swords by running up to enemies and holding both triggers.

Bro I play assassin and I use dual wield swords and dual daggers. Back stab with dagger is definitly the strongest attack! But I use a lot dual swords becouse I don't like to play as coward. Considering that dual wielding has 0 block my kind of play style is extremly brave or extrimly stupid. ;)

Improved bow to legendary or above while in sneak has the most damage, becouse posion or enchantments do not triple. And even if you would be able to make the same damage with poision, you still have less stuff to wear with you (a lot of posion bottles 0,5 lb)

They say the best defense is a good offense! I dual wield on an assassin type character, I pick fights with multiples sometimes, I find it fun, and isn't that the point.

i did the million damage bow glitch so my archer does the most damage
I still have saves with all skills on 100 being 81 lvl... but I returned back to orginal save without using glich...

Well it isn't really a fair question. Assassin will obviously deal the most damage but it also takes the most time and patience being sneaky and if you are ambushed by multiples you instantly lose that immense damage. Two Handed and Dual wield can be categorized together, either you beast out on pure damage with the two handed or speed with the dual wield to get damage off quickly. But people are forgetting exploiting weaknesses. For example only dual weild or one handed can really do this as it requires elements. With dual you can enchant one fire one frost and damage enemy weaknesses. But with one handed you get a free hand for a massive selection of spells that can exploit all weaknesses buff and protect you or simply conjur others to fight for you...
