Many of you may have voted for your opinion as to where TES6 should take place. But have you thought about what the story should be for the provance of your choice? Here are my ideas for Elsweyr.

The Elder Scrolls VI: Elsweyr- The story is simmilar to Fallout New Vegas. The Aldmeri Dominion is fighting off the Cyrodillic Empire who wants to reclaim Elsweyr. Meanwhile, the Sultan of Elsweyr is trying to make the provance independent from both factions. The player has 4 options as to the fate of Elsweyr...
1. Help the Dominion mantain control of Elsweyr
2. Help the Empire reclaim Elsweyr
3. Help the Sultan make Elsweyr independent
4. Take over Elsweyr for yourself
The style of the game is your typical "Arabian Knights" setting, with things like cammels, sultans, clay buildings, and the like.

I'm willing to bet it's "Help the Empire reclaim Elsweyr", and if that happens I'm going to be one bad ass Khajiit!

The other provance I wanted to play in was Black Marsh. However, i couldn't think of as good a story for Black Marsh giving it's setting (North or Central America) and it's current political situation (Black Marsh is currently independent, and it recently annexed Marrowind).

I want the Aldmeri Dominion out of Elsweyr, so I vote it taking place in Elsweyr like Reiji stated. I could be wrong, but after reading the book The Great War it seems the Khajiit credited the return of the moons to the Thalmor (the two moons, special to khajiit culture mysteriously disappeared and eventually returned, the Aldmeri Dominion/Thalmor taking credit for it...but I personally think it was just a lie to gain power). Many khajiit then viewed them as saviors and let them take over the two sects of Elsweyr. I'm pretty sure that sums up what I've read so far.

The reason i was comparing my story to Fallout New Vegas is because i thought it would be a good idea to have the same "line-in-the-sand" moments. For example, you need to betray the Sultan of Elsweyr for all factions exept his own. The Thamor want him dead so they can replace him with someone more loyal to the Thalmor. The Imperials want him imprisoned so he can be replaced by an Imperial sympathizer. The player may want to assasinate the Sultan so he/she could become the Sultan themself.

BORN TO BE KING

Part 1

From beneath the filth-ridden brownish sewage now flooding the streets of Whiterun, the demon lord Beelzebub is unleashed upon the mortal plane in a secret ritual performed by the High Greybeards (who have been possessed by Akatosh and his TALISMAN OF POSSESSION). You with your disrespect of the Dragon society, enemies within the guilds, and the stolen Demon artifacts collected, have driven the God of Dragons, Akatosh to form an alliance with the Dark Brotherhood former Guildmaster Felonius, and the Demonlord Beelzebub.

Part 2

Distance aside, Beelzebub and his massive army all carried by red dragons, flew from the far west onto Riften, and burned the entire city to the ground. Between the blood, debris, black petrid smoke blanketing the sky, and the dead citizens being ripped apart and devoured by the neighboring giant crabs, the true horror lies in the enemy camps within the city, who are celebrating their victories by raping and murdering the innocent. The THIEVES GUILD has remained untouched, but most of the members were killed in the city during the attack above ground.

Part 3

The new sybil named Fiona, who is still a child, was being protected by the Temple in the city of Markoth. Last night she was kidnapped by Felonius and will be sacrificed soon. Using his newfound alliances to gain control of the Brotherhood once more, he has also orchestrated the murders of all the Jarls in Skyrim in one swift sweep, and uses his MASK OF DECEPTION to dopplegang the THIEVES GUILD newly appointed Guildmaster.

Part 4

One legendary artifact, THE FINGERS OF ALCAZAR, has the power to banish Beelzebub and close the gate to Hades. Each FINGER is made from a different gem stone and has its own unique magical properties. Once re-assembled into Alcazar's hand, his ghost will appear before you and grant you all his special powers, letting him finally rest in peace. The locations of the seperate digits has been unknown, but before being poisoned to death, Felonius' youngest son Demetrius, who's loyalty clung to the honorable order of the Guilds, showed you evidence of the evil plot and the map to where the artifacts of Alcazar are hidden.

Part 5

Black Marsh houses two other powerful artifacts that Felonius is searching for, THE PRISON OF YELORA(any creature imprisoned will be shrunk into a miniature), and the second being THE BOX OF TRANSFORMATION(changes gender permently). Felonius has built his home in the center of the marsh, surrounded by black dragons and demons.

Part 6

Beezlebub has raised all the dead in or around Windhelm. They quickly killed most of the citizens and are now guarding it. The recently discovered underground tunnels beneath the city, are now being used as a refuge for the survivers.

The Fingers of Alcazar

Part 1

From beneath the filth-ridden brownish sewage now flooding the streets of Windhelm, the demon lord Belzebar is unleashed upon the mortal plane in a secret ritual performed by the High Greybeards. You with your disrespect of the dragon society, have driven the God of Dragons, Tiamat to form an alliance with the Dark Brotherhood former Guildmasters, Belzebar, and the young sybil named Selena, who's powers can only be controlled by the legendary artifact, THE FINGERS OF ALCAZAR. This evil group has taken control of the Greybeards, murdered all the Jarl's of Skyrim, and are in the process of opening a gate to Hell.

This sound more like an DLC.
And the God of Dragons is Akatosh. I think you need to learn some more about Elder Scroll lore before you come up with names :) But i still like the idea of and DLC with that inspiration.

Okay, so here's everything that has happened between Oblivion and now, or what is commonly referred to as the "Fourth Era", from: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:History

_________________________________________________________________________________________
First Century

4E 0 — End of the Oblivion Crisis.
4E 1 — The Empire begins to collapse.
  • Black Marsh secedes from the Empire a few years after the proclamation of the new era; it is soon followed by Elsweyr.
4E 10 — Potentate Ocato is assassinated by Thalmor agents, initiating the Stormcrown Interregnum.
  • For the next seven years, the Elder Council is fractured by petty infighting over the Ruby Throne, further weakening Imperial power in the provinces.
4E 17 — Titus Mede, a Colovian warlord, captures the Imperial City and is crowned the new emperor of the Empire of Tamriel.
4E 18 — Prince Attrebus Mede is born.
4E 22 — The Thalmor seize control of Summerset Isle and rename it Alinor.
4E 23 — Annaïg Hoïnart is born.
4E 29 — The Aldmeri Dominion is recreated after Alinor and Valenwood proclaim a union, and all contact is severed with the Empire.
  • The union came about after a Thalmor-backed coup overthrew Valenwood's government. The Empire and its Bosmer allies are caught off-guard and defeated by Altmer forces that invaded Valenwood following the coup.
4E 40s — Umbriel, a floating city, appears on the coast of Black Marsh, heading toward Morrowind.
4E 40s — Red Mountain erupts; Vvardenfell is destroyed.
  • In Vivec's absence, the Ministry of Truth becomes unstable. Vuhon creates an Ingenium that uses at first dozens of dying souls, then a small number of living ones to stabilize the rock. The soul of Sul's wife Ilzheven was among them. In a fight to free her, the Ingenium is destroyed and the rock crashes into the city of Vivec with all the energy it originally had. The impact causes Red Mountain to erupt and destroys the entire island of Vvardenfell, as well as causing massive destruction to the rest of the province.
  • The Argonians invade southern Morrowind after the eruption of Red Mountain.
4E 98 — The two moons of Nirn, Masser and Secunda, vanish for two years in what becomes known as the Void Nights.
4E 98 — The Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary in Cheydinhal is raided by Imperial Forces. The previous Listener is supposedly killed in the attack.
[edit] Second Century

4E 100 — The Void Nights end, with the Thalmor taking credit for the return of Nirn's moons.
  • The Khajiit credit the Thalmor as their saviors and Imperial influence in Elsweyr begins to wane dramatically.
4E 115 — The Elsweyr Confederacy becomes the two kingdoms of Anequina and Pelletine, which the Aldmeri Dominion accepts as client states.
4E 122 — Most of Winterhold collapses into the sea. The citizens have blamed the College of Winterhold but the College denies it.
4E 168 — Emperor Titus Mede II ascends to the throne.
  • The Empire is now a shadow of its former glory. Valenwood and Elsweyr had been ceded to the Thalmor, Black Marsh had been lost to Imperial rule since the Oblivion Crisis, Morrowind had yet to fully recover from the eruption of Red Mountain, and Hammerfell was plagued by infighting between the Crown and Forbear factions. Only High Rock, Cyrodiil, and Skyrim remained prosperous and peaceful.
4E 171 — The Great War begins with armies from the Aldmeri Dominion invading the Imperial provinces of Hammerfell and Cyrodiil.
  • After Titus II rejects an ultimatum to make massive concessions to the Thalmor, Aldmeri armies invade. An army led by Thalmor general Lord Naarifin emerges from hidden camps in northern Elsweyr and assaults southern Cyrodiil, flanking Imperial defenses along the Valenwood border. Leyawiin falls to the invaders, and Bravil is surrounded and besieged. Simultaneously, an army under Lady Arannelya crosses western Cyrodiil, bypassing Anvil and Kvatch and entering Hammerfell. This army is joined by smaller forces landing on Hammerfell's coast. Imperial troops are forced into retreat across the Alik'r Desert.
4E 174 — The Imperial City is sacked by Aldmeri forces.
  • Titus II flees north from the city, smashing through the surrounding Aldmeri forces with his main army and linking up with reinforcements heading south from Skyrim under General Jonna. The Imperial City falls to the invaders. The Imperial Palace is burned, White-Gold Tower is looted, and the Aldmeri commit many atrocities against the defenseless populace.
4E 175 — The Battle of the Red Ring results in the complete destruction of the Aldmeri army in Cyrodiil, a victory for the Empire precipitating the end of the Great War.
  • The Imperial City is retaken and Titus II's decision to withdraw from it the previous year is vindicated. Despite this resounding victory, however, the Empire is exhausted and unable to continue the war. Realizing this, Titus II seeks to negotiate with the Aldmeri Dominion to end the war.
4E 175 — The Great War ends with the White-Gold Concordat.
  • The Concordat is a peace treaty between the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion. The terms of treaty gave the Thalmor free rein to stamp out the worship of Talos throughout the Empire, and ceded a large section of southern Hammerfell. Critics note that these terms are almost identical to the ultimatum that Titus II rejected at the start of the war.
4E 175 — Hammerfell leaves the Empire after rejecting the White-Gold Concordat.
  • Titus II renounces Hammerfell as a province of the Empire to preserve the treaty after the Redguards oppose ceding their lands. The Redguards see this as a betrayal, and a lasting bitterness between Hammerfell and the Empire is sown to the delight of the Thalmor. Hammerfell continues to war with the Aldmeri Dominion for the next five years.
4E 180 — The Second Treaty of Stros M'Kai is signed.
  • Having been fought to a standstill by the Redguards, the Aldmeri Dominion completely withdraws from Hammerfell.
[edit] Third Century

4E 201 — Torygg, the High King of Skyrim, is killed by Ulfric Stormcloak at Solitude.
4E 201 — The Nords of Skyrim engage in a civil war.
4E 201 — Alduin the World-Eater makes the first strike on the small town Helgen, symbolizing the return of the dragons and the end of the world.

Note that the Khajit have recognized the Thalmor (Aldmeri Dominion) as their saviors, and have become client states of the Thalmor. They don't appear to want to be "saved" by the Empire. Black Marsh seceded of it's own accord, as an independent nation.

Given the High Elf (Aldmeri) invasion and tyranny in the Fourth Era, we might be seeing a Elder Scrolls VI: Summerset Isle. Only this time, the Thalmor are in power and all the nations of Tamriel are in rebellion.

It seems that the only couple of countries that haven't been massively effected by the Thalmor are the Bretons of High Rock, and the Orcs of Orsinium.

That would mean the Loyalist faction would be very strong in my story. However, I can still see a few Khajiits being Imperial sympathizers, especially if the Thalmor started to treat the Khajiits badly.

My original choice was to have a waaaayback prequel.
... and Blackreach cemented that idea in my head, stepping into Blackreach was awesome, and I instantly saw an entire game based around an "underdark" (with apologies to TSR) type world. Lots of political intrigue.

Two new player races.... Dwemer and Snow Elves.
Sooooo much opportunity for new monsters and races.
Blackreach was incredible, I loved the setting. I think that Bethesda could explore the whole "deep" thing, and make a hell of a story.
