How long does it take to restore the thieves guild?

Hi I recently started my 6th character and just completed the Thieves Guild quest line! I haven't bothered to restore the guild in my last 4 characters so have forgotten how long it takes! Could anybody who has restored it recently give me and estimate for how long it takes?

You have to do 4-5 minor jobs in the four cities before you can get the big job in them. I find it easier to get a job in the same city from both Vex and Devlin. Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. It's OK to decline a job that's in a town you don't want to go to and just keep asking them until you get a job in the town you want. They complain a bit but it doesn't hurt your game.

I would say 3 hours max doing the bare minimum (not doing any of the other side jobs)

The last time I did all of the little in-town jobs for Delvin and Vex, it definitely took me several hours, and I don't waste time doing them. At one point I was sure the game was glitched and I was never going to get the "special" jobs because it felt like I'd done about 70 of them, then boom, all the special jobs, one right after the other. Hang in there
