PC Reunification of Skyrim

Hi everyone, I am trying to do the Imperial side of the Civil War quests. I have run into a problem regaining the Rift. I have completed regaining Fort Dunstad. The journal entry is complete and I've talked to General Tullius who promoted me to Praefect and has instructed me 'our next target is the Rift, meet Legate Rikke at the Rift Imperial Camp.' However there is no quest marker and when I get there Rikke's dialogue is the same as before I conquered Fort Dunstad (dialogue options of 'What is the next mission' and 'where is the fort'). I understand these quests are extremely buggy. I have tried the following to fix the problem:

-Waiting (I waited in game 48 hours)
-Leaving the camp and coming back
-Using the console to summon a dragon
-Attacking Rikke
-Attacking Rikke until her HP was 0
-Using the cooking spit
-Talking to Tullius about 'how the war effort is going' until the dialogue topic went gray
-Re-starting the 'Regaining Fort Dunstad' quest from an old save file
-Using the console to force start the 'Compelling Tribute' quest (then I get no 'reporting for duty' topic once that quest is over and there is no way to console start the 'regaining Fort Greenwall' quest (and none of the above will get the topic to come up))

If anyone has any other suggestions please help. I don't want to use the console to just complete the civil war quests in favor of the Imperials. I actually want to do the quests. But I have wasted enough time searching wiki for suggestions and restarting quests to get no where. I understand there might be a way to regain the Rift through the main quest but this is the first time doing the civil war quests. Will I be able to pick up the quests after the peace negotiation or will I be stuck after that? Am I missing any console commands that may get the 'reporting for duty' topic to appear? Thanks everyone.

Never mind I think I solved this myself. Instead of attacking Fort Dunstad to regain the Pale I had to do secret option B, attacking the Jarl of Dawnstar. That completed the quest. After talking to Tullius, Rikke is letting me report for duty in the Rift camp. Yay!

I'm glad you were able to find a way around this. It's been a known issue and using console commands doesn't work. I was doing this quest last week and ended up deleting the character because I was so pissed. I'll give it a try some time in the future, but not right now. I'm still aggravated and who knows what I might do if it doesn't work.
