Nice places to Hunt?

Hello y'all! I come here with a question. What is the best place to hunt for Hide, so i can make some Leather? I've been on Whiterun, but are there any better places?

West of solitude, and around falkreath was always bountiful for me.

West of Whiterun too...large open areas

The rift is amazing, as well as those nice open plains outside of Whiterun.

Head W of Whiterun, there's lots of wide open planes where you can see the game for miles all around. Once you start getting to the Reach, it gets rockier, but there's even Redoubts (Like Serpent's Bluff) which have Forges, and other stations to use it. As usual, keep an eye out for sabercats, but the open, reasonably flat area make it a lot easier to spot them first. Unlike the Rift, there's less trees, no Bears, Frostbite Spiders, Trolls, and fewer Bandits as well. The wildlife spawns also seem to have a high turnover rate, so if you rest daily (In bandit camps, and Redoubts) they should be back by the time you sweep the entire hold. Falkreath Hold has a lot of game, and it's a lot safer, but you don't have as long a Line of Site.

Will admit, wish vendors didn't sell as much crafting supplies as they do. Otherwise, after level 2 or 3, I never see a reason to mine or skin animals.

I'm just Hunting because I'm bored of going to x town, craft 20 Iron Daggers, go to y town and on. I think this is a more fun way to level your Smith capabilities.

When I need some pelt fast for smithing, or just for some lucrative hunting, I hike from Whiterun across the tundra toward Bloated Man's Grotto, kill everything that yields pelts on the way, kill everything in the grotto, then head toward Rorikstead (note there's a little pool just off-road, past a bend in the road, as you travel west from the grotto that usually has three deer/elk grazing around it, so sneak up on them or they'll spot you clanking your badass armored way down the road and dash up into the rocks).

I kill whatever I come across en route to Rorikstead too. If I haven't been out hunting in that area or have cleared the grotto recently, I can easily come home with a couple bear pelt, a couple or more sabercat pelts, a half dozen wolf pelts, a half dozen fox pelts and 12 or so deer/elk pelts. Then I use those pelt to make a bunch of leather armor.

Party time Skyrim-style!

The Rift around Iversted has a lot of bears too. Pinepeak Cavern, which has one bear guarding outside and one inside, is on the other side of the bridge and to the right as you head up to High Hrothgar. If you head out of Ivarstead the other way heading southward, off to the right side of the road and into the trees there's Honeystrand Cave that has a bear guarding outside, plus a beehive and bees, and two bears inside. Both caves have the added bonus of having some loot inside. There will be more bears around the Rift past Honeystrand so just wander around and follow the sound of bears grunting and growling.

My GOSH I love this game.

I don't know many other games, if any, you can say, well, I am not in the mood for doing one of the hundreds of quests right now, I will simply go out to do some hunting. But where will I hunt since there are so many choices?

Skyrim is the greatest of all time.

Theres this hunters shack in the reach. I like to use that as a base because it has a bed and a tanning rack. Its above a waterfall. you have to kill the hunter who currently lives there though. Then you can go down by the waterfall-made river and find slaughterfish and possibly a bear. then if you are facing away from the shack with it at your back go right for deer, elk, and sabercats, and i havent been there for a while so maybe forsworn.
