Yesterday a dragon attacked as I was approaching Riften from the south. So I engaged it and fought it, and at one point it landed. It was only after I had pressed the button to hit it with a fus-ro-dah that I noticed it had landed by a farm and there were people all around it. So my shout pissed everyone off and a guard came running at me. I sheathed my weapon so we could settle it diplomatically, and I get the "you have committed crimes against Skyrim and her people" and so on. I tell the guard I'm with the Thieves' Guild and offer 20 gold to settle my bounty. While we're having this conversation, I can see behind her this dragon fighting these farmers and other guards, and the whole thing is just comical. As she's saying "I can make your problems with the guards go away, but it will cost you", the dragon is right behind her blasting everyone with frost, and she doesn't bat an eye, so important was my little crime to her. I'm clicking through the buttons as fast as I can to get this over with so I can kill this dragon. Finally it got all settled and everyone became non-hostile to me, and I got to kill the dragon. Amazingly, no one else had gotten killed during this humorous interval.

Another funny moment happened today when I murdered someone in Riften. It was Drifa, the wife of Bersi, the owner of the Pawned Prawn. I needed to rob that store, and Drifa doesn't go to sleep at night so every time I break in, she's there at the counter telling me I need to leave. So I decide to get her out of the way, partly for practical reasons and partly because she's so annoying and she inconvenienced me and my character is kind of a jerk that way (being a member of the Dark Brotherhood and all). After inconclusively following her around all day as she wandered around the marketplace, and not getting any opportunity to kill her without witnesses, I decided to ambush her the next morning as she walked out of the Pawned Prawn. It's in an alley, rarely any witnesses nearby. She comes out at 9:00 and I quickly creep up behind her with a dagger and end her. Immediately afterward, someone, I think it was the blacksmith Balimund, yelled out in this booming voice: "BY THE GODS, DID THAT REALLY JUST HAPPEN?". Something about the way he said it and how unexpected it was just made me laugh uncontrollably for 10 minutes.

Oy, gotta love running down the road, to take a turn and literally bump into a giant.... who proceeds to do nothing. I hack his legs, he does nothing. HEs just standing there swinging his arms. I couldn't even kill him- it was like it didn't exist. Hm.

Also: spoilers !!!

I played through six opening scenes and just now found out I can follow the stormcloaks right from the get-go. Serious wtf on my part.

Well I once exited Jorvasker probably on some stupid companion quest . Just as I reached the top of the stairs facing the big dying tree in the town square , Some floating person in sitting posture zipped past my line of sight at one heck of a speed . Too fast to tell if he or she was even sitting on a chair .

Arrghh these levitating mages from Winterhold . I really should talk to Jarl Balgruf about all these riffraff , he allows into the city .... "Slow down buddy , you gonna slam into a wall . "

An army of mammoth were falling on me as they fell from the skies. I never been so scared in my life but it was interesting but it was really random.

One of the game's little inside jokes is that when you are forced to drop perfectly good equipment because you've reached your maximum load, some random NPC will walk up to you and say "can I have that?" Well my PC was attacking a Foresworn camp in the hills and we had pretty much killed everyone off when I had to start dumping excess gear. At that point, one remaining Foresworn came over to ask if he could have the equipment we dropped. After saying yes, he could have it all, he then resumed attacking us.

I've had several WTF/LOLs in the last few days.

The other day I started a new playthrough. When I got to Riverwood for the first time, I spent the night in the inn, and the next morning went out to seek Faendal, whom I wanted to make my follower. I found him laying dead in the street in front of the blacksmith's place for no apparent reason.

I was passing by the farm just south of Riften when a frostbite spider attacked the farm. The Riften guards yelled at it "Stop! In the name of the jarl!"

This one was a massive WTF. I was attacking the bandits in Fort Greenwall. There's a room with a dead alchemist in a cage. The alchemist's corpse was flopping around wildly at rapid speed in that cage. Creepiest thing I've ever seen. I once found a goat doing that on the 7,000 steps, but hadn't seen anything like that again until the alchemist.

I found Aerin dead in the Riften marketplace. Just like Faendal, no apparent reason. I thought it was possible that he'd died when a fight involving a thief broke out in the night (as often happens in Riften), but there was no dead thief to be found.

I was in Karthwasten dealing with the Silverblood issue. When I came out of the mine, I found a dead hagraven laying in front of the entrance. No idea how that happened lol. It wasn't there when I went in, that's for sure.

Yesterday I was going along the road between Riften and Ivarstead when I was attacked by a dragon. The dragon hit the ground and died before I could even hit it with a single arrow. Free soul at least!

Speaking of dragon attacks, some time ago I was attacked by one just outside of Windhelm, by the stables. Me and several guards and other bystanders fought it and it died flopped over the cart driven by the guy who takes you to different cities. He was just sitting there on the cart, never got down to fight, didn't seem to care about the burning dragon corpse on top of his cart or the skeleton left behind; he just sat there looking straight ahead. It was funny because I was picturing/hearing him in my head as Eustace from Courage the Cowardly Dog. "Nope, not gettin' outta this chair!"

Just now, I was again going along the river between Riften and Ivarstead (I've been going back and forth to and from the Rift imperial camp), and as I arrived at Heartwood Mill, a courier ran up to me. I thought he was going to give me a "letter from a friend", since I had just been using Shouts to blow fish out of the river, but instead he gave me not one but two letters of inheritance, for people named Ogol and Lob. I didn't recognize the names, so I came to the computer and looked them up, and they're Orcs from Largashbur, that stronghold that's always being attacked by giants. This one's a WTF because I had finished that quest some time ago so they should have been safe now. But apparently me passing by on the road to the imperial camp triggered another giant attack on the stronghold, and those two characters got killed by it. Times like this, I regret being a console player who can't have the unofficial patch that fixes dumb problems like that.

I was about to create a new thread for this, but then found this thread, which seems to fit.

I find a laugh out loud moments fall into two categories — 1. obvious bugs in Skyrim and 2. events that are part of the built-in randomness of the game designed to keep it interesting.

Something that definitely falls into the bug category was when I was on the deck of the Northern Maiden after fast traveling to Solstheim and I saw this “flash“ and I turned around and there was the giant skeleton of the last Dragon I had recently killed appearing behind me right there on the deck of the boat!

Here is a funny “only happened to me once“ event. I was at Katla’s Farm near Solitude to knock out an escaped criminal for the Companions. I was sneaking about, some distance from Katla’s Farm, near the main trail to Solitude and getting ready to close in for the kill. I started shooting arrows at the criminal when all of a sudden, a horse appears, finishes the job for me and then calmly walks back to the stables! Never had that happen before or since! No, I didn’t own the horse!

Here’s another funny happening. I was battling a bandit near the Altar of Thrond at a mountainside in Solstheim. After using my staff to summon a Dremora Lord who proceeded to cut the bandit’s head off, I watched the head roll down the hill until it hit some stones. Venturing into the cave there, I found the quest item I was looking for. Once back outside, I was thinking about my next move when all of a sudden the bandit’s head once again rolls past me! The body of the bandit seemed to be gone by then, but I could still loot the head!

Occasionally, a door to a business or residence will be unlocked, but after you enter the building, you get asked to leave as though you are trespassing. I want to tell them, "Well I'm sorry, but for Talos' sake, your door was unlocked, asshole!"

Yesterday while playing Skyrim I went from Whiterun to Shearpoint to kill the dragon and Krosis and visit the word wall. While I was there fighting the dragon, a fugitive accosted me and gave me some item, telling me not to lose it. The dragon was literally blowing fire on us while he was talking. I came damn close to getting killed. I managed to exit the conversation and heal myself, and he ran off.

Just now, while approaching Whiterun from the north, a hunter came up to me and asked if I'd seen someone run past just now. Perplexed, I truthfully told him "no". I then cast detect life and detect dead through the surrounding area to try to find the missing fugitive (I thought maybe he'd gotten killed by a tiger or something), but couldn't find anything.

I was confused until it hit me: he was referring to the fugitive who'd come up to me at Shearpoint the other day. This was yesterday in real-world time, and well over a week ago in Skyrim time. I've mostly been in the east and north of Skyrim since then, only just got back to Whiterun for the first time in ages. Turns out that fugitive followed me all the way from just northeast of Whiterun to Shearpoint, and this hunter has been there the whole time waiting for me.

My favorite glitch that has ever happened to me, I THINK has only happened to ME? So I had Cicero with me, because he’s essential and I love my crazy jester to bits, when I started the Dawnguard and Serana just did not care! She even let him go into the SOUL CAIRN WITH US?!?! Well.. I can’t remember if he went in with us but he got to do every other Dawnguard mission! So two badass essential characters were with me AT ALL TIMES?!?! The only thing is I would occasionally hit one of them accidentally and then it was a blood bath they tried to kill each other a lot... I just kinda pretended they were a couple at that point. I still can’t remember how I did that glitch but if I could ever recreate it I would! It was so FUNNY!

On the night to remember daedric quest, there is a part of the quest where you propose to marry a hagraven, and you have to get the ring back from her. I had always played as a male nord when starting a new game, because I had never figured out how to change the character to a female at the beginning of the game, until my character I am currently playing as now, being a female nord. I had wondered who I would need to get the ring back from on the night to remember daedric quest when playing as a female character, and I got a chuckle, although was a little disappointed when I found out it was still the same hagraven. Like, is that hagraven a bi, and will go both ways? LOL

I was playing skyrim yesterday, and a dragon was flying over whiterun, and I tried to nail the dragon with my dragon rend shout and make it land, but I missed, then it got away, and I was confronted by a whiterun guard saying you need to stop what you are doing, that shouting is making people nervous. I responded by telling him sorry it won't happen again. I wished there had been a response in the scripting saying, "Yes, I'll do as you asked and stop being a hero by helping out with my sword arm and mastery of the thuum! Are you sure that's really what you want from this dragonborn hero who has gone to Sovngarde and slew Alduin and returned to tell the tale?"

I didn't know this could happen in Helgen.

I started a Khajiit character, and in the big room with loads of (in this case) Imperial enemies I simply sneaked along a wall and pulled the bridge level without being detected. Which left Ralof and the Stormcloaks fighting the enemies as I progressed further. I almost managed to sneak past the spiders but ultimately they spotted me and I had to burn them. Ralof was nowhere to be seen, and the bridge hadn't collapsed yet.

I sneak killed the bear in the cave (sneaked up to it and punched a sneak attack), and when I got to the cave exit I finally got the vibration indicating Alduin had caused the bridge to collapse.

I didn't see or hear any sign of Ralof between the Imperial room and exiting the cave. Sneak ftw. :D

I recently got the ebony blade and to improve its powers i killed and resurrected (several times) a follower that i had gotten tired of. I regretted it later and missed her. It was Meresine from the interesting NPCs mod.

After killing her the last time, i disposed of the body using a mod that lets you disintegrate bodies with a fire spell. The last time i killed her, i got the decapitation animation and saw her head fly off.

Anyway, a couple of in game days later, i walked into the Bannered Mare and she was sitting on one of the benches, doing the bread eating animation, with no head, just the bloody stump of her neck. It was chilling.

I started a dialogue with her, she didnt answer, but when i asked her to follow me, her neck sort of turned, with no head on it, as if to look at me.

At that point, she got up and left the Bannered Mare and i havent seen her since.

But its creepy knowing that somewhere in the world of Skyrim, one of my followers, whom I unjustly killed to gain favor with a Daedra, is wondering the world with no head.

1of my Wtf moments... The two sisters from the clothes shop in Solitude. Got tired of they crappy attitudes. Snuck into house at like 2am to assassinate them. They sleeping in same bed?uh ok? Seems weird since there's 3 beds in house. Was my first serious uh Wtf. Besides all of riverwood attacking me for wanting some fried chicken. Damn...

1 lol moment prob still my top 3... So i was using the mjoll lioness chick as a follower for my battle mage(one hand/destruction) build. Bc shes a good tank and i had already got lydia killed. Whoops... I was running through a wooded area and she came up from in front of me somehow bc id just came over a mountain... Any ways... She kinda startled me. And i cut her head off in a cutscene. I mean it looked cool. I laughed the shock wore off. A mage decaptating a heavily armored warrior nice image... I wish i could of kept the head...

My WTF moment was when I saw my wood elf standing on his horse riding a short while before he sat down in the saddle! Hilariously funny, made me laugh! Sadly I have no picture of that just yet!

I have many WTF moments, last one yesterday, when I attacked a stormcloack camp, just because.... I mean, we Imperials already won the war but it's always a good day to scare some stormcloak...and all the horses at some point started levitating towards the sky....they simply decided it was time to fly! I mean, I would have never, ever touched a horse, so that was a little too much. They were like hot air balloons going up up up....I stared for a while. But I had to go back home before nighttime so I left them there. Wonder where they are now....
