Esi simply grinned and tilted his head to the side looking at his rather deadly friend "For a kin of undeath your rather bland, your kind usually reveals in the joy of death and most importantly the kindred of blood" Esi began to relax more drinking his home brew before leaving the goblet he had attempted to force the dead to drink now in front of him on a small lavish wooden table. Looking dead straight towards the kin of death he took a stoic approached of stature in his speech sipping his brew one last time he placed it down and then took a breathe "You must know of unjust treatment, of loyalties that fade, the utter bitter feeling of hate and distrust?" His eyes staying stern as he never looked away from his shadowy dead friend, using his nostrils he engulfed them in the aroma of his brew almost having a fit of ecstasy to the smell of the moon sugar breaching his nose "Nords have never cared for any but there own, they keep my people out of their cities and towns cause they can't trust us, yet within those walls they sow their own deceit against one another." Rolling his tongue over his lips and exposing his large pearl white teeth in all their glory he smiled more "The Grey-Manes are staunch supporters of Ulfric and his freedom fighters the Stormcloaks" Sighing at his own remark towards the stormcloaks Esi leaned forward "I have worked for Ulfric on many occasions killing and slaughtering imperials, boys that were not even past their fifteenth winter, cause they were enemies fighting on the wrong side" Guilt seemed to express across the cats face as he looked down shaking his head "I had faith in the Stormcloaks, i had faith in Ulfric and his wish to free his people from tyranny of the High Elves and their superiority complex" Grasping his cup he took a long drink before planing it down again wiping his lips as they were drenched in his brew. "I even worked for the Grey-Manes on occasion doing jobs for them, you know they hired me to help them get rid of imperial presence in the city of Whiterun. First time i ever declined a job. They asked me to go into a military school just out of Skyrims borders. Filled to the brim with fresh young recruits of kids, I have done terrible things already to those that were not of proper age to fight, just boys wielding swords cause they want to fight with their fathers or fight to avenge their dead fathers."
Grimace had struck across the cats face as he brushed his fur atop his head then fixed a braid in his furry mutton like beard, once fixing it he took another drink of brew. "That military school was a lie, i went their myself before accepting this contract. Those honor bound Nords that call themselves Grey-Manes wanted me to burn an orphanage down, Why? cause it was under imperial protection? Those children were not fighters they were sons and daughters of warriors who had no family to go to, who's mothers and fathers were killed in this civil war" Esi laughed "The Nords, they lie about honor, about pride and about those dam traditions!" Slamming his fist on the table in anger "I went to Ulfric to tell him about the Grey-Manes intentions and what they tried to pay me to do, I thought the great Bear of Windhelm would punish them, but you know what he said..." Esi took a breathe before calming himself again taking another sit of his almost empty brew, reaching for the large mug he had filled with his brew gripping his goblet "His words were, in war you must sometimes do things that could be called extreme" chuckling to himself Esi poured more of his brew from the mug to the goblet "Yes i know i have killed many a young including the Grey-Manes youth, but they were of age, their mind was polluted by their family corrupted and twisted, i showed them mercy they were peacefully put to sleep, i never brutalized them, never touched them!" Sipping his now full Goblet Esi looked at the figure "You were once a man, you felt the pain of loss and betrayal, ever since i came to Skyrim i have tried to do what is best for me, tried to achive what i want to escape from my past, but ever time i try those Nords try to take it away from me.." Looking down into his cup the cat slammed it down a small bit spilling "I have spent my time in jails for crimes i did not commit!" Esi was shouting with a firm and bold voice his eyes like fire "I have be accused of foul deeds all because of my race!" Taking a large drink of his brew he calmed down again and adjusted himself in his seat "Nords have no honor, none of Ulfrics Nords do, even the Imperials treat us like second class, we have fought for the High Elves in the great war, yes we did. But we did it cause they were the only ones who appeared to us in our time of need." Taking a deep sigh "I came to Skyrim to escape wrong doing, and in the end i chose the wrong side at the start. I Honestly believed in the tradition of the Nords, their concept of honor and the way they fought for freedom inspired me" shaking his head in disgust "But the Stormcloaks wont stop with the Imperials, Ulfric is truly a monster, he has plans for after he becomes high king that he will wage a war on all races of elves" Chuckling some more Esi looked at the stranger., his eyes where hiding something of pain, yet he never tried to let it be known.
"The Grey-Manes deserved what they got and the Imperials are just the two of lesser evils, I chose to try to change my ways, but if i do that i will only spend an eternity behind bars cause the Nords of Skyrim hate my kin, every time i enter a city i have to provide proof of why i am here, if i don't i will be threatened by the guard and ask to leave once, if i don't leave quickly enough they will decide to beat me and then throw me in a cell for not following their laws" Standing and sighing he licked his lips, his stature was not firm or stoic, but rather tiresome "Sorry for the rant, if you were paid to kill me then do it, I have spent a life trying to do right. But this world is only meant to be in turmoil" Placing himself in his eat he drank more of his brew humming a small tune to himself looking at his unknown future. Even in his confidence the cat took his daggers out and placed them on the table.
