I think my favorite quest is no stone unturned theves guild quest. I know all the stones of barenziah locations by heart and my character has 100 of each type of precious gems that I haven't even sold yet. When I finally do decide to sell them it will take forever tediously saving and reloading my game to replenish the merchants' available gold. Lol

I don't know how your speech skill is, but if you put in the merchant perk and the perk to invest, you can increase the merchant's available gold and also sell anything to them, no matter what type of merchant they are.

What I usually do then is sell my expensive goods, buy back full grand soul gems or needed ingots, enchantments I still need, things like that. A trip to the college, and I can usually dump 20-30 banish weapons and come out with all their gold, plus a good assortment of spells, enchantments, and full soul gems.

Yes I know about those perks. My speech skill is maxed out at 100 and I have selected all the perks on the speech skill tree, including the master trader perk which will further increase the available gold of all the merchants in the world by 1000. Also, after completing the thieves guild quest line, when doing jobs to restore the wealth to the guild, for each major city in skyrim that you restore the guilds influence to, it will increase the available gold of the guild fence merchants. (Tonilia in the ragged flagon, endon in markarth, and that dunmer merchant chick in windhelm, I forgot her name) If your speech skill is maxed out and if you have all 5 ranks in the haggle perk, and the master trader perk, the 3 guild fences will have 5000 available gold after completely restoring the guild's influence in windhelm, solitude, Markarth, and whiterun.

I love Ancestral Worship. It's a fairly short quest (which is good because I don't like quests that drag on) and you get a good amount of drama with Golldir and his family history and the evil elf who has taken over his ancestral tomb - it's a quest that illustrates the hatred between Nords and Elves and magic, even though Golldir isn't all that racist because he'll be friendly to an elfen dragonborn, and he's one of my favourite followers.
