PS3 An apparent magicka bug in my game

I'm having a problem right now in my PS3 Skyrim game. My magicka seems to be fluctuating up and down by 100 points.

Earlier this morning while playing, I noticed my magicka at 376 after I put on the Mage's Circlet given by Savos Aren.

Later, while in the wilderness east of Winterhold, I felt like my magicka was running out faster than it should during combat. That could be a matter of perception though, simply because the need for magicka is greater during combat and so much is happening in a short space of time. But I also noticed that when I dual-cast the "Ironflesh" spell, sometimes it seemed to take up a much larger proportion of my magicka than other times. So I checked my magicka, and found it at 276. This really confused me. So I kept checking it repeatedly, and every time I checked it thereafter, it was still 276. It drove me crazy because I was SURE I had seen it at 376, but I thought maybe I just misread it somehow and it was 276 all along.

Then just now, in Riften, I was looking at the perks screen and saw it at 386 (I've had one level-up in the interim, which I put into magicka). So now I'm just utterly confused, and I decided to do the math.

My character is wearing Apprentice Robes of Restoration, the Gauldur Amulet Fragment from Saarthal (+30 magicka), a pair of gloves which I enchanted to add +26 magicka, Mage's Circlet (+70 magicka), a ring which adds 40% to magicka regeneration, and an unenchanted pair of boots. So, all told, my items are supposed to add 126 magicka.

I'm playing a pure mage character, so most of my level-ups go into magicka, and I'm currently at level 28. I have 190 health and 120 stamina, which means I've put nine of my level-ups into health and two into stamina. Which means I've put sixteen level-ups into magicka, so my base magicka is 260. Add the boost that my items are supposed to give to my magicka, and it's 386. It adds up.

So then, why does my magicka keep dropping to 286? It seems that the enchantments on the Mage's Circlet and the Gauldur Amulet Fragment are failing, but the enchantment on the pair of gloves (which I enchanted myself, unlike the other items which came pre-enchanted) is still working. So, much of the time, I'm only getting a boost of 26 magicka, when I'm supposed to be getting 126. That seems, to me, a pretty serious problem that has a significant effect on gameplay.

Is this a known problem with the game? Is there anything that can be done about it?

Since I posted this two days ago, I've been keeping a close eye on my magicka and, so far, the problem hasn't recurred (at least not at any time in which I was paying attention to it). So hopefully it was a one-time thing and, if it happens again, it can be resolved just by turning the game off and back on. Or something.

I can do some more research for you and see if I can find any known bugs having to do with this on the PS3. However, I'll tell you now that I don't have any notable knowledge of a bug that is like this without having mods installed. Given your platform that can't be the case. My best guess is that you had some sort of nerf in effect on your character that reduced your total magicka in game. The way you can check this is by going into your character menu, then magicka, and then find the active effects section. In that little menu, you can find all the effects your enchantments add, as well as blessings and afflictions. If this does happen again, check there and see if you see anything highlighted in red--odds are this might be what caused your magicka to drop as it did.

It could be something like Witbane, or Brainrot. However, I'm not finding any disease that you can get in the game that would reduce your magicka but 100. I'll keep looking for you and see what I can turn up!
