Something about the 'Chef of Wrath' is funny. :D

I seem to be suffering from a bad case of rerollitis, so I tried this system to see whether it'd help me stick with a character. Here's what I got:

Nord
Charity
Wrath (Heh... no more leaving those pesky roadside thieves alive)
Strength and Mastery (I'm using a mod that makes me pick six main skills during chargen; will be picking all three of both of these groups)
Soldier
Riften
Fears spiders
Interested in culinary arts
Motivation: Redemption

This definitely looks like a character I'll be able to take through exactly those questlines and quests I'd like to do. Gonna (have to) come up with a real backstory that explains everything (soldier and strength go well together, which makes it easier). Culinary arts should be interesting...
Lately I've been starting in the Rift a LOT, but that hold is admittedly one of the "easiest" ones (along with Whiterun and Falkreath) to start in. It's neither freezing cold (using Frostfall) nor infested with Forsworn and their matriarchs. :D

Thanks for the great system! :)

I rolled another character using this system. I didn't randomize race or motivation for coming to Skyrim, the former because I don't want to end up re-rolling within two days and the latter because I'm using an alternate start mod.

- Nord
- Diligence
- Gluttony (should be interesting with my needs mod)
- Smithing, Two-Handed, Speech
- Fisherman
- Riften
- Fears spiders
- Interested in horseback riding

I'm going to pick an alternate start that starts me off as a homeowner in Riften. I'll be spending time at the fishery/docks/lake, and early on accept Bolli's delivery quest. That will get me to Markarth, where I can then buy a horse (really like the pintos). Will ride bareback when just relaxing, so that horsie can relax as well.

Diligence means I won't be looting bodies, which in turn means I'm going to have a hard time getting enough arrows once I eventually start the MQ and activate dragons. And speaking of the MQ, motivation/reason for going to Helgen is going to be missing parents. They'll have left for Helgen to attend an annual "Fish Dish of the Year" event and never come back.

Arachnophobia caused by a past trauma; was taking a nap outside, in the nearby forest, and woke up to a huge spider dripping venom on my face. Considering the size of Skyrim's spiders that would be enough to traumatize almost anyone...

I'll have lived in Skyrim all my life, which gives me an excuse not to use the map except when a quest tells me to "find x" without saying where x is. (Like the Fine-Cut Void Salts quest, for example; it only gives a map marker.)

Riften being my hometown, I'll be doing everything I can to make it a better place. This includes but is not limited to ending the Skooma business, ridding the orphans of Grelod (but not by killing her; a brilliant mod) and disbanding the Thieves' Guild (another mod). :D

I was very intrigued and looking for a good reason to play Skyrim again. Here's what I rolled:

Ja'adirr
Race: Khajiit
Virtue: Temperance
Flaw: Pride
Talents: Agility(one-handed, light armor) and sneak
Occupation: Soldier
Location: Kynesgrove
Fear: Vampires
Interest: History
Motivation: War

Ja'adirr was born and raised in the Imperial City, where he began a life-long love of history and lore. Unfortunately, when he was only a cub, a vampire snuck into their home and killed his mother, instilling an enduring fear and hatred of the creatures. Surprisingly, at least to his father, Ja'adirr was never swayed by any local or visiting skooma dealers, and has only ever drunk alcohol during special occasions. Unfortunately Ja'adirr never really learned to be gracious about this fact, and always lorded it over the other local khajiit. He never had many khajiit friends. As he got older, Ja'adirr, feeling a need to explore the rest of Cyrodiil, joined with the Imperial Legion. This was also a good chance to have access to a much wider and more varied field of knowledge than he ever had as a cub. Since the end of the Great War and the White Gold Concordat, Ja'adirr has been stationed in Kynesgrove, in order to spy on Windhelm and hopefully find out useful information to be used against Ulfric Stormcloak.

I think I'm going to have a good time!

Falmer
Markarth
She was born to an orc blacksmith and a breton miner and part time magician in High Rock. She loved magic but was scolded by her father who wanted her to become a blacksmith. Then one day when she was 23 her parents disappeared. Stressed, she turned to drugs and alcoholism to try and soothe herself. Then, after having a drunken vision, she decided to try and find out what happened to her parents. She always tries to seduce merchants to help her or drop prices on valuable items.
Her fear of the falmer led her to blame all of her problems on them. Although she never dares to challenge them face to face. After a while, she decides Markarth should be a place to look, remembering her mother's mining job. She decides to mine for a living to get money for equipment. She walks in and out of Markarth hoping her mother will come to Markarth.

since I have no dice and I don't trust myself not to roll until it's the same I always play, anyone care to roll me 2-3 characters?

since I have no dice and I don't trust myself not to roll until it's the same I always play, anyone care to roll me 2-3 characters?

I'm sure you can find an online dice, you know one that you can click on and it gives a result randomly!

Well, I've been stuck on making a new character for a while now and this helped! I have it bookmarked for when I want to get a nice random one. I do agree with rolling odd and evens for genders; so I rolled two dice. Odd - Female and Even - Male.

This was the result. If I end up typing a mini backstory it's because I have been trying to think up one.
Gender: Female (Got 11)
Race: Nord
Primary Virtue: Charity
Primary Flaw: Greed
Main Talent: Wisdom (Restoration, Destruction, Conjuration)
Current Occupation: Hunter
Starting Location: Solitude
Fears: Ghosts
Interests: Politics
Motivation: Recovery

Born into a rich family in Solitude, Alexandrites life has always been lavish. Despite her attempts to help the less fortunate, she always turns around two seconds later to buy herself a new dress or a new necklace. Alexs' sister is a lot different from her (might even make a character for the sister :p). She fights the enemy every day; the Stormcloaks. Her parents are always comparing their bratty child to their heroic one. Well, Alex was always nagged so what did she do? She joined the Bards College to get her nagging parents off her back. Alexandrite was told to retrieve the verse and did she ever get the poop scared out of her. Since then, ghosts have been her ultimate weakness. Their ectoplasm is gooey and gross and they are way too see through! (Yeah that quest in Ivarstead... never gonna get done)

Apart from her deathly fear of ghost (ha ha get it?) and her rich girl status making her want the whole world, she has a decent life. Well, until she was kicked from home to be like her sister and be adventurous! Preposterous!

Anyway, dunno where she gets the magic from yet... maybe lessons from the court wizard in secret for a little blood (wink wink). She can use conjuration for a bow for hunting so that's pretty good... might make anther after I get the ball rolling with Alexandrite. And yes, I think I will name all my characters after gems from now on. Well, the rich people.

Edit: I have no idea where her recovery will come into it... maybe she was severely injured after taunting a beggar with her new dress? She seems like she would do that in my head already.

I also thought you could do an optional one for Daedric Worship. (even an Aedra one too if you want to be goody)
Purely optional and you would go to an online dice roller and roll two dice with 8 sides each.
1. N/A
2. Sheogorath
3. Molag Bal
4. Hermaeus Mora
5. Vaermina
6. Azura
7. Clavicus Vile
8. Boethiah
9. Malacath
10. Namira
11. Meridia
12. Peryite
13. Sanguine
14. Mephala
15. Hircine
16. Mehrunes Dagon

Whoever you roll, you'd have to try and get their artifact as soon as possible and kill their enemies worshipers if possible. So if you got Molag Bal, go kill Boethiahs at her shrine. You could even go as far as to refuse to do any other Daedric quests and do stuff that would suit your Prince (Werewolf for Hircine and Vamp for Molag?). The Make your Own Home mod goes well cause you can add a shrine to your home!

Apart from that, that's all I have to add a little personality to your character with their morals and behaviours. It would be fun to try and follow your Daedras ways.

That's all I have to offer. Happy Skyriming :)

I hope I'm not necro'ing a thread, but I took Porchdrinker's system and made a few tweaks, added a few options, and built it as a generator for the web. I figured I would drop this here in case anyone would find it useful. I'm about to do a series of 'hardcore' play-throughs, so finding/building this was a gift from the Divines. May it bring you many hours of fun, random good times.

https://codepen.io/nekoyoubi/pen/xddPoo/

Please note, I am currently missing a lot of descriptions in the jobs (occupations), and all of the descriptions in the fears. Other than that, it should all be in working order. Also, I dropped the "talent" roll, as I felt it didn't offer a real chance for creative skill combinations. I've replaced it with a simple system of selecting three random skills and if an anti-pair is found, re-rolling until it's safe. Current anti-pairs are Block & Archery, One-handed & Two-handed, and Light Armor & Heavy Armor.

Saw a lot of people liked this system so I thought I might try it out (I enjoyed making this character).

Tolbjorn Silver-Chunker
Race: Nord
Primary Virtue: Valour
Primary Flaw: Wrath
Talents: Agility
Occupation: Blacksmith
Location: Karthwasten
Fear: Spider
Interests: Mountain Climbing

Tolbjorn was born to two miners working the silver mines of Karthwasten. There weren't many workers at the mine so growing up Tolbjorn would have to lend a hand. Due to his lean stature, he was able to climb to high places in the mountain side to dig out silver veins. Often times he would climb up to a high place and read books of legendary craftsmanship and dreamed to one day work the Skyforge. Many a times when he climbed he would encounter many frostbite spiders, which developed into a mortal fear of his.

As he got older he became more agile and his father taught him the ways of a smith. He would often fashion silver jewelry and the occasional iron dagger which he would sell in Markarth's market. Often he would overcast the silver and would anger quickly.

When he reached adulthood his mother became ill with Rockjoint and died in her sleep. As a child Tolbjorn had promised her that he would become the best smith in Skyrim. After her death he set out to complete this challenge in her name.
(Start of game)

Sorry if mine doesn't have the best backstory but I did have. Thanks for the character generated :b:

On the whole fear/interest thing, wouldn't it make sense to do two rolls on whichever ones you choose? (Because people generally have more then one interest or fear)

Race: Breton/Nord (I'm not fond of playing Bretons, so I re-rolled, but then I felt bad, so I'm compromising. She's half 'n' half)
Virtue: Charity
Flaw: Greed
Talents: Main: Intelligence (lockpicking + alchemy); secondary: Wisdom (conjuration)
Current Occupation: Hunter
Starting Location: Morthal
Fears: Spriggans
Interests: Theology
Motivation: Exile

I started typing a backstory and then it started turning into a full-fledged novel, and I wasn't sure how well that'd be received. XD

So I'm hoping I'm also not necroing this thread, but I thought the character creator on here was pretty awesome. I'd just gotten back to Skyrim these past few days but ran out of ideas for characters. I'd never really, like properly roleplayed on Skyrim before and I thought about trying it out when I came across this random character creator. So i decided to roll just this 1 character and go and roleplay with whatever comes up. Later on while getting my character started up I decided to play it the hardcore way, so dead is dead. This is my roll:

Race - Altmer
Virtue - Valour
Flaw - Envy
Main Talent - Wisdom (Restoration & Destruction)
Secondary Talent: Intelligence (Enchanting) (For the secondary talent I chose to choose one of available options instead of 2)
Occupation: Fisherman
Starting Location: Riften
Fears: Spiders
Interests: Barter and Economics
Motivation: Redemption

I then named my character Glaron Aedal.

Okay so everything fits together fairly well, except when I rolled the occupation, so I just had to think of a backstory for that. Remember this is my first time really roleplaying, but this is what I came up with:

Glaron's lust for wisdom and his obsessive envy of other people's stance and power have caused him to make a great mistake in his past. Whilst trying to steal books from the Thalmor library near his home, which he had talked his sister Ylara into also, the two got caught by the guards and tried to escape. Guards took a hold of Glaron and Ylara, but Glaron managed to break free from the guards, taking a blade to the face in the process. The startled guards threatened to hurt his sister, and when Glaron made the foolish decision to conjure up a destructive flame spell in his hand, the guard stabbed his sister. Glaron angrily fired his spells at the guards and then fled, not looking back at the scene. He decided to flee to Skyrim and forget about his past. In the city of Riften, where the smuggler took him, he tries to make money off fishing to buy new books and spells and climb up the ranks of society. Eventually he plans to join the College of Winterhold to further expand his wisdom.

So I just gave him a dagger and some light armor and started roleplaying the best I could... Seems like a lot of fun!

Hi. I know I'm pretty late to the party here, so hopefully reviving this doesn't get someone angry. Just wanted to say thanks for the work you did on this, and that i have incorporated some of your ideas into a generated I created(credit given of course). I hope this is okay. If you'd like to take a look at the generator, please let me know. I cannot post the link here due to forum rules, sorry.

No, I’d really like to read that novel.
