As Ash and Micael enter the building Micael keeps his shield raised ready for the worst. The lump in his throat disappears and he sighs relief as the cabin seems abandoned. Before he can relax Ash turns to him and drops to her knees crying. Shocked at the sudden outburst but awkwardly comforting the elf he puts his hands on her shoulders.

"Breathe deep and let it out. Shhh shh shh. Don't cry for him, he died a hero and heroes don't die for tears. Come now."

He leads Ash by the shoulders to the cabins fire place and sets her down, lighting the fire with a short burst of flames. After a brief search he finds some furs and drapes them around her shoulders.

"Stay warm and let it out. I'll make us some food if you can eat and I'll keep the watch tonight."

As he busies himself preparing a hasty meal he watches Wolf walk up to Ash and curl in her lap as her shoulders shake with the occasional sob.

As his hands work on the food Micael's mind wanders, "It never gets easier, by sword spell or fate the deaths never get easier."

Outside the cabin the light from the fire illuminates the windows as the rain outside turns from frigid rain into large white snow flakes.

Silently as the tears fall down my face I stand up abruptly. Looking over to Micael I stumble over to him and hug him tightly. "Please, stay close to me... Your all I have left." Wiping my tears I pet wolf quietly.

Micael brings over the food, simple seasoned mutton seared and apples, and hands some to Ash, seating himself next to her and the fire. "I'm going no where, never mind you that." He finishes his own food and wraps a comforting arm around her shoulders. "Come now sleep, we have many miles to go."

As Micael slowly stirs awake he sees slivers of sunlight cutting through the gloom of the lonely cabin. He let's out a small sigh as his breath blooms in front of him. Slowly he stands to his feet flexing the stiffness before looking about the cabin. Slowly he collects his things, bundling them up and preparing for the next days travel.

Waking up I feel my head pound, a headache from crying so much. Leaning over to my bag I grab some herbs and pop them into my mouth. Feeling the ache start to fade I slowly stand to find Micael gathering our items to get back to traveling. "Morning." I mumble quietly. Walking over to the fire and poke it with a stick. Signing I turn to Micael. "So, have you- um, eaten yet?" He looks almost startled at how quiet my voice is. "I'll take that as a no, I'll make us some breakfast." Shuffling over to my bag I grab some leftover venison from hunting before the storm hit. Grabbing a frying pan I sit back down and get to work on cooking the tough meat. Quietly Micael comes over to sit beside me, eyeing me cautiously. I let a small smile grace my features just to let him know I'm alright, before handing him his breakfast, "Ah almost forgot." Jogging to my bag I grab some wine and pass it to him. "Try it, it's Argonian Bloodwine. It's quite good. For wine at least. It's no Ale or Mead, but ah..." I trail off as I begin to eat my food.

Graciously, yet cautiously, Micael accepts the breakfast and wine from Ash. While the venison is a little tough from the travel the taste brings him back to reality. Ash also hands him the Argonian blood-wine. The first sip is like candied fire and seems to fill the spaces left cold by loss and a long night. After the first sip Micael pours himself a generous coup and pulls out a loaf of bread, splitting it with Ash.

As the two eat in relative silence Micael waits until they are finished to speak. " So...your contact in Markarth. Did he say where we are going?"

Startled by the sudden start of a conversation, I let a small smile slip past. "She, said that the Dragonborn went to a dreadful place called Blackreach. A Dwarven Cave ruin thing." I pause and think. "Well I think it's more of a city. At least that's what it looked like. I've ah, never been there but I know the way. And I know what it looks like, he used to draw it when he couldn't sleep... He had nightmares from just going there once." I sign "He thinks that I'm being held captive there, I really can't believe why he would go through all the trouble to save me from a place he vowed to never go back too..." Running my fingers through my messy hair, I wish for nothing more than a warm bath and an actual shelter. "That's where he found it... The Elder Scroll." As I toss the rest of my meal to Wolf I take another swig of the wine. "My bet is that the Theives Guild and the Dark Brotherhood are working together on this. They guessed he would try to save me, and they were right. There's just one thing I don't understand... He didn't keep the Scroll, he-" I stop dead in my tracks. Jumping to my feet I run to my bag and grab an old letter. "This was sent to me by the people who trained him in the use of Shouts. The Greybeards." Opening it I read out loud.
"Dear Ashryn, we have something for you dear. You must come unto us as soon as you can. Make haste, we have little time to work with. And I fear things are only going to get worse from here on out."
Folding up the letter I hold it close to my chest as the words of the letter finally make sense. "We need to go to High Hrothgar. Now, we have little time to waste." I rush to start to pack my things, I pause looking over to see Micael confused. "I know where the Scroll is, if we get the Scroll can find him. At the very least we can trade the Scrool for him since it's very likely he's been captured. Plus the Greybeards might know something more, and I did promise I would visit a friend up there." Moving back to my bag I turn around once again. "Just... Have an open mind, they don't meet many new people plus they're about as trusting as I was when we met. Except they've had Decades to become stir crazy from staying at the top of the Thoat of the World." I say still mumbling as I continue to pack up the rest of our stuff.
