Micael and I stand at the stables waiting for Ash. Eventually, she arrives. "Does breakfast really take that long? Also, I was chatting to the stable man and he said he had 3 horses for a little elf and her 2 friends. Could that be us?"

Micael leads a horse from the stables, saddled and loaded with his pack and looks at Soridius as he finishes.

"Oh, you were waiting to find out. Well the other two are saddled unless you want to wait for another small elf and two men to come by."

Micael swings up into his saddle with practiced ease, his shield slung over his back.

"So where too wayfinder?" Micael looks quizically to Ash. "Where does one even begin to look for one of these scrolls?"

I fetched my horse. She was beautiful. Chestnut brown with a lovely mane of hair. She was muscly as well, well suited to the mountainous terrain of the reach.

I roll my eyes at the two men and smile. "Yes they are a gift, from a good friend of mine. He also gave me this sword." I say as I pull out the Akaviri blade. "I don't very well know what it does but, it's supposed to be very powerful. I will most likely still use my bow though, we've been through too much together for me to leave her behind. Plus sneaking up on enemies is just as good and running in a killing everyone." I laugh "I've gotten all the food we could possibly need along with some stamina, healing, and magicka potions." Slinging my pack into the saddlebags I take on long look at my mount. A tall white stallion with black spots. He looks down at me a neighs, "Ah a free spirit eh? Well we have something in common then." Walking to the stablehand I put a small pouch of coins into his hand, he starts to speak when I raise my hand and cut him off "Yes I know they've been paid for in whole, but I thought I must pay you for having them saddled and in good shape when we got here." He nods his head in thanks. I walk back to my horse and mount him. "Hmm now all we need to do is name them. Stable boy, was there a name for this horse?" I question him. He shakes his head as he walks closer. "The master didn't name him but I've always called him Ajax..." He mutters quietly, shy for a young boy. I smile down at him "Well I think that's a great name for him, thank you. You must've taken great care of him. I'm sure he appreciates it." Ajax then leans down a nuzzles the small boy as he giggles. "See he says thank you. And here's a thank you from me for helping with the name." I reach into my bag and pull out a sweetroll and handing it to the boy. His eyes light up at the treat. "Thank you m'lady! Your the best!" Then he runs off. I sigh "Kids..." Looking back to my companions I see them smiling. "Oh whatever, I gave them Micael's sweetroll anyway."

Micael gives a mock scowl at Ash's last comment. "There better be enough left for the road."

Micael's horse, black with large white spots, begins to snort and paw at the ground impatiently. "Calm yourself! You've got more of the temperament of a mule you do. There you go you've earned your name Mule." The horse shakes it's head with a loud sigh.

With that the three begin the ride out of Markarth. The mountains, tall and jagged seem to loom over them from all sides. The mountain air is exceptionally cold and crisp broken only by the call of unseen birds. As they make there way it becomes clear that these roads are even more empty than most in this time of civil war, with only the occasional over turned cart abandoned on the side of the path as proof that anyone else had been down them before.

As the trio climb higher through the mountains the already disarming quiet becomes almost unbearable. Micael is lost in thought when Ash stops.
""Wait" she says, "do you hear that?"

    "What?" Soridius responds.

    "No birds..."

At that the quiet is broken by a loud scream. The hills seem to come alive as men dressed in ragged furs, some with antlers protruding from their masked heads, rush from their hiding place among the rocks waving crude stone weapons. Further back a woman with feathers and bone braided in here hair glows with a blue light before flinging icicles the size of spears at the unfortunate group.

The horses rear and scream in panic Micael takes a moment and gathers fire in his hand and flinging it at the nearest attacker. Flames splash across the warriors body but he continues to charge seemingly unaffected. Micael jumps from his horse and equips his shield taking a defensive stance.

I jump down from my horse. “Damn! Forsworn!” I pull out my axe and hold my shield tightly and run to the nearest attacker. I slice downwards with my axe but he blocks it with his remarkably strong stone sword. I pull my axe away, bash him with my shield and deposit my axe into his axe. He screams, then that scream turns to a gargle and he drops to the floor. Micael is throwing fire at another Forsworn, but it has no effect on him. I run behind the Forsworn and swing my axe down onto his head, I hear his skull crack and he screams, I pull my axe out and swing it down again, the scream stops.

Jumping off my horse, I reach behind me and grab an arrow, nocking my bow and taking aim at the same time. My breathing slows and everything around me disappears as I lock on to my target. A Mage hurling ice at my companions. I let my arrow fly and it finds her heart. About to nock another arrow, I turn around when I hear a yelp. Wolf having charged an archer latched his teeth to its neck. He jumps away his back leg bleeding. Dropping my bow I reach for my sword and stab the archer, putting him out of his misery. Wolf looks to me and I see a twinkle in his eyes as he runs off into the fight once more. 'He won't make it much longer on that leg, better end this battle quick.' Running back to my bow I grab it and start firing again taking down three Forsworn before I am pushed to the ground. Bow knocked from my grasp I struggle to fight the man on top of me. "Ugh!" He grabs a dagger and starts to slam it into my throat when he is knocked off of me. Looking up I see Wolf almost tearing him apart. I smile inwardly and get back to the task at hand. There are only two or three left so I decide to tend to Wolf. Walking up to the once small pup, now bigger and fearsome, I make him sit as I start to heal him with magic. Slowly the wound on his thigh closes. I down a magicka potion so I don't get weakened by the magicka loss. "Silly Wolf," I 'scold' "I could've taken him." Smiling down at my little fur ball I pick him up to which he whines. "Hush you, your going to be sore for a while." Turning I see Soridius and Micael have taken care of the rest of our attackers, and I make my way towards them. "Damn Forsworn. Are you alright?" I look over my two companions and only see a few knicks and bruises. "Thank the gods, your both fine." I mutter quietly. "We need to keep moving," I glance around "This was just a scouting party, more will be along shortly. We must hurry." Looking up I see the sun about and hour or two from setting. "We need to get out of the Reach by dark, it's not safe to camp here at night. That's when Forsworn really come out to play." I grimace. Looking around I notice the horses having bolted. "Damned horses. Give me a minute. No animal can resist a Bosmer." Setting Wolf down I command him to stay. I start to hum a little tune, which soon becomes me whiseling and soon enough the horses come back, Ajax leading them. He neighs softly when he sees me. "You great buffoon," I laugh "your supposed to be a war horse, not a kitten." He neighs louder. "There we are my strong boy, alright gentlemen, we need to be off now. Hurry on, before dark preferably." I jump on and look back at the two men. "If you don't hurry I'm going to eat all the Sweetrolls." I taunt.

Micael feels the splash of blood on his face as an axe cleaved the face of the man charging towards him. He gives Soridius a nod of appreciation as he lights more of the attackers aflame. The air comes alive with a torrent of magical flames ice and arrows as both sides bombard one another.

Taking a defensive stance Micael pours flames on the men charging the group. Out of the corner of his eye he sees a giant icicle hurdling in his direction, he reflexively raises his shield and the wards activate sending the spike into the chest of another attacker. For a moment the battlefield is chaos and blood but the party has the upper hand as the attackers are struck down by fire axe and arrow strikes. Before long the attackers are dead and the trio stands amid a pile of corpses and blood. Ash, almost with an inexplicable ability calls the frightened horses back to them.

Ash and Soridius seem I'm shaken by the attack and Micael unsteadily throws himself atop of his own mount.

"I take it such attacks are common in this region then?" As he begins trotting his horse up to the other two.

"Sadly your correct Michael, Forsworn attack anyone they see. Even though they supposedly hate Nords the most, they will attack on sight. Luckily they didn't have a Briarheart with them. Then we might've had a harder fight." Looking up the Sun seems close to setting. "We might not be as far out of the Reach as I'd like, but it's about time to set up camp for the night. We can keep going for a bit or stop now. It's up to you."

"Well if these hills are crawling with as many of these people as it seems than it would be best to find a village or somewhere safe before we decide to take a rest."

As he's speaking and riding his "Mule" Micael absentmindedly heals himself before riding next to Soridius and doing the same for the Redguard, superficial as the wounds may be.

"And I wouldn't be opposed to a warm bed if we can find one. Ash. You never properly said where it was we were headed, maybe there is a village on the way?"

Micael finishes the statement pulling out a map and looking over it trying to find there location by what sun light remains.

"Dragon bridge should be up ahead, but it'll long have been dark before we get there, hmm." Looking up towards the sky Ash notices the dark clouds looming in the distance. Sighing she adds "And it seems we will have a bit of rainfall sometime in the night aswell... We'll have to find a cave or something to take cover in tonight." Smelling the air I notice an animal musk on the wind, almost like Wolf, yet oh so different from the older pup. 'Something I've smelled before, yet I can not name it...' Looking at the two men riding behind me I pause, a shudder going down my spine. Yet I can not place why. 'It's feels like we're being watched.' I realize. Looking around I see nothing and carry along not wanting to scare the two men behind me if its just nothing.

"Dragonbridge would be perfect. I can pick up my personal effects while we are there. I'm starting to think there isn't much reason for me to hide anymore and honestly..." Micael shrugs in his now apparently ill fitting steel armor, "whoever forged this is novice at best."

Micael rummages through his pack and takes out a bottle of brandy and has a sip and looks up as the first hints of rain sprinkle his face. He gives Soridius a whistle for his attention and tosses the bottle.

"Pass it around, it will make the night a little less miserable." He then pulls his shield of off his back and balances it on his head, keeping the rain off of him.

“Yes, let’s go to Dragon Bridge. I need to talk to someone there about an argument we had years ago.” I catch the brandy and take a swig “Thanks” I offer the bottle to Ash.

Taking a sip Ash sighs. "We may not have enough time to make it towards Dragonbridge... This rain seems like it's only going to come down harder as the night goes on," She passes the bottle to Michael and looks down towards Wolf trotting along silently. "Not to mention poor Wokf is getting soaked, perhaps I'll have to make him some sort of Armor or something to keep him safer..." Lost in thought Ash summons a candlelight spell so they can see better with the rain coming down harsher. Pulling her hood up she reaches into her pack and grabs her journal, mostly used for sketching ideas down. She flips is open to the next available page and starts to draw furiously. Suddenly a loud crack of lightning followed by ear splitting thunder brings her from her thoughts as the rain only worsens. Yelling over the rain she says "We need to find Shelter! We won't make it much longer in this downfall! Much more I don't need either of you getting sick in this and delaying our journey!" Looking around she notices a small outcropping of rock where the underneath is dry. "Follow me!" She yells. Pulling her horse under the rock and tying him to a fallen tree she put together some dry wood for a fire as she waits for her companions to finish tying their horses up aswell.

Micael, Ash and I sit under the rock and breathe out, relieved. “I’m freezing!” I say. Suddenly, there is a crack of lightning, that makes my ears ring. There is another crack, and the rock above us falls a centimetre and stops again. “We need to get out from under here!” I shout. Micael and Ash nod and crawl out. I crawl out and we are all sitting out from underneath the rock when it falls down again, to about the height at which are heads were a minute before. Suddenly Ash cries “Wolf!” I look back to the rock and wolf is sitting underneath curious about why we crawled out. As Ash cries out the rock slips again. I dive back underneath the rock, blinded with rain. I grab around and feel something furry I pull and wolf is in my arms. There is a horrible sound of stone scraping on stone and wolf and I look up. The rock is falling. On one last impulse I throw wolf towards Ash and Micael. Just as the rock comes free and crashes on top of me.

Hey guys. I’m sorry but Soridius is gone. Personal reasons are keeping me from being able to post as much and post as exciting stuff. Just remember that Soridius is gone. He’s not coming back. I’m sorry Accalia as I really wanted to meet your character. I will read the rp as it goes on when I have time though. If I ever get the time to be able to actually be involved in the rp again I might come back as a new character (if you guys want to let me back in that is). I’ve loved being a part of this rp from the very beginning. This has been a great adventure from all the way back when Soridius and Ash met in an inn.

Just wanted to say thank you very much to all of you for giving me an amazing experience. Hope that I will be able to join the rp again. TheDovahkin

"Soridius NO!" I scream as the rocks fall on top of my friend. I put Wolf on the ground and run back to the rocks. Pulling rocks and throwing them down behind me as tears fall from my eyes. "Michael! Help me! W-we have to s-save him!" I yell choking on my tears as they fall into my face. Michael stands and picks me up "Ash-" he starts "No! He's fine! We have to save him!" I cry out. "Ash!" Michael yells. I look up at him tears in my eyes "He's gone..." That's when I notice Michael crying too.

Holding Ash up Micael feels his eyes stinging as he realizes the tears are rolling down his cheeks. He hastily wipes them away.

"We have to keep moving Ash. Soridius...he's gone and we aren't safe here."

I quickly collect up our things, eyeing the mouth of the cave for any further collapse and lead Ash and Wolf back out into the rain. I hold my shield up to keep the worst of it off of the two of us as we scramble across the rain slick rocks. Although the cave wasn't far off the path what began as a light drizzle is quickly becoming a downpour, the clouds over head casting the mountains in a premature twilight.

"Come on Ash I need you to focus for me. I can't find shelter in this weather and if we don't find something soon things could get much worse quickly."

Looking over at Micael I notice the tears running down his cheeks. He opens his mouth and it keeps moving but I don't hear a thing. My heart keeps tugging me towards the pile of rocks on top of my friend. I shake the thought that he's fine out of my head. He's gone. Grabbing Wolf I run to my horse and jump on. Holding Wolf in one hand and the reins in the other I yell at Micael to follow me. Our horses run until I see a small run down shack and steer my horse towards it. Micael following closely behind. Luckily there seems to be a small pen for us to put the horses in. Slowly creeping up to the house the door is broken down. I nod my head towards the door and Micael notices. I crouch down a draw my bow, nocking an arrow and walk through the door. Besides a table thrown over there's not much else. I stand and put my brown back on my back. Turning to face Micael I fall to my knees as the sobs wreck my body. "Why, why do those around me die...?" Wolf comes and lays his head in my lap as the tears for my fallen friend just keep coming.
