"She WHAT!?! You mean to tell my she was a werewolf this whole time! That's kind of a big deal! Who else new about this?" Micael nervous and clearly agitated begins putting his armor back on and cautiously eyeing the treeline at the edge of the fire light.

"Nobody." The Argonian (if she could) would lift an eyebrow, leaning against a tree with her legs crossed at the ankles in front of her. Her bowl sits in her lap, and she has yet to lower her cowl. She simply watches Michael, "Relax." Is all she orders before taking a sip of her soup

"Look I get it. You're big and bad and nothing scares you. Or maybe you haven't seen the damages werewolves can do. I have. And Elouen, sweet as she may be has a beast inside her." Micael finishes getting all of his armor back on and as he is finishing on the last strap he stops in realization. "...this was her secret. The one she was so bad at lying about! Oh tell me this is one of Sheogorath's bad jokes."

"So what are you going to do? KILL her?" Jinn sneers, simply watching him with a curled lip. Ehe then slowly goes to stand up. "She's long gone by down. I debated killing her while on the road but I doubt you would believe me- an Argonian. I could have killed her in the forest but I didn't."

"I don't know I..." Micael's shoulders sag in defeat and he sighs to himself and takes a seat on the ground. "...ugh. I probably wouldn't have done anything different. Look, I know everyone has their secrets but that's not the sort of thing one wants to find out about their new traveling companion." He pulls out what is left of the blood-wine and takes a long sip starring out into the darkness. "Do you think she will be okay?" Michael looks to Jinn offering the remainder of the wine.

Jinn actually lowers her hood, her horns revealing themselves and...something else in the shadow of the fire.
She quietly takes the remaining wine but there isn't a cold hard wall in front of her anymore. It's a strange feeling. She takes the bottle from his grip and downs the rest of the wine. "She's visiting her friend up in Blood Man's Grotto. She is fine." She grunts after finishing and wiping her mouth

"I hope you are right. Then again you have been up until now. No reason to think that pattern is going to break on this issue." The fire crackles in front of them and Micael stares into the flames feeding more wood into it. His hand reaches out and with a slight gesture the fire flares for just a moment as if it had taken a deep breath. He looks over at Jinn and studies her trying to be unobtrusive as he does before finally speaking. "I'm already armored up again. I can take first watch if you like."

It's subtle, barely noticeable, but Jinn flinches away from the fire when he makes it flare. It's a twitch of the hand, a retraction of sort. But her eyes reveal nothing as they flick to Micael's.

"If it makes you feel better." She replies. It's unclear if it's a sarcastic, passive aggressive response or one of genuine gentleness. It's like she pities his distress, or perhaps it is actual sympathy. It's unclear in the wavering light of the flame

"Very well. You should get some sleep then. My gut is telling me there will be blood tomorrow." He decides to let her aversion to magic go for the moment. If magic disturbs her then it is unlikely an issue that will be solved after knowing each other for a day. Will she keep calm when the fighting starts? Micael wonders. There will be more than a magical flare when it does.

"Our guts are feeling the same then." She replies, and goes to lean herself against the tree. She is still dressed in her leather armor and has yet to take it off. Chances are she won't judging by the ease she feels in leaning against the tree. she oddly doesn't crawl into the tent set up.

Her eyes visibly close and she lets out a deep sigh.

Micael's watch goes by uneventfully. He stokes the fire with wood and reads from his book. When he is certain Jinn is asleep he walks around the campsite setting runes as traps. As the twin moons drift high over head Micael plans for tomorrow, until his internal clock determines the night is half way through and he wakes Jinn for her shift. He makes sure to tell Jinn he had set traps around the camp and there general location although he is purposely vague on their nature.

She listens, attentively, even as she blinks sleep out of her eyes. Jinn grunts at his instructions, nodding along with her arms folded as always. She then turns and just like that, runs up the tree, grabbing onto the limbs and before long she's in a comfortable position. She even goes to pull out a book from her bag; A book he might recognize as an Explorer's Guide to Skyrim. She looks down at him with those unsettling eyes; "Get some sleep." She is surprisingly gentle in her tone.

She was always a little quieter and gentler when she woke up from her nightmares. But she forgot how seemingly understanding it made her toward people. Not that she wasn't. But hasn't traveled with someone in....she has lost track of time. The Argonian curls her tail around a limb and tries to busy her writhing mind with the pages and pictures in her well-worn book. She knows it by heart. But she rereads it anyway.

Maybe because it was all she had before...

The dawn rises, the watch is uneventful. But Jinn's tail is flicking side to side nervously. Restlessly. She feels a battle to be had in the air. Something is wrong and she can feel it.

Once the sun peeks over the horizon, she lands onto the ground from her tree-perch. She turns to look at Micael, who I assume is in the tent.

He's an odd one that's for sure. Every Breton besides him and Elouen has been sleazy and demeaning of her. What is with this one?

She slowly crouches down, perching like a bird; just watching him breathe like a stalker. Something about him intrigues her, but even that escapes her.

It is only the snap of a twig that rips her out of her thoughts, and she quickly goes to wake him up, albeit a bit roughly.

"Come. Get up. It is time to move."

To his credit Micael wakes quickly and without a sound. He begins quickly and quietly putting his armor back on. He looks to Jinn and in a whisper says, "What is it Jinn? Are we being watched?" His armor is on fast and surprisingly it's all on with out help unlike most heavy armor. He is scanning the tree line when his shield is finally on. This takes maybe three or four minutes.

She's oddly quiet, mulling over his words as she starts disassembling her spit and putting all their left overs away. She finally whispers words that she really wished weren't true: "I don't know." She pauses and comes up beside him, muttering in his ear "you feel it don't you? There will be blood today." Her tail continues its clock-like twitching, and she would eventually move away from him to continue packing.

Micael's blood runs cold as Jinn speaks in his ear. Those words bring the familiar rush of adrenaline and magicka as his stomach sinks. He knows this feeling, it's familiar but it happens every time. "Yes, there will be blood, blood and fire." As the last of the camp is almost packed there's a snap of a twig followed by an explosion and a rush of flame as one of the fire runes trigger accompanied by a short scream and a low moan of pain.

Micael rushes to the woodline and there were he had set one of his runes is a man. He's laying on his back his torso and left side of his face is badly burned and he lays there gasping like a fish out of water as his injuries send him into shock.

Micael kneels beside the man. His restoration was never great but he heals him enough to stabilise the man but he is unconscious. Looking him over he is dressed as you might expect a woodsman to be, light clothing, greens accompanied by hardened leather plates. A yew long bow lays beside him near his hand and an axe, little more than a hatchet is tucked into the belt.

"Damn, this isn't how this should have started. He could be one of the raiders but he could also be from the logging site. His curiosity cost him no matter what his intentions." Micael's face is skewed in concentrations as he mentally plots the next course of action.

When the explosion occurs, it's like every nonexistent hair on Jinn's body stands up. In an instant, she whips out her bow and draws it, she breathes in deeply to focus, ready to kill. But then Micael goes running, and she relaxes her taught bowstring.

She slowly approaches as Micael heals the man, her bow still draw but lowered to her hip. **"Does he need healing potions?"** her tail is already curling like a third arm toward her belt satchel. Her eyes are evidently wide. She hates it when bystanders get in the way. Part of her wants to be furious with Micael for being so foolish and hard-headed to set up the traps like that...but part of her sees no point for being angry at him for something he didn't understand. She forces herself to remain calm and alert, standing over the two men like a sentry

Micael purses his lips in concentration before waving off the potion Jinn reaches for. "No, there is still much we don't know. With as close as we are to the logging site they will have heard the explosion and will send scouts if not an entire party. We leave him where he is and hide and watch them. Hopefully it will reveal more." Micael stands up and looks at their campsite. While everything is packed up their stay here is obvious even to his untrained eye. He looks it over for a moment before nodding to himself and finding a suitable bush to hide in leaving the campsite as it is.

She hums thoughtfully, thinking his words over before leaving the man to lay there unconscious. Instead of a bush, she jumps up into a tree, climbing it like a scalene hunter. Normally an argonian would be obvious, but because or her unusually dark coloring, she blends right into the bark...minus her amber eyes. They are a bit of a give-away.

She is careful to lift her cowl over her head, and stick to the shadows of the tree, shielding her eyes from sight and occasionally glancing toward Micael's direction. Did he really know what he was doing?
