Micael lingers by the bar for a moment before nonchalantly turning to the argonian. "Is that bow of yours for hire?" He says in a tone as disinterested and neutral as if he simply had remarked on the weather.

"Hmmmm." She hums, not even looking at him for a few moments but when she does, it's in the blink of an eye. From underneath the hood, two amber eyes bore into him with such intensity he can feel. "Depends on the pay." Is all she grunts in a low voice. "And no Dwemer."

A slight shiver runs down his spine as the argonian stares him down and he feels like cornered prey for a moment. Perfect. "We can negotiate pay but I guarantee it will be satisfactory. I can not promise on the dwemer but at this point prodding there ruins seems highly unlikely. You don't need to answer immediately, take your time and mull it over. I can meet you back here to see if you're still interested. In the mean time, I'm late to meet someone." He begins walking out of the inn to meet back up with what he now considers his de facto guide and meet with the imperial officer.

The Argonian doesn't say anything. Simply grunts in acknowledgment, and turns back to the Inn keeper. She seems to have taken up his offer of 'thinking it over'.

Elouen looks to him curiously, and then her eyes widen as she seemingly comes to a conclusion. "I see you met the Djinn of the South" she teases lightly, starting to walk toward the building. Her hands are behind her back underneath her cloak. "Did she say anything to you?"

"Not much but I did offer her work. We will see what happens. She seems like a dependable sort." Micael scans the town through the light mist. It wasn't large but he had only arrived earlier that day and was still unfamiliar with the place.

Elouen leads him down the road, suddenly a large building emerges from the fog, a goat on the road right beside it. "She'd probably be better help than me. Has had her eye on a piece of land here in Falkreath. Heard she's s good hunter. One of the few not scared of traveling the roads in this dangerous time." Elouen informs, but seems to partially muse this out loud for herself. She stops at the steps of the huge building, "Here we are!" She smiles at him cheerfully

"Well you seem a reliable guide, which would be indispensable to me right now. I could pay you for your time although I expect I will run into danger now and again. If nothing else your cheerful nature is a welcome relied from the rest of the province." Micael looks towards the Jarl's long house. "I will meet with this Imperial Officer and speak to the Jarl's assistant. See what I can do here. Take your time and see what feels right to you."

She blushes a little at his compliments, and simply smiles warmly, not one to interrupt. She runs a hand through her hair rather bashfully and then nods curtly "I'll wait out here ok?" She offers as he goes to head in.

"Very well, I'll try to be quick." Micael walks into the long house. The gloom inside is broken by slots in the thatched roof for smoke to escape and small oil lanterns mounted into pillars along the central hall. Speaking to an attendant Micael is lead to the guest hall which houses the Imperial command in Falkreath. He is greater by a tall uniformed Redguard his hair cropped short and a stern look on his face. "I am Commander A'Shan. What brings you into my hold?"

Micael silently searches through h8s bag before retrieving a sealed document and a small pendant, similar to a "rook" in chess, carved from marble. "Auxiliary Micael Ro'o reporting sir. I've been sent here to evaluate your hold as well as the others."

The commander cracks the documents seal and reads silently to himself for a moment. He sighs heavily to himself setting the papers onto the table top. "And how can I aid your evaluation of this dismal hold?"

Micael walks over to a map laid out on the table, inspecting it as he speaks, "Commander I have been here a day and already I know that while the Jarl has claimed loyalty to the Empire his family is at odds over this. It makes me question the loyalty of the people. Have you seen anything that might indicate a Stormcloak presence in the area?"

Slowly rubbing his temples in agitation the commander replies, "We have our suspicions but no proof. The Jarl does not send troops to fight but his timber is invaluable. However the most productive logging site has been raided time and again by bandits. Nothing is stolen no one is killed, the workers are simply run off. The Jarl has not commited his own men to anything more than a cursory investigation. I believe either these raiders are in fact Stormcloaks trying to deny us resources, or the Jarl is playing us for fools claiming loyalty while denying us his aid. Neither is certain."

"Hmm. I'll speak with the Jarl as a third party and investigate. If nothing else I will discover this Jarl's true allegiances."

Micael speaks to the Jarl's assistant and only after much haggling a debate is given the job. However rather than killing the bandits and driving them off the official job is to simply scout the bandits in the area. Micael accepts mentally noting the odd request before leaving and searching for his guide once again.

She's not very far off, talking to the local blacksmith, and talking very animatedly about something.

In truth, she's really just talking about her time as a miner and connecting the dots between her job and good ole' Lor's job

"If only there we had a silver mine nearby. Heard those werewolves hate silver." Lor thinks out loud as he scratches his bearded chin. "Maybe would'a prevented that damn murderer from gettin' out."

"Hm. Maybe. I'm not sure how true the silver weakness is though." She replies rather quietly, she seems oddly solemn and subdued.

Micael approaches but is content to just listen in for a moment between the two. When his guide is free he approaches her. "It looks like I've found some work, it should give me some start up gold and hopefully a good reputation with the people. I would however like to take this moment to properly introduce myself. Micael Ro'o." At this he gives an over exaggerated flourishing bow that makes him look just slightly awkward in his heavy iron armor. "Merchant extraordinaire, seller of books, drinker of wines and a patron of all other fine things." He punctuates the end with a cheeky wink.

She seems a little taken aback by his flourish of a bow, her eyes nearly bulging out of her head and she even takes a small step back. It is hardly a moment late that she relaxes, realizing what he's doing.

She can't help but laugh lightly at his introduction and humor, and even gives him a light applause. She then gives the tiniest of curtsies. It's very brief, and her face flushes in sheepish embarrassment. She then just nods her head "Elouen.... Just...Elouen." She chuckles, a little awkward once she realizes she can't one up him. So she opts to be the goof-up "Uhm.... average cook....kinda good at herbs....and...patron of..." she tries to think of something. "Exploration." She laughs at her own flimsy introduction

"I'll say." Lorn grumbles and just goes off to his forge.

"Well, Just Elouen, I am very pleasured to meet you. My offer still stands to be my guide. You have claim to your share of the rewards, although I can not claim it will not be dangerous. In fact this job I've taken involves scouting a bandit camp which needless to say could be quite dangerous." Micael gives Elouen an appraising look and gives her a moment to respond knowing not everyone is eager to go headlong into danger.

She hums thoughtfully, pursing her lips and clearing thinking this over before overing her armored hand "I believe you have yourself a deal! Know which bandit camp? Although scouting is an odd way of putting it..."

"Odd indeed. The job offered no reward for killing the bandits just for information on there whereabouts and disposition." Micael takes her hand shaking it. "These particular bandits have been raiding the timber mills. I imagine that is where we should begin our search. The largest one, the name escapes me has been hit most often but for the time being has been reclaimed. I would like to speak to the workers and see if the argonian scout can track the bandits movements from there."

She listens attentively, nodding and humming in response to indicate she's listening as if her furrowed brow wasn't enough. Then she stands there quietly with her arms folded, muttering "Largest one...." before pulling out her map and looking over it. "Are you talking about...." she brings the map closer to her face and then read "Half-Moon Mill? It's on the lake..."

"Yes! That's the one the attendant mentioned I believe. He said it's grown considerably with the Empires needs but the raids have kept any noticeable increase in production from occuring." Hefting his pack a bit Micael thinks to himself before saying, "Hmm I need to grab a few supplies and then I'm ready to go when you are. We should also speak to that argonian and see when she is ready, what did you say her name was?"

She is still looking at her map, but raises her at his question "oh uh! I think it's-"

"Jinn." A new voice enters. And low and behold the Argonian is on Lorn's porch, leaning against the wall to her side, feet crossed at the ankles.

Elouen is evidently startled , jumping a little away from the argonian and doing a little dance.

"You may call me Jinn." 'Jinn' introduces like she was here the whole time....was she?

"You..." Micael begins with a wide smile spreading across his face, "Are just as good as I thought you might be. Have you accepted my offer? You will be especially well suited for this job, I am assuming you heard the job, yes?" Micael looks her up and down, the tall argonian seems ready for anything, in fact reminding him of another argonian he served with years ago. If these two are anything alike then her skills will be invaluable.

"Hmm. Yes. " she says simply, her tone rather unreadable, her eyes seeming to do the same for Micael. Her tail is is lax against the ground, but it does occasionally sway nonchalantly. She seems to be thinking, before stating: "100 septims now. 100 septims when the job is done. Entice little extra maybe?" Her arms are folded. That most be her paying offer.
