Well I return to Skyrim every now and again; Xbox is telling me I'm on save 3600 and something , so thats probably over 10,000 hrs total........here's a new character I started.
Went straight after Helgen to Solsteim, and stayed. Playing on expert lvl , this is tough, even with all those hrs of exp. I try and play with no prior knowledge [e.g I will level up when it feels right for the char, not save it cos I know a tough battle is around the corner]. He's a Nord, Anders , who's going One Handed/ Block, Heavy Armor, Archery and restoration (restoration wasn't intended but since everything on Solsteim takes most of your health away at low/mid lvls , it's gone that way).
No followers, no fast travel must eat and sleep regularly [Oh the pain of that self inflicted rule on Solsteim....oh Ill sleep now, shop in the morning ....ah heck I'm halfway across the stupid island grhhh]...
Still it's crazy fun, I've died quite a lot, but completing March of The Dead at lvl 14 was going some and then.....
Ash Spawn at low levels , even Ash Hoppers are crazy challenges...Made me a better sword and board fighter though, get a hit in, block, another hit then run like a madman back to Raven Rock. Its a slow, slow grind to start with, but very rewarding when u actually manage to kill something in one sitting as it were.
Many quests [like Final Descent, started at lvl one] I did in bits, many bits. Wander down as far as you can till its just suicidal, retreat to surface, get a bit tougher, continue a few days later.
Anyways, for old hands like myself, it gave a fresh outlook to a new char
