I must agree with Hart and Specter that your character has become OOC in your last post. Yes, Kivuli may be skilled, but Hart's character is capable of lying very well, as well as those on the trip. It would be unfair for your character to know that a skilled and talented merchant who has such a siilver tongue such as hers is lying. Your character cannot be well-rounded: again, this roleplay is designed for weaker, limited-skillset NPCs, not truly playable characters. You must abide to these rules. If I come off as harsh, I do not mean to, but the rules are rules. Please change or delete your most recent post the RP thread to abide to the OOC rule standards of being OP. For now, until you change/delete the post, I will allow others to ignore that post as if it did not happen so that the roleplay can proceed without delay. I apologize, but it is OOC and thus, OP.

Then explain how the heck I can get my character involved if nobody wants to even try to associate with her. x.x Please?

Get creative Kiv! What would your character likely do in that scenario given only the facts they have in it. Realistically how would they react, what would they think and feel, what would they do or say? They don't NEED to interact with that little band of characters, they have a whole province to explore, with many different characters to be around, like Zelda's NPC characters.

It's not up to any of us to help you figure out how to involve your character, it's your job to do that. If you don't know how to get them involved in the story, I'm not sure it'd be best to RP. But I, for one, have faith in your abilities and can't wait to see what you come up with!

1)Four people trying to keep up with a story line is dumb difficult. I don't want to do that.
2) Your character approved a very expensive looking caravan dressed in mourning clothing and wanting to go to Solitude with no particular reason, and I'm pretty sure by lore Khajiit don't wear Nordic mourning attire. So my character has every right to be suspicious.
3) There are plenty of other characters to interact with right now who aren't tied up with other relationships.

I don't think clothing-choice has anything to do with Lore, just because a lot of Khajiit wouldn't wear nordic anything, let alone mourning wear, doesn't make it impossible or non-lore friendly. HOWEVER, I do see your point from your character's perspective. It would be alarming to see a cat dressed like she's going to a funeral, approach and insist on tagging along. To extend on that point as well, you're guys' little band have not only proper motive to be going together, but motive y'all concocted yourselves over months of writing. Kiv, your character has little to no motivation to be joining them whatsoever. They looked past and over your character for all these reasons. Your character is alarming to see, suspicious because of this, and devoid of believable interest in the caravan. Placing her there to join there caravan when they are already on their way out isn't realistic or a likely thing to happen. I think perhaps seeing them and making a brief exchange of words is as much as can even happen between your characters realistically. Keep in mind what your character's motivation is without trying to jump headfirst into a story line that isn't for them. This RP is character driven and each tale of characters is spontaneous and real: treat your character as such. Play them as if you were them, and take them to places they want to go, talk to npc's they would likely be friends with or want to be. It's easy in this RP cause the options are endless! Don't feel pressured to join the fray of other's adventures, cause you can make your own!

Also please remember that it is nobody else's responsibility or fault for your character not fitting into this one group of characters. As Hart said, there are plenty of other options, both Player character wise, and npc wise. It's your responsibility to fit your character into the RP as best and realistic and cool as you can.

I'm just feeling stuck and having no idea what to do.

I dunno, maybe part of the issue is how late in the game I showed up. Y'all have established storylines and here I am swooping in out of nowhere. x.x I'll get the post deleted, give me a bit to come up with something else ok? >.<

This roleplay is filled with options: I'd say there are four different stories going on at once as of now: none are the 'main' one. This is a thread for you to portray an NPC in the world of Skyrim: and there are plenty of options! I have a ton of NPCs I've already posted that I'm sure would love your character, or love to hate her! (Either way you go, haha!) And people still join this thread which allows more stories to unfold, and more characters, and more interactions. That's why I keep this thread open with so many people: it is meant to have so many people. There is no reason to keep up with every story that other people portray, or stories you don't have a character in: that is okay! This thread is a place for people to casually roleplay 'ordinary' characters in a fantasy world and, when waiting for another to reply, can read the stories of others all within the same plot. It truly feels like Skyrim with so many stories going on.

Yes, this roleplay is very different compared to others on this site, but I wanted to try something new. So far, it is going beautifully.

So don't be afraid to be creative Kivuli! PM other members of this thread or me to discuss story ideas, then come here and let the magic begin! I have a boatload of characters to choose from of different backgrounds, personalities, professions, etc. that I'm sure your character would bond easily with. Just explore your options! I know you will come up with something spectacular!

Hey all, I've already informed Zelda privately, but I may not get to post for a week or so, because I am moving states this weekend. However I am attempting to post in the next few days while I am still here. I figure it shouldn't be too big a deal considering I am not involved or holding up any of your characters, just one of Zelda's npc's. But I still wanted to let you guys know! I haven't abandoned this great postings btw everyone, I am loving this progression and development. Let's keep it up!

Okay so I guess I missed it in your CC Kiv, but I need some clarification on your character's cat.

1. Is it one of the Khajiiti breeds? I'm no expert on the race, and thus I don't have the exact racial name for them, but there is a Khajiit type that is essentially a domesticated feline but more intelligent. There is a lore thread for them on the main Roleplay list page, just at the top I believe.

2. Does your character keep her bones and reanimate her whenever she needs or wants? Because having a permanent undead thrawl isn't a likely skill to have by most people in the lore, no matter the size or creature (anybody feel free to correct me here). And let alone a character as young as yours.

3. What is her significance to your character? This one is moreso because I like the general idea and am just curious more than anything ha ha.

A. Dagi. The more tree-climby ones.

B. if Dead Thrall is a teachable spell/purchaseable spell book from any NPC of high enough level in the Conjuration field, I figure an NPC specializing in necromancy can use it too. Though casting it does exhaust nearly all Kiv's mana.

C. Very important. Pandora was Kiv's very first successful casting of Dead Thrall. After that, Kiv took Pandora on every mission her mother sent her on which soon became every time Kiv left Blackreach ever. The two have grown quite close throughout their travels over Skyrim. Kiv refuses to go anywhere without her little skelly cat, and Pandora has gained a nasty habit of biting at people she doesn't like when they get too close to Kiv. Especially the limbs. Pandora loves to bite legs and arms and tails.

Does Pandora ever de-animate? Like via damage or falling or something of the like? (Of course this wouldn't be an issue cause Kiv could respawn her, and she's already dead if course.)

Also I like the dagi being what you chose, probably my favorite if not second favorite, but wouldn't that make her more humanoid and bipedal? The Dagi are like Bosmer in looks, rather than fully feline.

Sort of. She can fall apart as needed or when having taken a hard enough blow, but can reconstruct herself. See, I figure Dead Thrall works like this. Unlike the weaker versions, those renaimated by Dead Thrall have a core of magic in their chest region that is like a self-recharging battery so long as it's not fully used up. That core is what enables Pandora to put herself back together if her form gets broken apart. This can only happen so many times before the core weakens. Also, the more pieces it has to hold together increases how much mana the core is using up, so she can't risk being broken too often either. (Kiv is stocked on those healing undead scrolls for that reason.) Dead Thrall, I figured, requires the caster to put a bit of their soul into the spell along with thier mana. Effectively the Core is a pseudo-Grand Soul Gem partially filled with your soul and the soul of whatever person you're reanimating. Creating a link. So Kiv can technically see and hear whatever Pandora can 'see and hear', and Pandora retains her five basic senses and has a greater sentience than the average housecat because of that link.

It did well enough! I like the idea, never really heard it in lore before, but you are using enough lore elements to make it make sense, so I like it. Also, I take it that because she is a quadruped rather than bipedal, and in the artwork, she looks like a domesticated feline (well skeletal anyway ) that she is Alfiq. Cause the Dagi are essentially regular Khajiit, but instead of a feline look, they have more bosmeri characteristics within them. However if you would like her to be bipedal and more humanoid, then that would, in fact, be what she is. I just wanted to clarify that a little bit better.
