    The Last Dragonborn

"The year is two hundred and one, the Fourth Era.

A home to the Nords now faces corruption, death, crime, rebellion, and... dragons?

Legend tells of a hero, Dovahkiin, a dragon's soul in a mortal's body, born to slay dragons.

With the rebellion caused by Ulfric Stormcloak and the resurrection of dragons, Skyrim is in chaos.

According to rumors, a dragon attacked and destroyed Helgen, leaving very few survivors. One of those survivors slain a dragon outside of Whiterun right before absorbing its power. This, hero... may be the Last Dragonborn.

For us, who knows what this Dragonborn may bring us. Hope? Death? It concerns me, thus the reason I am writing this. I am just an ordinary merchant; my neighbors live the same life. Some more powerful than I and more in the ranks of other guilds still worry for this Dragonborn.

No matter what the Dovahkiin brings to Skyrim, we will still fight for our home.

    With or without him."

This is the Character Forum for The Last Dragonborn Roleplay. In The Last Dragonborn, your character will be living or traveling through Skyrim at the time of the rise of the Last Dragonborn. Your characters will interact with the world, just as every other NPC does. Whether your character is slightly powerful, high-ranking, or an ordinary citizen, they live in the time of change. Fighting for the Imperials or Stormcloaks, joining the Dark Brotherhood or College of Winterhold, Trading as a Merchant or Healing as a Priest; your character is alive.

There are a few rules and guidelines that, when submitting a character card or form here, you automatically agree to follow:

    1. Your character may not know how to use the Thu'um unless they are a Greybeard. No exceptions.
    2. Your character may not be a Jarl, or any top-leader of any guild, faction, group, etc. in Skyrim unless the group is made up and/or you ask first and I know ahead of the roleplay, so it is approved by me. They can however, be second in command, without me knowing prior (although it is highly recommended). From other places of Tamriel, they must be approved by me as well.
    3. Do not God-Mod (make your character super powerful), make your character a Mary-sue (perfect in every way) or make your character a Gary-stue (Awful backstory, sob cry blah blah blah.) With OP characters, I have the right to tell you whether or not you are making your character far too OP in the roleplay. (Your character can still be powerful, but I am the one who decides ultimately if they are far too powerful.) I will ask you to change your response and I will give you a warning. Three warnings and you are out.
    4. No, you can not be a champion for any daedric princes or divines. This is reserved for the Dragonborn.
    5. You can be married to or related to an NPC as long as they are not already taken.
    6. You cannot have any special items that is from the daedra or divines. You can, however, have your own weapons from them. (I.E. Ones you make up that are not vanilla.)
    7. Feel free to have your character join a faction, or as many as they want! However, the higher the ranking one is for a certain group, the less factions you can join.
    8. Your character MUST be approved by me before you can start role playing.
    9. NO BULLYING. Come on? This shouldn't need to be said.
    10. This is 18+, so suggestive content will be present.
    11. Your character(s) cannot be related to, or be acquainted with the Dragonborn. However, they can speak of a meeting with him or perhaps talk rumors about him, just like an NPC would. They can go on quests with him, which are created and approved by me.
    12. The Dragonborn will be role played by me, but he will very rarely make an appearance. This roleplay is focusing on the NPCs anyways as the Dragonborn does what he needs to do. He is the one seen in the Skyrim trailers and advertisement.
    13. Your NPC can be a world-changer! Just because you aren't the Dragonborn does not mean the character is useless or boring; make your character a rebellious assassin wanted by all! Make your character one of the best in the College of Winterhold! Don't be afraid to go all out!
    14. With that said, don't be afraid to ask me questions. This role play is pretty straightforward, and with all the conflicts at the time of the Dragonborn, there is a plethora of scenarios that can play out. Feel free to give suggestions with that as well. So feel free to discuss different 'mini plots' that your characters can go through with other members on this thread. (Note that there is no main plot: these are NPCs. They have their own lives to attend to. Make conflicts with other characters to keep the role play going. Be creative!)
    15. With that said, place your character(s) here, and I will review them! If you would like to use a pre-made form, just ask.
    16. Also, make the form fairly descriptive. I will ask you to add things I find necessary before I completely review.
    17. Have Fun!

    The Kindly Knight

    37aa0a26a6cf49e7d13e01b52a887237.jpg

    Name: Valencia

Nicknames: Valencia the Brave and Val
    Birth name: Valencia Ildrose

Race: 75% Nord and 25% Breton

    Gender: Female

    Age: 24

    Height: 5'7

    Weight: 140 lbs

    Sexuality: Heterosexual

    Laterality: Right Handed

    APPEARANCE

    Skin/Scale/Fur Color: Fair

    Eyes: Light Blue

    Hair Color/Horns/Ears: White

    Hair Style/Feathers: Wavy Short

    Build: Slim with Feminine Muscles

Scars: One cut across chest, one burn on upper left arm, and one cut on right leg.

    Tattoos: None

    Piercings: None

    Other:
    N/A

    APPAREL

Constant Wear: Her clothes are to keep her protected; thus, she wears thick apparel as well as armor. She is always seen with her blue scarf, no matter the weather. Skyrim is usually cold anyways.

Casual Wear: Her protective clothes and armor, of course. She never knows what could happen upon any day, and is always willing to be ready for anything. Again, her trusty blue scarf.

Armor: Her armor is always the same; an entirely handcrafted light armor set that has the stats of heavy armor. It is designed with various small details of leaves, referring to her gentle nature she showed during her epic battle. Also, her blue scarf.

    GEAR

Weapons: She will always carry her favorite one-handed sword and shield wherever she travels. Her sword is the Royal Sword of Wayrest, and her Shield is the Royal Shield of Wayrest. They were forged with some of the strongest of materials in Tamriel, and rumor has it that when necessary, secret enchantments may come from them. She carries a few other weapons, including a dagger and bow.
    923e35cb2f5ef2607f327864e839de51.jpg
    aegis_04.jpg

Magic (If applicable): While she is not knowledgeable on most magic, she is extremely skilled in restoration. She considers it one of her stronger suits as well, which is rare for a warrior-like person. She even dubbed it 'her life saver' in a speech. She also knows a great amount of destruction, which is for when she is stripped of her primary weapons in dangerous situations.

Other: She carries a lot of potions, lockpicks, food, and maps.

    PERSONALITY AND VOICE

Personality: As any hero would be, she is courageous, wise, kind, honorable, and generous. Despite being a woman who has murdered others in battles across vast lands, she is generally very sweet and surprisingly innocent in nature. Her innocence is not to be confused with ignorance, as she knows how evil the world truly is. For her, she radiates a pure heart that tries to bring peace and joy to others; hence the reason why she seems so innocent. She is a very patient and wise woman, and her generosity to help others extends farther than what many can possibly do. Her courage and honor spreads throughout every land she walks upon, hoping to find peace in a world that worships evil and commits such sins.

Fighting Style: Sword and shield come first to her; of course, after her analysis of the situation and environment, of course. Then of course, healing and destruction magic if needed. Her skills with a bow are also great for long-distance.

    Habits:
    - Because of her backstory with royalty and knighthood, she is very polite when interacting with others, even when they are rude to her. She also has a great posture and table manners.
    - She often organizes things, sometimes unintentionally.
    - Counting her coins. She never does this in public, but mostly in her home. She is very self-aware of finances, and wants to make sure she can have a happy life if she somehow cannot return to Wayrest to an unforeseen factor.

    Voice: Emma Watson

    Likes:
    - Exploring
    - Helping Others
    - Dresses
    - Wealth, to an extent
    - Rabbits
    - The Sky, both day and night
    - Learning new things

    Dislikes:
    - Evil
    - The Dark Brotherhood, the Thieves Guild, Bandits, Vampires, Werewolves, Hagravens, Necromancers, Thalmor, and Multiple other 'evil' groups of people.
    - Death
    - Poverty
    - Illness/Injury
    - Arrogance
    - Carelessness

    MISCELLANEOUS

Affiliations: A knight of the Knights of the Rose in Wayrest, High Rock.

    Afflictions/Fears:
    - Surprisingly, death. But she will not let that get in the way of helping others.
    - Failure
    - Her love, surprising as well, and she keeps it a secret.
    - Permanent injury; same with death, she does not let the fear get in the way.

Properties: She owns a property in Whiterun

Job: Knight, Mercenary, and Trader. Healing can be considered, but she doesn't dare ask for payment of such.

Combat Skills: Her combat skills are beyond most. With high stamina, health, and magicka, her combat is spread overall with skill. However, her strongest skills are with a sword and healing.

    Weaknesses:
    - Speed: Because of her heavy armor, she has a slow speed.
    - Offensive Magic: While she may be extremely skilled in Restoration and slightly skilled in Destruction, any magic used against her she is unsuccessful in defending. Being slightly Breton helps this issue slightly, as does her potions she may drink.
    - Group Attacks: One on One or One on a Few, she will dominate. Against large groups, because of her weapon choice, it is difficult for her to fight them all.

    Other:
    - She is secretly disconnected on the affection of love. She prays to Mara, hoping someday she will understand. She wishes to find someone to be her partner, but she desires no children or intercourse. She refuses to say why, and usually ends up pushing away any feelings due to her lost thoughts.
    - She is not a fan of alcohol, and jokingly calls it "brain poison". Despite this, if one manages to get her drunk, she becomes very flirtatious, immature, rebellious, and careless; everything opposite to her. The next day while ill, she will mourn over her actions and apologize constantly.

    HISTORY/BACKSTORY

Born with a healthy baby girl, the parents of Valencia were surprised to see the white hair she possessed. Despite having white hair, they were not concerned, as it was not tinted grey, and she was overall very healthy. She grew up a curious child, wandering the halls of the Wayrest castle. Her father was a respectable and one of the highest ranked knights at the time. Thus, to protect inside the castle itself, Delvon Ildrose was allowed to live within it. The King and Queen were delighted to have another child roaming the halls with their own son, often playing together.

As she grew up, she was taught benevolence and chivalry when in the presence of royalty, to which she became accustomed to both acting like a royal and acting like a knightly guard. Her mother, despite being fully Nordic, taught her daughter the arcane arts, while her knightly father, Breton and Nordic, taught her the ways of the knight. She lived a very happy life, and became very popular among others who visited the castle with her bright personality; enough to where she was mistaken to be a princess.

The years passed, and she grew more mature. Valencia was often found healing the injured knights and guards, talking with civilians, tending to the gardens, training, and reading. While she was never a royal herself, she couldn't help but love the beauty and responsibility it had. The wealth, the responsibility, the changes she could make to the world for the greater good; she wanted it. However, she knew very well it was never in her grasp, and began to take a similar path of career as her father.

More years passed, and as her princely friend grew as well, she managed to form a fondness of the young man. She very often pushed away anything to do with such emotions, as he was a childhood best friend. She did manage to invite him to a dinner with just the two of them, and he did except. Despite this, nothing else came out of it but the continuation of their friendship. This, she did not mind at all.

As her training years passed, she finally became a knight of the Knights of the Rose. Her father was honored to have his daughter follow in his footsteps, and at such a young age. Two years passed after her acceptance, and an ordeal faced the kingdom greatly. An evil man, the name of Fanandar the Strong, stormed the castle with his group of rouges, attempting to murder the royal family to take the throne.

The Knights of the Rose took their stands, and began to battle. While all of this was occurring, the King and Queen were taken into protection in a separate room. In the chaos, their son was lost in the castle. Sprinting frantically, Valencia left to find the prince. She made it the throne room, to which he was hiding in. Not a second later, did Fanandar the Strong bust through the doors, sword in hand, ready for battle. With no one else around, Valencia stood in front of prince Rodeyval drawing her sword to Fanandar.

The battle was grueling and tough, but her skill in healing managed to save her from massive injury. With each slice, she grew closer and closer to finishing him. Finally, after a long and damaging battle, Valencia managed to stab him through the chest, killing the rebellious leader. She managed to heal herself until others arrived, Fanandar the Strong dead with the prince alive. She was quickly healed by others, and praised for her courage from the royal family.

While the surprise rebellion was deadly, it was far from a war or large uprising. Despite this, Valencia was awarded with the Royal Sword, Royal Shield, and a lifetime to stay in the castle. The blue-eyed young woman couldn't be happier that she helped protect those she cared about.

Not many years later had Valencia decided she wanted to go exploring, and spread kindness and peace throughout Tamriel. Her main target was for Skyrim. She desired to learn more about her Nordic culture that most of her heritage was from. She was given a hearty goodbye, told that she would forever be a Knight of the Rose, before she left for Skyrim.

In time, she managed to learn a few facts about her heritage, and decided to stay in Skyrim for a few more years to learn more. She was also tragically grief-stricken by Skyrim's awful politics and violence, to which she hoped to solve as well. She ended up buying a property in Whiterun, that way her location was central to Skyrim, and her travels would be less drastic. She also began trading with many, as her adventures lead to many items of finding, and Whiterun was the trading central of Skyrim.

For now, she also offers mercenary work, and still considers herself a knight, and trades, to earn money. She still has many riches from her duty in Wayrest. She also volunteers to heal the sick and injured while traveling, never asking for coin in return. Again, her main goal is to spread peace and kindness throughout Tamriel.

Extra: Her blue scarf is from her childhood friend, Rodeyval. He made it himself and gave it to her for saving his life.

I hope so as well! And really, as many as you'd like! Although, for the sake of the others role playing with you and for your own sake, I would avoid more than five at a time. That way you and the others can keep track of who is who, and what he or she may do under different circumstances. :)

I'm coming in strong with 2. One is mercenary traveler, the other a spiritual healer and philosopher. Both with their own intertwining story arc. Hope that's chill!! Who also, is going to be rping the dragonborn? You, Zelda?

That sounds like a perfect idea!
Yes, I will be role playing him only when necessary. This thread will be focused more on the background characters of the Dragonborn's Skyrim tale, and how they shape Skyrim's conflicts with or without Dovahkiin. In major situations (such as large battles, meetings with Daedra or Dragons, etc.) He will be present, to which I will represent him. For most of the time though, he will be traveling, going upon his "justified" duties as Dragonborn. I'll probably make him appear sporadically every special occasion, so that our characters can at least converse with him rather than speaking of him as if he is a mere rumor. I hope that answers your question with a better understanding!

I'm considering! I was thinking of a silver/goldsmith who's got an interest in dragon bones for jewelry, and starts traveling to peddle off her wares and find the Dragonborn. (So she can barter for the bones)

Hart, that sounds like a very interesting character! I would love to see her description!

Of course Keidivh! I would be happy to see such a character.

And here we are, my revamped Breton ex-noble with a bloody thirst for revenge and some sick flute skills.

    Rolard.jpg
    Name: Rolard Seton
Alias: The Prince of Rags, Oathbreaker

    Sex: Male
    Race: Pure Breton
Birth Date: 29th of First Seed
Birth Place: Akaire, Kingdom of Wayrest in High Rock
    Birthsign: The Lord
    Age: 25
    Class: Spellsword
    Laterality: Right handed
    Sexuality: Straight
    Marital status: Single
Family: Father and Mother are minor nobles in the Breton kingdom of Wayrest, both dead. Brother Vaynar and sister Ellia
Family Crest: Steel Blade wreathed in blue flames

    Appearance:
    Height:
    6’2
    Build: lean musculature
    Eyes: Sapphire, glow lightly
    Skin tone: Tan
Hair: Short, well groomed brown hair, shaved on sides, slightly longer on top
    Facial hair: Well groomed stubble
Tattoos: Azure tattoo cuts a swathe across hiss right face
Scars: Rolard has an ugly scar across the right part of his neck, a deadly cut from an Orc Berserker he had fought in Jehanna. He has multiple lacerations across his chest, from strikes that pierced his armor during his patrols and raids, his hands are calloused and rough for a noble, having held a blade as often as he held a quill. Left hand has slight burn marks from his own magic use.

Religion: Highly religious, worships the Bretonic Pantheon (Imperial/Elven)
    Patron Deity: Stendarr
Affiliations: Knights of the Flame (Knighthood has since been removed), East Empire Trading Company, Companions, Relic Hunter for the Mages Guild
Hobbies: Enjoys playing the flute, something taught to him by a traveling bard who visited Akaire
Oddities: Rolards flames are blue instead of the usual color. This has been a trait that has run in the family for many generations
Profession: Sellsword, Relic Hunter, Explorer, inner-Circle member of the Companions

Personality: Rolard was always a friendly type of person, having grown quite sociable during his time as a Knight in High Rock and greatly enjoyed his time with his fellow warriors. This time also turned him into a fierce and proud leader.
Rolard is also a well versed politician, as every Breton noble must be to survive. He has been highly trained in the arts of persuasion, deception, and blackmail. Rolard always despised these underhanded tricks though, preferring honorable confrontation. That was until rival nobles had his parents killed and lands revoked. This made Rolard bitter, and gave him the edge needed to be a ruthless and cunning politician. He will stop at nothing to protect his people, and his house.

    Alignment: Chaotic Good/Lawful Neutral
Good: Kind (Increasingly rare), intelligent, persuasive, cunning, fiercely protective of those close to him, disciplined, unyielding
Bad: Ruthless, underhanded, prideful, vengeful, reckless, one I will reveal in rp
Likes/Loves: Magic, melee, music, talking to others, family, honor, magical relics, reading
Dislikes: Thalmor, Orks, political threats, disrespect, anything he considers a waste of time, indecisivness, weakness, Daedra/Vampires
Fears: Loss of family, loss of respect, the death of his house, vampires
Habits: Commonly plays with the amulet of House Seton which hangs around his neck, plays with a ritual dagger when bored.

Other: While well hidden, Rolard suffers from acute depression. The only time this would ever come through is when Rolard becomes drunk or delirious. If confronted about this after the fact he generally becomes viciously defensive, walling himself off only further.
Rolard is secretly envious of those who are truly honorable and chivalrous. He places a high value on honor, and being known as the Oathbreaker weighs on him more heavily than many would assume.

    Properties: Lakeview Manor

    Voice: Sean Bean, Boromir

Goal: Protect his siblings, ensure the survival of his house and return them to glory

    Gear
    Head
: At nearly all times, whether on or off the battlefield, Rolard wears the Ember crown, and silver band which has three shining sapphire gems embedded in the front. This crown has long been a symbol of House Seton and its rule over Akaire, and most of western Wayrest. Rolard will see it be restored to its former meaning.
    Sapphire crown.png

Armor: Rolard wears interesting armor which he had custom made by a master smith he befriended in Wayrest. It is an ornate set of steel armor, with multiple runes sketched across the trim which glow an azure blue from the enchantment’s he placed upon the set of armor. His armored gloves have similar runes, as well as small spikes on each knuckle, which he uses when melee combat gets particularly brutal. His greaves look about the same, with ornate steel and runes. It is underlaid by arctic wolf fur, around opening in the armor such as the joints and around the neck. His cloak is a similar arctic fur, which is enchanted to protect him against the brutal cold in the regions he patrols.
    Witchplate.jpg
Casual Wear: Despite everything, Rolard still dresses as a noble of High Rock. He wears a grey tunic with dark blue on the siding. His pants are a darker grey. He wears finely crafted leather boots, made to look fashionable but still be functional for travel. During bad weather he wears a heavy arctic fur to protect him from the elements.

Accessories: Seton signet ring, Seton family necklace.

Weapon: In combat Rolard wields his family’s longsword Saphfire, which is a beautiful crafted white ebony blade, which is rumored to have actually been in the family since the first Siege of Orsinium! Taken by their ancestor who slew a powerful Orc commander during the brutal fight for the city. While it is unknown if this is true or not, Rolard still takes great pride in the blade and its legacy. At times during battle, the sword can become wreathed in a blue flame, hence it’s name. He also has a steel dagger, a gift from his little sister to protect him from the “bad men”.
    White ebony sword.jpg

    Skills:
Rolard is an incredibly deadly combatant in close combat. His training with the Knights of the flame have made him a master in swordplay of all kinds, from longswords to daggers. He was put into brutal, intense training regimes by the Orders drill masters. He was taught all the values a knight should aspire to. Honor, respect, piety. Protecting those who were unable to protect themselves, and to always face your foe face to face, in glorious melee combat. This has made him completely ignore practicing with bows of any kind, and would be more likely to injure himself than an enemy.

However Rolard wasn’t trained just to be a knight, but a ruler, and perhaps more importantly, a politician. Whenever he was home from campaigning or patrolling, his father would teach him all of the complexities of court life. How to present yourself with a presence of strength, how to garner respect from his subjects. How to lead men into battle. And perhaps most importantly how to persuade and deceive those who oppose him. This has led him to have a true silver tongue, and a cunning diplomat.

Rolard was also trained in the realm of magic. As a child he had shown magical capabilities, and his parents wanted his to have every advantage possible. So he was trained in the arts of destruction to make him all the more deadly, and illusion to manipulate his opponents and strengthen his allies. With destruction, he showed a strong favoritism towards flames, something which seems to hereditary in his family line.

Enchantment was a hobby Rolard was taught by the Court Mage during his down time. While not a true expert, he is well able to make complex enchantments, which are incredibly reliable. Given a few soul gems Rolard could enchant just about anything.

He also has a few more mundane skills, such as playing the flute! He enjoys playing it for his little sister and brother to keep their spirits up, as well as his own. Naturally as a noble, he is literate, and well versed in horseback riding.

Fighting Style: Rolard has been trained for man years to a master in the art of swordplay and it clearly shows. Rolard seeks to best his opponents through sheer skill, willpower, and unquenchable rage. Still Rolard is a man well versed in tactics, and doesn't just charge headlong into a battle like some berserker. He surveys the battlefield, his opponents, anything to give him an edge. However he never uses stealth or ranged combat. As a Knight of the Flame he was trained to despise such forms of combat as the style of weaklings and coward.
When Rolard engages an enemy he typically will use only his bastard sword, something which can be used with either one or two hands, and is more than capable of besting multiple opponents with such a style. If pressed he will begin using Destruction and Illusion magic to kill and confuse his opponents.
There are times when Rolard loses all sense of tactics and stratagem to his rage, in which case he will abandon sword and spell to beat his enemies to death with his bare hands.

    Weaknesses:
No Healing: While Rolard is skilled in many things, self preservation isn't one of them. He has little to no knowledge of Restoration magic or healing of any sort. It doesn't help that he is reckless in battle, not caring about the wounds he receives, as long as his opponents lie dead by the end of it.
Battle rage: It is rare, but when Rolard loses himself to a battle rage it is a terrible sight to behold as he mindlessly butchers his enemies. This causes him to be even more reckless and often causes him to make foolish decisions. What's worse is that he can often attack his own allies during such blackouts, stopping only when he is knocked unconscious or collapses from exhaustion.

    HISTORY:

Childhood: When Rolard was born to Lord Matthias Seton and Lady Arisa, the first thing they noticed were the icy, glowing eyes of their firstborn. A rare thing to happen, but not unheard of in the Seton family, a sign that this child would accomplish mighty deeds. As the young heir grew they found him to be a gregarious and head strong child, enjoying speaking to any and all who would stop to listen.

Throughout his formative years he was trained by his father, the honorable Lord Matthias Seton, Duke of Akaire and Warden of the West. He was considered and just and wise man, often acting as the King of Wayrest's adviser on matters of state and foreign affairs. Rolard was trained to do the same, his father teaching him on all matters of courtly manners, how to be truly noble.

When he was nearing his tenth year his parents had discovered he had magical talent at a young age when he unleashed a spout of sapphire flames at a wolf who was attempting to attack a farmer while he and a few of his friends went to play in the outskirts of Akaire. After this he was put under the tutelage of the court mage Rellius who would help him to develop his abilities into a useful and deadly tool of trade.

Teenage years: As a teenager Rolard became an impressive and skilled young man. His training at court was going well, and his abilities in magic had developed to a considerable degree, and had even began enchanting alongside Rellius, became a useful apprentice of mage.

It was at this time that his father sent him to the Order of the Flame, a prominent knightly order in Wayrest, and well known throughout High Rock for the protection of its people and it’s work alongside the Imperial Legion. So he became a squire of the knight Tyrael, a devout follower of the divines and Stendarr.

While kind, he was a brutal man, who put Rolard under a ruthless training regime. Under him he became an excellent swordsman, eventually developing to a point where few knights could stand before him. He also spent much time with Tyrael in the temple, offering prayers to Stendarr to gift him with the righteous strength to protect his people.

Still he found time to visit his family, spending time with his still growing brother and baby sister, who he would play the lute for after being trained by a wandering bard who had taken a liking to him. During these visits he spent much time being trained by his father in the more complex areas of diplomacy, leadership and politics. At times he would be sent to Wayrest itself as a representative of his father to talk to the king himself. During one of these visits he took it upon himself to further his family’s power, and began talks with the East Empire Trade Company. After befriending Valerius, one of the managers in Wayrest, he set up a profitable trade deal between them and Akaire, for it’s valuable minerals and lumber.

He had also developed a somewhat scandalous affair with a Nordic courtier that resided in the castle, the beautiful fair skinned Alissa Wolfheart. This was one thing that was highly looked down upon by his family, and Rolard was forced to keep it as secretive as possible, much to his chagrin.

By the age of 18, Rolard had become a full-fledged Knight of the Flame.

Recent History: Rolard spent much of his time campaigning in northern Wayrest, where there were common orc raids on the smaller villages which were often neglected by the Legion. So with his brotherhood, he hunted down raiders and bandits alike, protecting the weak and innocent.

He also became a well known diplomat. During the times when raids would quiet down, he traveled often between Akaire and Wayrest, acting as dignitary to represent his House in the kingdom. It was an idyllic life. A happy life.

Until the day his family was accused of high treason of course. Apparently evidence had arisen that implicated his parents in conspiring with the Kingdom of Evermore to overthrow the rulers of Wayrest. This 'insurrection' was to be put down by none other Lord Blaron, his fathers most powerful bannerman and the Knight of the Flame were to assist.

And Rolard was expected to assist. Approached by his mentor Ser Tyrael, he commanded that Rolard would be the one to execute his parents to prove his loyalty to the crown. He begged for them to be spared, to at least bring them to trial. But such pleas fell on deaf ears. Unwilling to let this stand, Rolard forsook his honor and sacred vows, raising his sword against his brethren and his very own mentor. Wielding his white ebony sword in one hand and sapphire flames in the other, he struck down three of his own before he faced of against Tyrael who wielded a great bastard sword. The duel last for nearly an hour as teacher and student rained down a flurry of vicious blows upon each other. It wasn't until Rolard ignited Saphfire that he managed to gain an upper hand, the super heated blade eventually able to bite deep into Tyrael's plate armor. 'Oathbreaker' were the last words his teacher ever spoke to him before life faded from him.

Having forsaken his order he fleed to Akaire to warn his family of their impending doom. Lord Matthias understood the sacrifice Rolard had made, and assured him that his loyalty would remain always with Wayrest. Which was why he would willingly surrender, knowing full well what he and his wife could expect. But not before passing on the crown of Akaire to his son, commanding him to flee with his siblings. Lord Blaron had been after the title of Akaire for his entire life, and had somehow managed to fabricate documents to incriminate the Seton family. He charged his son with finding the truth, bringing honor back to his family and restoring House Seton to their rightful glory.

Taking his brother and sister Rolard used his contacts with the East Empire Trading Company to bring his family to the port city of Dawnstar. Since their arrival the family had struggled to survive, often staying in inns until their welcome was worn out. Rolard worked tirelessly as a sellsword and explorer to provide for his family, forcing his brother to watch over their baby sister. However word travels quickly, and it didn't take long before many in Skyrim began to know him as Oathbreaker rather than Rolard. Such a reputation made it difficult to find any work, for who would want to hire a man with no honor? So he forged a new reputation through flame and steel, hunting down bandits, exploring lost ruins and caves, completing the jobs before anyone had even asked him, and demanding payment after. A rater unorthodox method, but few would deny payment to a savage Breton with plate armor covered in blood.

While not beloved, the Oathbreaker became known as a man who could complete his job no matter the cost. However his reputation wasn't solidified until he saved the Jarl of Falkreath from a vicious assault by a bandit warlord of Bannermist Tower who attempted to ambush him in the deep wilderness if Falkreath Hold. The warlord cut down the hold guard with disturbing ease, wielding a massive Orsimer battle axe, stopped only when he met Rolard in single combat, white ebony meeting orsinium steel in a vicious clash, each barely stepping out of the others strike. Having to fight off the warlord along with his lackeys, he allowed the warlord to land a powerful strike, cutting though his plate, cutting a deep cut through his left shoulder, but allowed him to close the gap and drive his sword through his neck before his wounds overtook him.

When he next came to he found himself in the hall of the jarl himself. Grateful for his selfless defense, the jarl made Rolard Thane of Falkreath, and granted him his very own land to call his own in the hold, Lakeview Manor.

Having secured an actual home for his kin and a rightly feared name, Rolard looked to settle down and turn his attentions back to High Rock. But with Civil War reaching a breaking point and dragons emerging, he finds his family's new home in danger once more. Unwilling to let this stand, he finds himself now having to fight to save his adopted home.

    Double_sword.jpg
    snake-dagger.jpg

Description: As a principal, Revus prefers speed and skill to strength when it comes to combat. Thus, his favoured weapon is his custom designed double-bladed weapon. If he intends to kill quickly, or is simply not up to making things challenging, he will use his double-bladed weapon in a duel as it is the weapon he is most skilful with and there are few foes familiar enough with the style of combat to effectively defend against the weapon in a one-on-one scenario. Against multiple opponents however, it becomes a different scenario. Despite giving Revus a distinctive advantage against a single adversary, his weapon becomes difficult to use and nigh straight-up impractical against multiple adversaries. However, he has been training many years with the weapon and has concocted defensive techniques to counter this weakness, mostly consisting of around-the-body-flurries and parries in order to disorientate his enemies and either whittle their guard down gradually using this or flurry close to them and quickly slash to finish one of them while they're off-balance. Alternatively, if he is intending to give himself more of a challenge or is unable to use his preferred weapon, he will use his family dagger which he keeps concealed on his person at all times. He will only use this as a last resort and will aim to kill very quickly, targeting vital or exposed areas, making sure to get inside the reach of his opponent's weapon or by parrying and following with an attack. Finally, Revus is an expert martial artist, having trained since he was a mere child and is a very capable boxer as well as having sufficient knowledge of grappling, choke holds and simple but effective defences against general strikes. His knowledge also extends to hand-to-weapon fighting, being capable of taking on opponents of moderate skill while disarmed or without-weapon and defeating them; albeit with a great degree of difficulty. His strength and speed is augmented by his vampirism, which is what largely allows for this athletic style to work.

Lastly, while having some magical talent, he only ever uses it to augment his physical prowess or for his vampiric tendencies.

Weaknesses: Intense vulnerability to fire; unable to use magic, physically recover himself, heal and is notably weaker, slower and drained while exposed to direct sunlight; little to no skill in restorative and destructive magics; likes to show off and take unnecessary risks

    Biography:

Revus was born into a Breton family based in Skingrad that had become very wealthy since the Oblivion Crisis, seizing the opportunities that were presented in the chaos. However, when Revus was a mere two years old, his family decided that they were going to leave Cyrodiil and move to Whiterun in Skyrim as they deemed Cyrodiil to be too directly influenced by the Thalmor and could not shake the horrors of the Great War from their minds. Thus, they moved to Skyrim and settled into a house in Whiterun known as Breezehome.

They soon became prominent members of Whiterun's society and respect grew for the Sailaron family. It was becoming readily apparent that Revus would have a lot to live up to, and so a fair amount of pressure was applied to him at an early age. These would of course be expectations he not only met but also exceeded, and he proved that even as a child he had both martial and intellectual prowess. He impressed the citizens of Whiterun so much that at the age of nine, the jarl's wizard, Farengar Secret-Fire, agreed to tutor him not in the arcane but in the archaic, and therefore taught him history and philosophy. Following this he had always had a fascination with history and artefacts, actively collecting them when he could. Additionally, around this time the Companions also took Revus under their wing and taught him the arts of battle. His greatest aptitude was in basic hand-to-hand martial arts and staff fighting, the latter of which he would later adapt into his own fighting system.

Until the age of fourteen Revus would continue his studies under Farengar and his training under the Companions without anything of great importance happening. One day his mother and he received news that his father (A respected scholar) and his younger brother and sister had been killed by a bandit leader who used to be a teacher of Destruction magic at the College of Winterhold while investigating a newly unearthed ruin. Though Revus had never been too close with his father, nor had he respected him an incredible amount due to their ideological and moral differences, their losses still greatly saddened him and he vowed that one day he would go to the ruin and challenge his father's killer to single-combat. The same year, during a conversation with the Harbinger of the Companions, he asked why he couldn't stab or slash with both sides of a sword and questioned the possibility of having a bladed weapon similar in design to a quarterstaff. So he designed a weapon that consisted of a single large hilt with a blade at either end to be wielded like a Bo or quarterstaff and presented it to the Companions. Impressed, they had Jorlund Grey-Mane, worker of the Skyforge, forge the weapon for Revus. Revus then took it to Farengar, who enchanted the weapon with runes that made the blade feel lighter to wield, allowing for greater speed and strength of strike.

All through his life however, he had always felt like no one had ever liked him as a person, and very little compassion was ever shown to him. Even after his father died, the most he received was a pat on the back and an "I'm sorry for your loss" from his teachers who seemed to regard him more as a project than a person. Things also seemed to be progressively worse for him, as he only got on with a very small minority of the children, most of whom teased him for his skills. Due to this, he began to hate people more and more, becoming more introverted which eventually resulted in his narcissism, lack of compassion and empathy and his hatred of people, as he believed that they merely feared his intelligence. Of course, he acknowledged that certain persons were tolerable, and didn't hate every single person, per se; though he did hate most people and people as a collective.

By the age of seventeen he had finished his education and his mother had passed away, and the family fortune passed to him. He decided that he wouldn't stay in Whiterun and sold all of the furniture in Breezehome and bought a set of leather armour and took the family heirloom dagger for himself, despite his limited knowledge of the weapon. He then decided that he would become a mercenary and also an amateur scholar by investigating and charting the places he was sent to. Then one day he stumbled across a contract too perfect to miss: to deal with the bandit clan that killed his father and siblings. He accepted and travelled to the ruin, cleaving his way through the bandits who were ultimately overwhelmed by surprise, his weapon and unfamiliar style of fighting until he reached their leader.

Their leader was clad in a dark, ornate set of ebony armour and wielded an ebony sword in one hand while keeping the other open for some form of magic. His eyes were a molten gold. Either side of him were too beautiful, dark haired women with the same burning look in their eyes, only nuanced, more entrancing. The first few days were a blur, all he could remember was waking up briefly to the see the same women in front of him as he slumped against the cave walls. The days after that he, though still foggy in his mind, was more aware of some memories. He remembered feeling pains in his neck, a cage door and the beautiful women naked beside him. Then, after what he estimated to be little under two weeks, he came to.

He looked around, observing his cell, a small cutaway of a cave with a cell door crudely installed by his captors. He noted that all was silent and that his armour and weaponry were racked outside the cage. Beside him were some rags left for him to preserve what little modesty he could muster. He put them on and observed the cage, beginning to try to pick the lock before dropping to the ground in pain. Before he passed out again, all he could remember thinking was that there was something in him.

Three days passed without memory, Revus observed his body and realised that this time he had been left untouched. Strangely he felt nothing but a thirst. Then the two women came around the corner and noticed in delight he was awake as they exchanged relief, having believed that their thrall had died. Upon entering the cage, they looked him in the eyes and instructed him to lie down and take off the rags. Though still beautiful, they no longer had the same effect on him they did before, but he played along anyway. They both disrobed and laid by him, and as they went to bite his neck he pulled their skulls in to the rocky ground before kicking one of them further, killing her. He rushed out the room and grabbed his dagger just in time to see the remaining girl approaching him seductively. Though she tried to enthrall him again, he appeared immune as he stabbed the dagger through her heart unexpectedly.

Observing the blood, it dawned on him why he was immune to their charms and what had happened as an unquenchable thirst manifested in him. He had become a vampire. He drank them until they were dry and took a moment to recover and calm himself before reclaiming his equipment and exiting the area. He heard the leader summon for the girls to return to him but instead it was Revus who answered the call.

Revus, unable to resist dramatising the ordeal, commented on how the girls weren’t feeling too good and sent him instead before verbally challenging the vampire chief and giving a mock salute with his weapon before finally engaging in the duel he had waited so long for. The two warriors circled each other for a time, sizing each other up until finally Revus' tentative approach to the fight would scar him forever as his opponent unleashed a torrent of flames without warning which hit Sailaron across the torso, burning straight through his armour and into his skin. Knowing there was only one way that he could survive this due to his bodies new vulnerability to fire, he did what his opponent certainly wasn't expecting. He charged into the flame and slashed towards the vampire, who quickly called off the spell in order to raise his sword to block the blow. Revus then followed with an onslaught of strikes which the chief was struggling to deflect until attempting to track both blades proved too overwhelming and he went to block to one side as Revus span around and slashed at the other, slicing open his neck. He stumbled but before he could fall, Revus embraced him as a creature of the night, savouring every ounce of his life.

Following this, Revus became famous for ridding the area of bandits, never letting loose the dark secret of the camp or his new nature. He never shunned the curse, embracing the abilities it gave him, and thus he dedicated his life as a scholar of vampirism under the guise of a hunter, looking to further his power as much as he could, roaming Tamriel as a mercenary, philosopher and scholar with a thirst for slightly more than knowledge.

Both of your characters are absolutely stunning! I can see them becoming quickly acquainted. I love the amount of detail and thought the two of you have put forth for your characters.

I will be posting the actual thread momentarily for the role play so that we may begin. As more people join this thread and move on to the next, I will be creating more characters so that everyone's characters has someone to interact with. Skyrim is a massive land, so not everything has to happen in the same setting, and with characters spread out, that is room for more adventures!

I updated the top post which now has a link the role play. Enjoy and have fun!

    Orientation: Homosexual

    Birthsign: The Lord

    Appearance:
    m8BpI7P.jpg
    , his husband Alvor
    AfBeymC.jpg

Armor and weapons: Erik generally wears armor that is chainmail underneath a set of leather armor(Northguard Ranger armor mod). He carries a longbow as well as a longsword, shield, and handaxe all made of steel.

Clothing: Erik's clothing is very basic. He wears a gray leather tunic with a brown jerkin underneath it, as well as brown breeches and fur-lined boots. He also wears a blue cloak, and in the thick of winter, a fur cloak made from the skin of a wolf. When in combat, he wears a leater/chainmail armor set(Northguard Ranger).

Home: Originally from Rorikstead, lives in Riverwood with his husband Alvor near a priory

History: Erik grew up in Rorikstead, the son of a merchant and a farmer. His life was a peaceful one, at least until the house burned down. He was serving as a city guardsman when he smelled smoke thick in the air. He turned around to find that it was his house burning. He raced inside to try and find any survivors, but it was too late. The bodies were all charred. Erik soon became very scared, racing out of the house and helping put out the fire. He then left Rorikstead, running into a priory near Riverwood. A young priest there named Alvor would take in the young man, helping him cope with his losses in a way that didn't involve alcohol. The two would join city guard once again in Riverwood and are trying to start a family.

Strengths and Skills: Archery, One-Handed Weapons, Smithing, Diplomacy, Intimidation, Light Armor

Weaknesses: alcoholism, though less of an issue now than it was when Erik left Rorikstead

    Name: Ihylin Sweetwater

    Nickname: To be determined

    Birthsign: Steed

    Gender: Female

    Age: 23

    Weight: 160 lbs

    Height: 5'7"

    Race: 1/4 Imperial, 3/4 Nord

    Sexuality: Heterosexual

    Laterality: Ambidextrous

    APPEARANCE

    Skin: Olive-toned

    Eye Color: Hazel

    Hair Color: Auburn

Style/Length: Runs to mid-back, straight from scalp down and ends in messy curls. Usually pulled up, so true length is not often seen.

Build: Stocky, muscularity that is often common in Nord working class, but still fairly feminine.

Scars: A nasty, massive burn scar that mutilated her right side, going from hip to mid rib. Other various nicks and small burns adorn her hands from her profession.

    Piercings
    : Ears, double pierced.

    3b504cbdca631fc78db6893a75cd2282.jpg

    APPAREL

Constant: A light blue dress with leather laces in the back. It looks faded, but taken care of as if it were valued greatly. Fine leather bracers are also part of her common wear, to hide burns and callouses on her hands, as well as a pair of tanned leather boots. When traveling, a pair of trousers will hide under the dress to prevent chafing on long walks.

Casual: Normally the same blue dress, or any variety of hand made dresses sent to her by her sister in the Imperial City.

Merchant/Work Wear: Ihylin normally dresses up when she goes to sell her wares; a lady merchant selling jewelry should always look as good as her handiwork is. She'll be dressed in fine clothing, wearing a few of her best pieces of work, and wearing a sharp looking cloak. Working, however, she tends to level with comfort in a typical blacksmith's apron and long dress.

    GEAR

Weapon: A sharpened bone dagger inlaid with ashen carvings, given to her by a friend, many years ago.

Magic: Healing, mostly to take care of a minor pesky burn.

Other: Imperial's Guide to Blacksmithing, 3rd Edition, various other books, lockpicks, food, a heavy backpack, and wares to peddle off.

    PERSONALITY AND VOICE

Personality: Ihylin is almost a night and day when it comes down to business and her free time. A bubbly, bright figure when the prospect of exchanging goods and gold comes around, she's very vibrant and outgoing, and especially charismatic. But in her down time, she's more reserved, and spends much of her time studying techniques in the various literature she carries around. However, when her nose isn't stuck in a book, she's fairly kind, peppered with sassy attitude and sarcasm than can sometimes get her in trouble by saying the wrong thing. From this, she's learned it's best not to talk sometimes.

Fighting Style: None present, currently. If she has to defend herself, it's a "fight for your life" scenario, and she is not afraid to fight savagely to walk away mostly unharmed.

    Habits:
-Mild fiddling. Working with her hands has left her with a need to constantly move. This is resolved by twisting whatever particular ring or touching whatever necklace she has on.
-Taking notes. This includes sketching, though crude. Helps with the fiddling often.
-Completely zoning out and starting into a fire or off into the distance
-Issues with personal space. Ihylin likes looking at jewelry from other craftsmen to see if she can learn from it, so she unconsciously gets close to people to inspect anything they might be wearing
-Singing to herself while traveling, or doing it absent mindedly. She picks up songs quickly from bards or other people, and likes making up little tunes of her own.

Voice: Martina Lotun (Voice of Mjoll, less heavy on the accent)

    Likes:
-Fine cut gems, pure quality precious metals.
    -Flower crowns
    -Good, hearty food
    -Fire salts
    -Aurora Borealis, specifically over Solitude
    -Khajiit caravans
    -Snow

    Dislikes:
    -Getting a poor deal
    -Overconfident men
    -Horker meat
-Thieves Guild, bandits, people who have tried stealing her works
    -Hagravens
    -Getting excessively dirty

    MISC

    Property: Proudspire Manor

Religious Affiliations: Kyne, Dibella, Mara, Zenithar, and Talos (secretly)

Quirks: Despite her larger build, Ihylin is actually very sneaky due to some less than optimal ways of acquiring gems. In this case, creeping through a draugr tomb alone to swipe precious stones. Also, due to her burn scar, she favors her left side, though it is hardly noticeable unless one had an attentive eye. She also tends to be a friendly drunk, flirting with everyone, be it man or woman.

    Profession: Primarily a silversmith

    HISTORY:
Ihylin was born in Dawnstar to her Tyren and Yunim Sweetwater, revered silversmiths in the Imperial City. He father thought it best she learn from a young age, and began to teach her to smith around the age of 6, mostly making her responsible for small items that were easily improved. She learned quickly, and forged a dagger from scraps left from Tyren's previous workings. Ihylin peddled the very same dagger of the next day for high worth, and noticing she had a tenacity for a merchant's skill, Yunim began to teach her the ways of speech and bargaining.

A headstrong child, Ihylin tagged along with her family when they traveled to make custom orders, and being who she was, sought to befriend all who she met. At the age of 10, the girl had learned her craft a considerable amount for being so young, but had a habit of working herself ragged to finish jobs quickly. Exhausted from working on a young noble's decorative sword, she tripped over her feet into the dying coals of her fires, receiving the heavy scarring that marred her side.

Regardless of her injuries, she pushed herself, and found a love for jewelry, twisting bands of cooling metal around gems to create masterpieces. Or, at least she thought so at the time. Ihylin promised to get better at her craft, still accompanying her father to traveling calls, despite having not yet fully healed from her burns. During their travels to High Rock, the girl picked up a spell book for healing, looking to do nothing more but occupy her time, but she found herself startled when it disappeared as she flipped through the last pages.

Though she didn't possess much skill, the young silversmith amazed herself as the warm healing glow stitched closed the still open parts of her wound, pain fading as the cart bumped along the road. Her family embraced what little magic she had, but sadly, the attempts at learning enchanting failed miserably.

The remaining time in her life was a simple one, traveling to work and expand her trade. As she grew older, her sister, three years younger, had apparently inherited more of the magical skill than she had, becoming an impressive enchanter. Though jealous, she praised her sister's gift, and they worked together for some time before their father's death.

Tyren had left Proudspire Manor to Ihylin, knowing she had a greater tenacity to leave Cyrodiil than her sister. And he was right. A few month after he passed, she took money she had been saving for years and purchased the iconic caravan that she still has, setting off to Skyrim to try her hand at more traditional styles she had seen on traveling passerbys.

News of the Dragonborn had piqued her interest, giving her a new material to work with: Dragon's bones. Since settling in Skyrim, she had made a name for herself up North, and eventually through all the holds. Ihylin would stop at nothing to find the Dragonborn, but the Civil War had certainly slowed her progress. A merchant will always be a merchant, and she continued with her life, and her newfound quest.
