I very rarely activate any stones besides one of the Guardian stones you find at the beginning of the game after escaping from Helgen, but I've recently started playing a necromancer and decided to use the Ritual Stone for animating nearby corpses.

I tested it's power on the bodies scattered near the shrine of Talos on the side of the road to Falkreath, and started walking along with a band of worshippers and a thalmor wizard, and they all ganged up on a bear and some wolves and bandits that I met along the way. I did not realise that once the power wears off, the corpses only collapse, they don't disintegrate, and so can be reanimated again if need be.

The second time I used the ritual stone's power was in the cave underneath Pinewatch, in the room with a group of draugr that the bandits killed when they took over. I reanimated all the draugr and set them against Rigel Strong-arm. She's a tough bitch and chopped the draugr down quite quickly, but their combined efforts took out a good chunk of her health bar, and my housecarl Rayya finished her off with her duel scimitars.

Has anyone else found some fun and interesting ways to use the Ritual Stone's power?

I'm surprised that this is your first time using it.

But, if you get the Aetherial Crown, you can put the Ritual Stone's power into the crown, and then when you use the power, simply unequip and then reequip the crown, and you'll get a new charge for the power. Lets you grow an army at a staggering rate.

Yeah I am a latecomer to the whole necromancy thing. Most of my characters have been goody little two-shoes who think playing with dead bodies is disgusting, and I've always used human followers to help me through dungeons and stuff any way. It's been a long time since I've decided to go for a darker themed character.

Unfortunately I can't use the Aetherium crown because I've removed Dawnguard. It's a shame because I did enjoy the Aetherium quest and I liked Katria and the female falmer enemies. I just hate the Volkihar vampires and Serana. I don't suppose the PS4 version lets me pick and choose which items from DLC to keep?

The vampire attacks probably wouldn't bother me on this particular character, because I'm just aiming to increase her power, not becoming attached to any particular NPCs. But the vamp attacks do irritate me with my other characters.

I really would like it if I could just keep the Aetherium quest, falmer and chaurus updates, and the ability to craft arrows and use ferries to transport between docks. All the other bits can bugger off. If I find out its possible to play that way on the remaster, I might just fork out for a PS4.

Oh yeah, there is a mod that disables Vampire attacks. I have it on my xbox one, I assume you can get it for PS4 as it doesn't really add external assets. There are mods that allow crossbow crafting outside the Dawnguard, so you can get them right out of helgen. Or in my case with alternate start, right out of character creation. Sony's limitation on mods is pretty crap from what I hear though.
