I didn't have time to run the numbers carefully but I think your effective Alchemy skill is too low to break the 9% barrier. The short explanation of why is that the mechanics of Alchemy are such that, with a base Alchemy skill of 62 and no Alchemy perks, a 28% boost to your Fortify Alchemy enchantments is not going to yield an effective Alchemy skill capable of producing any greater result than the 23% boost in terms of the resulting Fortify Alchemy enchantment strength. If the formula applies fractional amounts in the background, repeating the process may eventually yield 10% equipment but the process is going to be painfully slow and end up using a lot of your ingredients. If you don't want to invest perk points in Alchemy I would recommend holding off on trying this until you level your Alchemy skill to 100.

is there anyway to do this with no perks in alchemy?

I've tried it and my gear starts at 8% alchemy and i drink, unequip, reequip, brew, repeat and whatnot and it won't go any higher then 9%

I have 62 alchemy and 65 enchanting but i was hoping not to have to waste any perks on alchemy

is there a way? or am i just doing something wrong?
I know it doesnt seem like a good idea to spend perks on alchemy but trust me its definetly worth it. The potions you make are extremely powerful and extremely helpful when it comes to combat overall leveling up and financially beneficial as they can be sold for a high profit. Fill the first 5 perks in your alchemy tree and thats all you need. I would also definetly have as many pieces of equipment with fortify alchemy as possible (helmet, bracers, necklace and ring). They dont need to be a super high % ( mine are around 16%) but the higher they are, the less ingredients you will need. The glitch still works for me but I am on PS3.

it worked for me and here is how:

before i start:

WHAT U NEED

alchemy over 50+ ( i think 65) with first perk 3/5
enchanting over 50+ with first perk also 3/5

A- i had ingredients for (20) fortify restoration potions.
B- i had ingredients for (1) fortify enchanting potion. ( bring more if u need )

C- a mask called (KROSIS).
D- two items (already) enchanted with fortify alchemy.
E- an item ( a ring could do) for enchanting.

here i would recommand storing anything else u don't need, so it doesn't get in your way.

now to the process itself:

1- wear all the items we talked about it.

2- go to alchemy table.

3- enter and make one fortify restoration potion.

4- get out.

5- enter items menu.

6-drink the potion AND DO NOT GET OUT OF ITEMS MENU !!!! but press "left button" and go streight to Apperal menu and (remove items) and (put it on again).

7- get out of menu.

**** now if items already enchanted with fortify alchemy didn't go up on power then something is wrong, **** no need for other potion, try to get the needed skills up and perks.
**** mine went from 11% to 19% to 26% until 130% then it goes FAST until u reach insane number.

If it did then repeat from step 2 til 7 (20 times)

after drinking the 20th potion, make a fortify enchanting potion.

go to enchanting table, drink potion, enter table and enchant an item whatever u want !!

i point that u will fail n the first time, just make sure you SAVE after you gather what you need, and load back if you fail and start again until you get it.

i hope this help someone.

so i have alchemy 75% and a ring, circlet, and necklace at 22% increase in alchemy, i have 4 points in the 20% boost in alchemy and i have up to benefactor, i make my potions of restoration and it pumps my alchemy into ridiculous levels! but then i go to make the enchanting and smithing potions and they are all between 1 and 4%, if anyone still monitors this page i would love some help!

Interesting. You're obviously using the Fortify Restoration potion exploit and you're the second person to post this problem in the past month. Try making potions without any Fortify Alchemy gear equipped and let me know what the percentages of the potions are.

i read through this post and came to the conclusion that the boost was too high and made the exploit cancel itself out, bassically making 10 restoration potions was too many, i only needed about 7, i solved the problem myself

So this is my first post on these forums. I decided to join because all of the other forums I go to either don't like Skyrim (Gmod/CS:S forum), or are too big and my thread disappears (Escapist).

So I found this exploit about a week ago, and promptly used it to create a wicked sword named Stringsplitter.
The damage only shows three digits, look at the damage down by the carry weight and health.

So a few days ago I made a tutorial on how to perform such overpowered acts with relative ease.
The kicker: you don't need any stats at 100, the materials you need are cheap or easy to find, and the grotesque improvements and enchantments can be placed on any item.
Think about that last one for a moment. Theoretically, you could have an iron dagger that does more damage than any other weapon in the game. And an iron helmet that maxes out your 567 armor.

Other Items I've created:
Amulet: "I'm not even winded!" - Boost stamina regeneration and carry weight to such a point that I could carry everything I every found, while sprinting almost constantly.
Ring: "I am ze Ubermensch!" - Boosts health and health regeneration so high that nothing can even scratch me.

I hope this exploit gets patched, and the easiest way to to make people aware of it.

I had performed the fortify restoration glitch perfectly, and it worked on everything i used it on. except, my armor, which for some reason stayed the exact same even though its armor rating read over 58 MILLION. anyone know why it wouldn't work

Works like a charm with my old version on Sony PS3! It does take a long time to grind out but now I have restoration potions 31000x and fortify smith 900-3000x and fortify enchant as well. Made some awesome gear that now lets me one shot most guys. Have to test on hard bosses like Dragon Priests and Dwarven Centurions. Nothing like having 9000 extra fortify health on my buffed glass armor.

Still works on XBX1, but strangely I have to put on my Alchemy Gear twice to get it going when I start making potions after completing the Glitch series procedure. Not a problem, but had me wondering the first time I tried it out, LOL.

Yeah I had to put on and take off the fortify alchemy gear to get it to work as well. I just made a fortify smith potions with 40000 buff and fortify enchant potion 60000 that did wonders. Now my buffed Hevnorak dragon priest mask has armor rating of over 2 million! Figure I am poison, disease and magic resistant and pretty much unstoppable. I do have to be careful riding Shadowmere over cliffs as he cannot take much damage from falls without dying. I can leap off super high cliffs and not die now which is fun.
