I have no gear,i never gave it up. How do i kill the guards with just a dagger & an axe?I searched the chest = empty.

yeah, the same thing happened to me too...unfortunately i opted out of the conversation before selecting any items (intending to return to that quest later) and found myself with no weapons and armour...IT WAS AWESOME!!! best part of the game for me...panic, mixed with so much "OMG i hope they don't see me"...had to end up stealthing my way to an upstairs room where there were 2 elven daggers locked in a glass showcase. I was so relieved to find those and ended up killing 1 guard through that quest (which was a cut-throat cinematic...the first one for me). Fortunately for me I was playing as a rouge so my sneak was reasonably high and the dagger multiplier perk were there. Hopefully you're not a clunky character (heavy everything) or you'll be practising alot of kiting and hiding. Good luck man.

Yeah samething here... It took me two hours before kiling one of the gurads here what you need to do:
Go upstairs of thalmor embassy "Ellen solar "one girl guard on duty on roving use your " battle cry" magic then he run from you for 30 seconds follow her kill her with your" fire power" magic. Make sure to take health fusion if your health is down And continue attacking her with your fire magic. She'l be dead.
....
After you killed her loot every thing you can use from her...

This is why leveling destruction for the first ~15 levels doesn't hurt

Found myself in a similar situation in the embassy. My fault for clicking through the conversation with the bartender earlier to be able to store my weapons. Anyway I was weaponless as well and lowered the difficulty setting as low as it would go and still couldn't survive. However I did decide to reload a previous save where I am first walking into the embassy. Instead of joining the party right away I turned right back out of the embassy out of desperation and was contemplating how to escape. The guard tells you that all guests need to go inside but I noticed my traveling companion was there with me. I clicked on her and asked to trade equipment. Luckily she had a steel sword so took it from her and returned into the party to start the quest. Surprisingly no one noticed the sword but I kept it unequipped until after I created the distraction and started making my way to the kitchen. I still did not have any armor but having the steel sword and healing myself with magic during the first encounter allowed me to defeat the first 2 guards and wizard. Obviously you want to take their equipment and hack your way through the rest of this annoying mission that took me way too long to get through. I hope this saves you time but more importantly keeps you from thinking you need to restart this game.

I didn't use any magic, I did use a bunch of sneak. Got past all the guards and the wizard, then outside and pickpocked a bow and some arrows from a guard. Slaughtered the rest of the way, even got a
"...Stone...". Good luck, then damn bartender never does the weapons availability thing.

I got stuck in there accidentally didn't take stuff with me, here's how I got out
First of all I was in the place where I couldn't backtrack then I killed a guard in one of the quarters using destruction spell at level 15.
I then 1 by one fished out the guards out of the inner courtyard, entered whatever that place was I didn't visit went inside killed the guards with the gear i got from killing the other guards, i had to fish them out 1 by 1 too, then i escaped through the trap door with the key and whirlwind sprinted and run through the frost troll, exited the cave ,and boom i was free fast travel to riverun the sleeping giants inn and you got you stuff back , Hope This Helps
