With no scripts, why would the PS4 even need 50MB? Using internal assets only requires a tiny bit of space. If they have a 1GB limit, maybe they have plans to expand the mods to include external files?

I doubt it. 1 GB would be too small for external mods, which is why Xbox allows 5 GB.

I figured they'd stick with the 900mb figure they quoted before. You could have 500 PS4 "Mods" and not fill it up.... that's if anyone even bothers to port any over for the PS4.

No external mods. Internal resources only. That's the way it is.

Funny, I just read an article complaining about that and the entire complaint was because that wouldn't allow for "cheat" mods (infinite ammo, infinite health, etc...).

I can understand why Sony doesn't want people to have free access to manipulate their proprietary systems and data on a whim.

Just give it time. At least we'll get something. All I want is more hairstyles and appearance customization. That's all I need. Don't need anything else. I don't exploit or cheat (although I have been known to grind!).

Yeah, i'd like the appearance stuff, as well as different armors. I don't care about flying trains and super cheats. Well, i STILL would like to have cussing crabs in tophats. lol

I fully agree more character customization and some retextures is all I want nothing serious I would have also liked something to add some sort of realism they might be able to do something about food drink sleep and diseases since those are kinda all in the game already

I agree re the food/sleep/disease thing. I don't want it to be as extensive as Fallout 4's Survival mode, of course, but, perhaps ramping up the disease effects until cured and recoding food & sleep to the disease matrix if you go too long w/out them (excepting, of course Were's and Vamps which don't really need either one of them.

Yeah, i can remember running around for days and then going and checking my current effects and saying "Oh! I'm poisoned!" lol, never really affects you.

Bug fix mods are all I want if they are not fixed in Skyrim SE. I have no interest in Iron Man, trains or any other unnatural things in the Skyrim environment.

I am wondering if it is worth buying an Xbox One S and Skyrim SE over getting it for my PS4? Even the unofficial Skyrim patch won't work on the PS4.

idk man I'm straight PS so I can't say which will be better it does suck that no unofficial patches to skyrim but that doesn't mean the gamers wont find a way to tweak code better with what we have in natural skyrim I'm excited to fnid out what the pros can do

Unofficial skyrim patch author has stated he will not port it to PS4, because it does use a few external assets to fix things.

like I said we can't have the true form of it but perhaps another mod person will try a ps4 version using the internal assets it's a shame sony is so tightfisted but at last they are giving a cave in somewhere hopefully it leads to more

Like I said. I really don't blame them for their paranoia at this point. They've had a number of major hacks and some serious issues with their proprietary software in the last few years, plus, they're Japanese.

Only in the US do we insist that our entire existences be a completely open book that is accessible to anyone at anytime. MS is renown for this. If it is anywhere on any system that has MS, it is accessible to anyone that has the technical know-how. The same is true for Google and any other number of other "cloud" based servers.

As someone who works in IT, I can tell you right now, that, nothing you put on the web or that is attached to the web is secure. Nothing.

It is just a fact of life.

Sony is paranoid. With good reason.

very true Daelon it's just sad to see that people have to cause this distrust and ruin it for everyone else Sony is paranoid but that makes them more careful and better in the long run Idk how many different people I talk to who have said their Microsoft account stuff has been hacked over and over no matter how much they change their information I have been hacked the first day I set up an account and I wasn't even online whereas on Sony I have never been hacked yet so yea Sony is paranoid but careful so good in that way but it effects over all quality of certain goods in the long run so its a give and take relationship we just have to make the best of what they allow us to access :D Idc how paranoid sony will get I am in their corner till the end ^_^

Interesting Youtube video explaining that a new Creation Kit is coming out, which may include access to "added" internal assets that Bethesda may put in the game.

So that is why there are no PS4 mods right now.
