Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well.

So I'm hoping to restart a Let's Play series I was doing with Skyrim, but I know I need a better machine to play the game and record what I'm doing. Since one of the reasons I stopped making videos was the game would crash constantly during recordings. And I was curious what you guys would suggest to do both adequately.

I'm hoping to purchase the whole package in one, since I sadly do not have the skills to put one together myself. And I'm debating whether to get a laptop, or a desktop (though I'm leaning more to desktop at the moment.)

What are your suggestions?

would recommend you build your own ............you know those Kidd games where the star shape will only fit the star cut out, the circle shape in the circle cut out and so on, that's how easy its to build a computer......everything can go into one place....getting the wiring done can be a bit of a task but there are hundreds of videos online to help you make it so easy.

go with the Desktop ...........more power compared to a laptop plus you can upgrade hardware to have the latest requirements to run heavy graphics games

I have made over 100 videos using a desktop PC
I capture what I see on screen with no frame loss whats so ever & am planing a major upgrade now read this thread for PC Rig Specs

I was thinking of getting a desktop to handle the task. Since I was told laptop graphic cards cannot be upgraded (which is kinda crappy, but that probably shows my inexperience in computers.)

My only hesitation with building my own machine is...well...I'm kinda bad at that stuff. I'm pretty much that guy who takes something apart and winds up putting it back together with spare parts. But I figured I could get a machine to start off and once the channel, or my other job, allows for it, I could add more hardware to make the videos better quality.

I appreciate the help, it's nice to get a better idea what I need to do.

5 years ago this one bought her first PC ..........it was a mid range package

ever since she made the mistake of taking the cove off and looking inside, she first upgraded ram......so easy ..........then installed a new video card .......took the old one out put the new one in its place ..... then this one got cocky and installed a water cooler........its only when this one upgraded her case & she had to take every thing out of the old case and put it into the new did she realize how easy PC building is

BEST IDEA find your self a good package PC............get a good keyboard & gaming mouse
after that you can always open it up and have a peak inside

good luck with everything and love to watch one of your videos one day
