Hochmeister Dradin looked solemnly across the plain. The last shreds of twilight lingered in the sky, a final bastion of the day before the field would be plunged into the night. Whisps of cloud skirted past in the air, hinting at a possible storm coming to batter the Thorny Cities of the Order...
The Hochmeister turned away, his heavy mail clattering with the sudden shift of movement. Now to his gaze lay the great fortress of Bourgogne. The ancient structure defended the Reachmen from incursions in the past. Even now, a modern era of unprecedented technology, it's thick walls and magnificent towers seemed to be an intimidating sight for any invader. Upon each of the five towers lay a majestic pyre, with glowed with an almost magical quality, brightening the castle from the coming night. Scraps of fluttering paper sometime escaped the pyre, and zipped across the air like witches upon a broomstick.
The Knights of the Briar stood against heresy for hundreds of years. From Saracens, to Pagans, to Imperialists, the Knights always remained stalwart fortresses of faith, and the shield of the Sea Sponge. And when the villainous Fluffboi stood against the beliefs of the Knights, let it be known that the Thorn stood tall.

Fortress Bourgogne stood at the edge of the man-made march just outside the realm of Knights of the Briar. It was a slight departure from the star forts typically created at the time it was built, in that within the structure stood five stalwart towers - one for each point of the fort. This allows for complete access to 360 degrees, and therefore the fort can serve as both an obstruction for armies invading the Holy Order's land, and can serve as a final spot of defense in case the Thorny cities do fall...
Fortress Bourgogne is also unique in that it remains useful in a modern war. Underneath the fort exists a large network of tunnels, which allows for quick transportation underneath the surrounding area. This becomes of vital importance one realizes that underneath the small hills found on the battlefield, there are military bunkers with the ability to fire out on incoming soldiers and are able to retaliate with low-yield artillery strikes.
With this, the religious elite of the Knights hoped to halt the invading soldiers of the Fluffboi, and be able to push forward in the War of the Harry Potter Ban.
