In my opinion, Valenwood or the Black Marsh. I mean, these two places are the most interesting of all provinces in Skyrim, with deep lore and a massive collection of fascinating flora and fauna species. Also, these two places have very different aesthetic appeal as compared to the other provinces, with a very very unique and previously almost completely unexplored locations and environment (If you don't consider ESO as canon). Also experiencing the Bosmer and the Argonians in their natural habitat would, in my humble opinion, make a damn fine premise for epic storytelling! :coffee:

I find it hard to disagree with any of this. But my preference would probably be Valenwood. Although a game set in Blackmarsh would be really interesting, I can't help but feel the novelty of it might wear off soon enough. I mean, a TES game set entirely in jungle/marshland doesn't seem quite...right. Also the Argonians kind of piss me off and I'd imagine it would be rather trying to be surrounded by loads of them!

It has to be Valenwood. The new foliage system they implemented in the Creation engine would allow for that sort of density when it comes to trees, not to mention that locations such as Elden Root would be absolutely fantastic. Imagine being able to climb up trees in game and see, far in the distance, the huge Bosmer capital of Elden Root. It would be incredible.

I'd like for the sequel to cover the fight against the Dominion, so I'd prefer it taking place in the Summerset Isles. It'd also be a good excuse to revamp the magic system. Alternatively, the sequel could involve breaking their hold on Valenwood and/or Elswyer.

I hope that TES VI will take place either in Elsweyr or Black Marsh. It's finally time to visit a place where elves or humans aren't the dominant races and beast races are in full control. It will be really interesting learning about the Khajiit or Argonian cultures from a place where they aren't used as slaves or being constantly oppressed.

I would really love it, since they are taking their time with the next game, to be an expansive map that encompasses at least two of the regions in Tamriel. Skyrim and Cyrodil, Morrowind and Elsweyr. it would really set the standards for future games, but I would love it if they did that. Multiple missions far from each other, where you have to travel on horseback day and night, meeting people and accepting jobs along the way. That's what I would want to see in the next ES game, and hopefully, since Bethesda is really listening to fans, it would actually happen.

Honestly, I don't care where, but I want a big ending. You can have a big ending and still continue play in the open world. You need a legit big ending, and not just a lame speech before half a dozen troops, or it just doesn't feel done. (The Falskaar mod had a better ending IMO, and everyone gathered afterwards for a celebration at the Amber Mead Inn.)

Tulliius or Stormcloak: blah-blah-blah
Me: shut up
T or S: blah-blah-blah
Me: no, really. shut up.
T or S: blah-blah-blah
Me: please. for the love of Cthulhu, SHUT UP!!!!
T or S: blah-blah-blah
Me: [whips out Stalhrim bow and begins shooting]

The dragon thing was the main quest? Could've fooled me, especially since I've never been able to finish the civil war without finishing the dragon thing first. That's a mighty long denouement, kinda makes the main quest anticlimactic.

Honestly the next Elder Scrolls could take place in one location or multiple locations. It may not even be in Tamriel, although the Empire has always been a staple of Elder Scrolls games so my money is on it being somewhere in Tamriel with clear Imperial connections. However, I really wouldn't expect TES 6 anytime soon.

I think that it's been confirmed around Argonia but not for a fact. If TES6 would come out some people say that it would be for Elsweyr but I don't think so. Since Elsweyr is supposed to be barren desert I feel like it would be similar to solstheim so what would be the point in that?? Also all of the TES games have come out at least 5 years apart from eachother and Bethesda said to not expect TES6 any time soon so either it won't come out at all or it will come out in the next 10 years. If it doesn't, then it won't come.

It'll come. I'm actually hoping for Elsweyr. It's not all desert, although there is a lot of that.. But for the variety and culture of the Khajiit t'would be fascinating. :beermug:

I do think exploring Khajiit culture would Be quite cool

Akavir should be an option, that's the only place worth exploring imo. Seriously there's cool races there, and we need to go somewhere new for the next game. Akavir would be perfect

I seem to remember somebody from Bethesda saying that the settings are partially chosen based on which region has the most developed lore that has yet to be directly explored in a previous game (excluding Arena, of course). If that's true, I think Black Marsh, Elsweyr, or the Summerset Isles are likely candidates. They could even do Black Marsh and Elsweyr together, as they are kinda neighbours, besides that pesky chunk of Cyrodiil (but it would hardly be the first map with an irregular shape - and they could approach it like The Witcher 3 did with a sea excursion necessary to move between the two), and all of that historical animosity between the two could open up some interesting plot threads.

Skyrim certainly seemed to be setting us up for the Summerset Isles, though, and the war between the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion remains unresolved as of TESV, so if I had to guess logically, I'd say that'd be the place we venture to in the next game.

As for where I'd personally like the next game to be set... Akavir! Oh my god, Akavir! Please! I used to be in two minds about it, as I think part of the allure of Akavir is that it's so mysterious and alien, and that mystery would be lost if we had a game set there. But sod it, I think Akavir would make for an absolutely incredible, unique addition to the series, and I'd love to see the place in detail! We know so little about it, that the landscape could make Morrowind look positively normal by comparison, and all of those new races and cultures to explore.

I can see Summerset as being the logical next location. Going back and playing Oblivion after Skyrim, it occurred to me how many references there were to Skyrim and the Dragonborn in that game. Now, in Skyrim, aside from the indigenous Nords, the race that seems the most focused on are the Altmer. Like you said virtually setting us up for a trip to Summerset. I can even see the Dragonborn used as a means for an end to the civil war, perhaps via the Season Unending quest.

But I imagine Akavir will be a ways off. :beermug:
