I was thinking about the rightful owners of Skyrim and if I'm completely honest I would say Skyrim belongs to the Forsworn.

They have been in Skyrim as long as I can remember and since the Nords descent from the Island Atmora with their Giant ancestry, I see no direct reasons to agree with Stormcloak politics.

Although I rather not interfere with those bloody Forsworn, I do think they have every right to claim Skyrim as their own and that leaves out any Imperials, Bretons and Elves.

Skyrim was formely habitated by elves, not humans. Atmorans came to skyrim and were accepted by elves. Until genocid occured, atmorans were chased out and then Ysgramor & his folowers came and nearly killed entire elf race. Etc etc. Basicly..... skyrim belongs to snow elves(skyrim is their motherland), since they were first, but got enslaved by dwemer, so that faction is out.
Edit: sorry i rushed, it should go this way: snow elves - dwemer - (high) elves - nords. Altmers came after dissapearence of dwemer. Most probably.

I think it's a really interesting topic and I cannot find enough about it. I did find out that Forsworn were partially Nord and Breton but also cannot live with either of the races.

Ok, Bretons are partially Nords and Elves but I cannot agree about Skyrim being habited by Elves.. I would say Vvardenfell as a more logical place for Elves. Also I'm not a big fan of Elves and/or Orcs, simply because they are not human.

Tamriel was settled by elves the same as man. Skyrim was named Mereth by the early Nords in tribute to the elves who were there.

And now the Nords want to exterminate the Elves. Long live their logic lol

Skyrim belongs to the Falmer.
During the Merethic Era, yes.

I think I have been brainwashed by those racist Stormcloaks...
Try getting sent to Shimmermist at level 7 and tell me that the Falmer don't still own Skyrim! :)
I do think I've been there before but I might go back and take a peek ;) ( with enough weapons and a compatible follower off course lol )

What are your thoughts on Blackreach? I know it's Dwemer constructed via Snow Elf slave labor...

Personally not a huge fan, but it is pretty amazing all the same. I do like that there are all those thralls though. Makes me feel loved. (sorry, Altmer vampire so I love the dark and the thralls).

Haha I get it. First when I entered Blackreach I had to save twice just to be sure but already felt like a special place to explore, also took out the hidden monster if you know wich one I mean.

I don't know if you can see clearly but my profile page was the first photo I took after playing Skyrim for the first time and off course turned into a vampire lol, hence the red eyes but i'm all cured now haha.

What are the perks of being a vampire because it feels rather cold and lonely? I'm also not a werewolve, just a redguard witch.

I love either one. As a werewolf, you're a beast. Fear, massive damage, massive speed and stamina for days. It's fun to throw mammoth and giants around, not to mention falmer and chaurus. The disease immunity is great too.
As a magic user, and one who enjoys necromancy, I enjoy the boosts to magicka, spell power and other magicka perks and the vampire lord, to me is one of the most powerful forms available.
I do have issues with RPing them sometimes, but, as an Altmer, ex Thalmor, ripping through the Embassy as a VL is some of the most fun I've ever had. Combine it with the Ritual Stone on the Aetherium Crown and you're good to go.

And yes, I know of whom you speak in Blackreach. It always just seems so empty to me. I think the loneliness is what gets to me.

That is so true. I appreciate the perks of being a werewolf but it feels not right lol, so I cured myself at least twice after feeling too much of an animal haha. The restlessness also gets to me because I am one of those witches that loves to sleep during the day. The active effects always shows Well Rested, wich perks are better stamina.

I never refer to myself as a witch but rather a necromancer, so when I have the chance I'm completely in my element crafting poisons, enchanting random stuff and use corpses for their hearts, soul or reanimated bodies but I'm not a cannibal.

I'm not a savage, you know lol.

Speaking of interesting places, one of my favourite places must be Valthuum. I just like to roam the dungeon and sit on the main throne, watching my beautiful Njada in her Forsworn armor haha, I'm messed up.

P.s. I have troubles with summoning a daedra but I did it once and was never able to do it again, summoning them with a staff is no problem but with the conjuration it seems to fail...

Mer made up the first recognizable societies in all of Tamriel. Thus the Elves should be credited for rightful ownership.

Actually, I was reading that both Khajiit and Argonians were around long before either man or mer showed up in Tamriel (along with other things), and may be the only "natives" of Tamriel, so weren't they the first "societies" in Tamriel?

The beast races may have been the first societies, but not the first societies to be recognized, I'd say the Aldmer, Alyeids, Dwemer, and Falmer were the first societies to be recognized by other societies inside or outside Tamriel

But, then again, all races are sub-civilized to we Altmer, so, frankly, who really cares.

Couldn't agree more my friend ;)
