Simus is right. Once the thread gets bumped folks will show up. Sorry for going AKF, had some stuff to handle for school. I'll start my RE: post to Sim now.

Natesse smiled serenely as she helped Alice bathe - her candor was quite adorable. She gently brushed Alice's raven hair to the side and ran the warm soap over her slender shoulders and neck.

"Oh my dear...Never let another person's hurtful comments get to you. Especially a woman. They're the most dishonest with their opinions on someone they consider a rival and oh yes, that Nirya is quite intimidated by you. Why else would she feel the need to embarrass you? I'm certain you've done her no great harm, so that simply leaves jealousy. It could be your proficincy with magic, or your looks, or your personality. Trust me love, breasts aren't what counts in this world. Let me be the first to tell you that a sharp wit and a amicable personality will get you a lot further than two milk sacks hanging from your chest."

She paused, debating on whether or not she wanted to be catty...

"Besides, I've seen Nirya in person. Her face is sharper than a nirnroot leaf and her eyes are way too close together. Not only that, her attitude is worse than a troll's and Dreven said he wouldn't let his cock get within 10 feet of her gross cunny. She'd probably got witbane down there...did you know she's given it up to Phinies Ghestor, the conjuration instructor? She needed some fire salts for a potion, and well..."

She smirked. Normally she wasn't given to bad mouthing and gossip, but no one teases her Alice and gets away with it.

"Be sure to remind her of that if she ever gets on her high horse."

The two shared a laugh and continued with the bath. Natesse could tell Alice's mind was elsewhere but she would be sure to bring up that valuable piece of information later. She reached up and gently scrubbed behind Alice's ears, and silently eyed the young woman's beautiful neckline - Natesse had a fondness for such things, odd as it may seem, so she let her gaze slide across Alice's body lines, stopping on her perky bosom. They really *were* nice...small, but perfectly small. Just the right amount for a handful...or mouthful. Shaking her head, Natesse banished though thoughts. It wouldn't do to think such things. Alice was too young, too innocent, and too much like family.

"Hey Tess? I need to talk to you about something. I need some relationship advice."

The words sliced through Natesse's thoughts like a lightning bolt. She actually gave a start... She quickly composed herself and sta up straight, resuming washing Alice's back and waist.

"Of course, sweetheart. What's on your mind?"

(( I apologize if that's somewhat lackluster - I need to get back into the swing of things, haha))

"That's what my dad always says. And Carlotta, my stepmom. In fact, that's really what Mirabelle said as well when I talked to her about this. I guess I had doubts since dad and Carlotta are my parents and Mirabelle's essentially my nan at the College. I mean, she looks after all the students but I'm one of the newest and youngest and I've had time to work out a lot of...issues...with her while I was there so she's had to take special care of me. Her and Tolfdir. I guess you could say they're like my therapists. They are my therapists. And they've helped. I really am in a better place now than I was two years ago."

"I can tell you are sweetheart. It shows just in the way you sit and I am so very happy for you. "Besides, I've seen Nirya in person. Alice couldn't believe what she had just heard but desperately wanted to hear it again. She turned around on her stool and looked up at Natesse in amazement. "...no."

"Oh yes Alice..." Natesse said with a sly smile. Alice couldn't help but release a devilish giggle. "By Talos, no! You've got to be kidding me!"

"I swear it's true." She said.

"Oh gods you're not kidding." Alice said, that grin plastered on her face. "Oh this is too good to be true. Honestly I can't decide if that's juicy or disgusting. That breaks about eleven school rules, at least two of which are never having an opposite-sex couple alone together and College staff never having relationships with students. I could nail her to the wall by her...No. No, that would be far too cruel. I won't expose her like that, no matter how petty she decides to be to me. I won't get down to her level, I'm a better person than that."

"You're absolutely right Alice. You ARE a better person than that and I'm glad you realize that. It sounds like you have plenty of friends at the College who love you, which is not at all surprising."

"I do, and I love it there, I really do. I really think I've found my calling as a mage Tess. I'm a soldier. I've been one for two years and in two armies and I'm proud to serve the Empire and the Legion, especially now that the war's over and that so many of my former Stormcloaks, my brothers and sisters, serve with me, but at heart, I'm a mage."

Natesse got done scrubbing behind Alice's ears, with a little tickling, and then they just sat. Just being with each other. When Natesse asked Alice what was on her mind she motioned to stand up and led Natesse out of the washroom, back into the bedroom. Alice dried off, put her bra and panties back on and changed into the brown t shirt Natesse gave her. It was Dreven's and too big for Alice so it fit more like a dress. The hem went down to her knees and the sleeves to her elbows but it worked for what it needed to do. Alice climbed into Natesse's bed after she pulled the covers back for her and covered herself up up to her waist, sitting with her legs folded and her lower back against the pillows. Natesse got into bed with Alice and sat down next to her, ready to listen to whatever her little angel had to say.

"So, this is gonna be really complicated but I'll start from the beginnig. A few months after dad and I got to Skyrim and joined the Stormcloaks we went to go looking for my little sister Cilla. We never found her after we were all separted in the Jerrall Mountains back in Cyrodiil but we knew she was somewhere in Skyrim. She had to be since my twin brother Titus was in Whiterun and had joined the Companions. We eventually found out that Cilla had been captured by a vampire coven and was being used as...livestock. We found this out from my oldest brother Stephen who had...become one of them. He...he did everything he could to protect Cilla and eventually sacrificed himself to destroy the coven and save her life. She was so weak Tess. Eight years old and just skin and bones. She's recovered wonderfully since and now she's actually quite chubby, but to see her then...dad still has nightmare about it. And Stephen...how he had to bury him..."

She was getting distracted in old memories. She wiped her eyes and redirected her mind to the point of the story.

"But that's not the important part. The important part is that the adventuring group we were with also rescued an imperial soldier along the way. A boy named Arillious, about my age. We were enemies but we fought together to stop a common evil and along the way he and I sort of...fell for each other. We knew it was wrong, that it couldn't last. I was a Stormcloak, fighting for a cause I well and truly believe in and he was a Legionnaire, fighting for what he believe in. We were enemies and we believed in our duty but we felt something for each other. We loved each other. For weeks we were together and on the eve of our final assault on the coven I gave him my maidenhood. I can't put into words how that felt, to be wanted by a boy like that and to know that I was safe but I know you understand. Well, when the battle was won we had to go our separate ways. Continue the war. We didn't see each other again until after the war, after Ulfric's victory and another adventure brought us together. Tess, when dad and I saw him again in Ivarstead I was so happy it was like he was back from the dead. But nothing had changed. We were still enemies. In fact it was worse than that. I was the law now and he was a criminal, an enemy of the state. Dad and I were powerful and popular enough after the war to protect him, try to get him home to Cyrodiil, but another crisis brought us together. I thought that would make things like our first time. All love and passion but things had gotten complicated. Ari was so broken after the fall of Solitude and the death of General Tullius, he just wasn't the same person anymore. He was always passionate and fierce in battle but now he fought with rage. Hatred. It was like he had lost interest in living. I tried to talk to him about it. Dad tried to talk to him, but we just couldn't reach him. He started directing his anger towards me. When we left Ivarstead after stopping a large drauger invasion, we didn't leave on good terms. Then a few months later, when Ulfric started committing atrocities...real atrocities...our rebellion started. And Ari came back. We hugged, I cried, we fought together. It was like old times for a while. By the time we got to Windhelm and Dad had to...take care of Ulfric I thought 'this is it. We've won. We can be together now.' But I was wrong. After Ulfric's death and Elisif's appointment as High Queen and Skyrim rejoined the Empire Ari left. He decided he was done with Skyrim and everyone in it. Including me. We went back to Cyrodiil six months ago and I haven't heard from him since. Now I'm with someone else, a boy named Julius. He was a legionnaire-turned-mercenary during Ulfric's reign, we met on an adventure and we fell for each other. He had Ari's strength and courage but he was so much gentler. Calmer, more thoughtful, more than a little unsure of himself. He was green and it was really cute. I helped him get some confidence and then when I joined the Legion he joined with me. He's really done well for himself and I'm so proud of him. My own war record got me a captain's position and a company to take care of and Jules is one of my officers. I love my guys Tess. They'd do anything for me, and I them. Jules leads them well and I take care of them. All one hundred and two of them. About thirty are women too, and they keep right up with the men. Many are former Stormcloaks who served under me so it's a lot like old times. But that's the problem. It all reminds me of Ari and what we had together. I love Jules, I really do. I'm happy with him, I'm comfortable with him and he's very...satisfying...If you know what I mean. When I'm with him I want for nothing. But I still think of Ari. They're both soldiers that stole my heart on the battlefield and I already lost one of them. What if I lose Jules like I lost Ari? What if, one day, he just decides to walk away? How do I move on from that?"

Natesse listened to Alice's story intently. It made her both happy, and sad for the young woman. Her first experience with love, and it was already a complicated series of events. Love always was.Sighing softly, Natesse put her arm around Alice and pulled her into a warm embrace, gently stroking her hair.

"Oh my sweet... You're very young. I am going to be honest and say that this is not the last time you will experience feelings like this. You will are strong, I know that. You needn't worry about "what-ifs" right now. Love Julius and, as painful as if may be, leave Arillious in the past. If you cannot do that, eventually Julius will sense it, and *that* is what will drive him away; don't be the perpetuator of your own demise. I am not saying to forget Arillious or the good times you shared, but save your love for the one by your side *now*."

Natesse paused, debating on whether or not to tell Alice her own story of conflicting love and heartbreak. It had been years since she spoke of it because it was a thoroughly painful story but she wanted Alice to know that her words were not empty.

"...I was married once, you know. I guess technically I still am, but I have no idea where my husband is, or even if he's still alive... I married young, younger than you are now, to a merchant's son in Leyawin. I had a good life, and my husbnd and his family knew nothing of my past from Bravil. I told them I had come from Daggerfall, that I was the daughter of a sailor and he'd brought me here to seek my fortune. A long story short, me and this merchant's son, Amos, fell in love. In hindsight, it was a rather short wooing period but we both felt we were ready, like most young adults do."

    Natesse chuckled.

"I was fairly impulsive, even then. Anyway, we were wed and lived in bliss for a year. Then we moved to Cheydinhal. Amos' father took ill and moved away from the salty air to heal. In the meantime, Amos took over his wares and the family flourished. I got a job delivering the Black Horse Courier and things seemed to be working out for us. However, Amos somehow got mixed in with...a certain organization. It''s too much of a story to explain how I found out but in the end, we both entered the fold. Amos felt it was "safer" that way. For a while, neither of us actually did any "work". We paid them for protection and in return they kept guards and city officials from looking too deeply into what exactly Amos was selling, which often included illegal items - I am certain his father wouldn't have approved, but again, we were young and reckless. So we were wealthy, and fairly "well-connected". I loved my life and I loved my husband. Things were looking up."

She paused again, not sure if she wanted to continue, though at this point she didn't really have a choice.

"And then...then I met Dreven. The finest assassin the Cheydinhal branch had to offer. He was handsome, witty, and always seemed to show up in unexpected places... including my bedroom, when Amos worked late hours. At first I was disgusted and angry that he would approach me. I rejected him with all my might. Eventually he ceased his advances but...that suddenly made me want him all the more. We would spend time together and just talk. Talk about anything and everything. We never became intimate in those days. It seemed that Dreven had lost interest in me after I almost burned him to death one night."

    She puased, then laughed.

"I guess that's a good a reason as any to stop pursuing someone. Anyway, we were friends. Good friends. However...as time passed and I spent more time in the sanctuary, I started working, and paired up with Dreven a lot. I was the only one he would let come with him. After a fashion...I think I fell in love with him. I was loyal to my husband, but only physically. I lusted after Dreven with all my heart and it hurt. He made me smile, and laugh, and enjoy life. He was a lot more silly than Amos and, well...I liked that. Amos was more mature and set up for success, but Dreven knew how to enjoy life and actually live. I wanted both of them but that's not how marriage works in Cyrodiil. Even still, my feelings were my feelings and they tormented me every day.. I loved two men, and it hurt."

Natesse stopped here, deciding to make her point before she bored Alice to death. There was more to the story, but she didn't want to get long-winded and honestly...her heart ached just thinking about the ending.

"My point, Allie, is that I know what you're feeling. That distress of loving two people at once. Don't make my mistake and run away something good, *especially* if you're already completely happy. Dreven is wonderful and my feelings for him grow stronger every day but...I often wonder if my life would've been different if I'd let my feelings for him go. If it would've been better...safer...less unscrupulous."

Alice listened to Natesse's story as best she could. It was just as complicated, and heartbreaking, as her own and she could definitely relate to the circumstances. But Alice was exhausted, drained and still very sick. Now that she was cleaned, changed into something that let her body breathe and cool enough from that healing potion and in bed being held all she wanted to do was close her eyes and go to sleep. As Natesse talked Alice got herself covered up under the first two blankets and top sheet, leaving the thick comforter off so she wouldn't overheat. She snuggled up next to Natesse and laid her head down on her warm firm stomach, resting the top of her head under Natesse's breasts just enough to push them up a hair. She clung to Natesse like a cuddle blanket, wrapping her arms around her body as if she'd fall out of bed if she let go, yet she didn't squeeze. She simply wrapped. Her eyes started to close but she was able to force them half-open by the time Natesse was finished.

"Thank you for telling me that story. That was very brave of you." She said groggily, barely staying awake. "You loved Amos but he wasn't there to love you back. Dreven was. You just had stronger chemistry and Amos didn't, or couldn't, try and keep you. I don't think what you did was right Tess but I won't judge you for it. You were able to make a choice."

She stopped for a moment and straightened out her left leg to be more comfortable.

"I understand your choice. Jules knows how to laugh and we can talk together. That's something Ari and I always had trouble with. I love both of them, I always will, but my heart says Jules is the right choice to live with. Dad says that's the choice I need to make. The one I WANT to make."

    She was barely awake now.

"Hey Tess? Thanks for talking to me. I...I love you."

Alice drifted off to sleep, too tired to talk anymore but finally at peace with her heart.

    ---Upstairs, Natesse's Private Chambers---

Natesse held Alice close as she suggled up. She was such a sweet girl...Natesse often wondered how such a fragile-looking woman made it halfway across Skyrim alone. She then realized that there was a lot more to Alice than met the eye; she was a strong person in body and spirit. When they'd met in the imperial city she'd been a mess but that adventure really molded her into a different person. A person Natesse was proud of and sometimes even envied, in her innocence. She listened to Alice's mumbled words of consolation and fought back tears. If only she knew the rest of the story. Maybe one day, she would. The point was, though, for Alice to understand what she needed to do for herself and it seemed that point was made. That's what really mattered. Natesse smiled down at her and softly brushed a strand of her face.

"Hey Tess? Thanks for talking to me. I...I love you."

Natesse paused, feeling the tears returned to her eyes. It was strange to hear those words. Strange, but satisfying. They filled Natesse with a warm sensation that she couldn't quite place. It wasn't that she'd never heard them before - she had softer clients who would say them all time. Dreven even said them once in a blue moon when they were alone and only in the blissful aftershock of great sex. That love was different though. Alice's love was...special. It was a familial love that Natesse had never had. He mother never said it while she lived and Natesse's father was unknown. To have someone finally love you in a way that was unshakable, unbreakable, and everlasting was...magical. Natesse squeezed Alice closer.

"I love you back, my Alice."

    ---Downstairs, The Main Hall---

Ardin adopted a woflish grin as soon he felt the soft and lustful touch of the woman before him. Her breasts were pressed tightly against his arms, making him run his own hand up her leg. The thoughts and images of what they would do filled his mind like water in a kilyx. The woman's hand traced along his trousers and stopped at his part when she heard the heavy clink of pouched coins hitting the table.

"Rythe, my good man. Looks like I found something which whets my appetite."

Rythe looked up from the tankards he was wiping out and smiled. So Deneb had sealed the deal after all. He put down his cloth and the cup then made he way over to the wall of keys behind the bar. He plucked off one and approached the pair. As he approahed, Deneb looked up at him, and winked as if to say "Told you I could get him".

"That's wonderful news, Ardin. Deneb is a fine woman. I have your key ready, and if you'll only come with me to deposit your weapons into our secured chest you will be all set to enjoy the rest of your evening."

Rythe smiled and handed the key to Ardin, a little jealous that Deneb would be spending the evening with him. Although, Dreven was here so maybe Rythe's own evening wouldn't be a total bore. Speaking of which, where on Nirn was that dunmer?

"You room will be room seventeen. Third floor, fourth room on the left."

    ---Downstairs, The Kitchen---

Dreven groaned and clutched at Arquen's waist. He'd made her take his place between Sera's legs as he took up a new post behind her. He slowly slipped himself inside her savoring every velvety crease and fold. He was already fairly sensitive from the work Arquen had done on him while he feasted on Sera but it wasn't so much that put him off of burying himself inside her. Her golden skin made quite a contrast to his ash gray - the effect was pleasing. He increased his pace and lost himself in her moans and the motion of Sera's breasts, the inertia of his thrusts displacing them slightly with each stroke. He felt his mouth water as he wished he could clamp his lips around one of those rosy pink buds. Alas, that was a physical impossibility with Arquen beneath him. Her groans got louder and he took a handful of her hair and griped it firmly.

"Mmm, hush, little vixen. You want someone to hear and come crash our party?"

She turned her head slightly and gave a lusty smile.

    "Maybe Rythe will hear..."

Dreven couldn't argue with how arousing that thought was...even still, he wanted to make his point so he tugged a little on her hair and thrust harder, timing his words with his motions.

    "Keep...quiet..."

Arquen groaned but did so noticeably quieter than before. She returned her attentions to Sera, who was trembling slightly. Dreven assumed she'd gotten her "fix" several times in the past few minutes. Dreven was really close himself and it was purely through sheer will he didn't explode inside of the delicious altmer below. He growled through girted teeth.

    "Aahhhrrrr... I'm close..."

I was also thinking of having Maul and Dirge pay the brothel a little visit. Maybe do a little "inspection" to make sure Natesse isn't selling any more honningbrew mead mead?

If not, Alice might be able to work a little of that College magic. She's fair at destruction and alteration, good at restoration and conjuration and a gifted illusionist. Has Natesse attended the College by the way? Would she even be patient enough to tace classes and do homework? And not play "pet the kitty" with J'Zargo?

    Nadir-Natesse

Proprietor of Thy Lady and Lord
((That might work... Idk how well people of Riften would recognize magic at work. Dirge and Maul might sense it, though. They're Imperials, after all... Maven knows that Natesse is a mage, and being Nord, I don't think she'd be okay with any magic done in presence, let alone if Dirge and/or Maul told her it was being cast *on* her... Could make a a good plot point though... Oh, and Natesse has never been to the College; she was taught in the Bravil mages guild and could never afford to go to the College growing up. She learned destruction from a cilent in the Imperial City. he was an instructor at the Arcane University. She probbly wouldn't have the patience for homework but would love to visit the campus... Oh!! Maye make that a closed one-sot RP?! She, Alice, Rythe, and Dreven go on a vacation!!))

((@Wolfbane, you coming in so we can wrap this up? :3))

Slinking in cape of her nightingale armor brushing the floor and finding a table along the wall as to have full view of the main hall. Setting down and pulling down her hood my flowing blonde hair with scattered braids comes over my shoulders as she scanned the room getting a grasp of the events playing out. Putting septims on her table hoping to get some food or drink. But she was in no hurry as of now the nord was enjoying the warmth of the main hall stretching her cold sore muscles.
