P.S. - Were-Croc pics to come, tee-hee! Stares-At-Stares is my champion now. #hircine<3love

Terror swims in the lakes of Skyrim. Death watches from the murky depths. Don't go into the water, or you may never come out again.

Stares-At-Stars 01.jpg

A lonely Argonian river scavenger by the name of Stares-At-Stars happens upon what appears to be a bandit hideout, close to the water's edge. Making a mental note of the location through deep lungfuls of the area's algae-heavy scent, he knows that nightfall won't be long now--and Hircine's predatory gaze will assuredly cast down upon the mountains and lakes of this wretched land like a hot wind. Soon it will be time to hunt. Soon, it will be time to feed...

I've been around as long as it says I have. So, longer than you by about a month--which is plain for all to see. Why would you ask about the writer's guild? I merely deflected your off-topic comment, I'm not totally unfamiliar with the RPGers that once roamed this formerly-thriving forum. At least, I hope it was an off-topic comment and not a diss! As in, "Yeah, nice werecroc. Where's the REAL writing around here?" Neither of your characters (I skimmed your character cards) are Argonian. Can you at least admit that they're awesome?

You heard it here first, folks. Stares-At-Stars is known to bring upon himself the Oakenflesh before embracing the call of Hircine.

You call it mauling and slaughtering innocent people, but others might call it love. I don't know who, but someone out there does. And whoever they are, they like it rough.

I think they're awesome..

Argonians are awesome too, I used to play as an argonian (until I stopped gaming, teehee)

I'd love to get that mod you have that turns you into a massive crocodile werefolf thing.. but I was on console so sad times

Aye, there's an eff-ton of werewolf replacer mods out there these days. Back in the day, there were only about three or so. I had been considering using a weird were-dragon version (I would have been a red dragon-like thing that wore a leather shirt...) The gentleman who made the mod I use has literally OODLES of them. Some are a little outrageous, but then again, one person's downright-ridiculous is another person's holy grail. The wikis have a lot of cool information on which types of lycanthropes appear in which parts of Tamriel, and I have yet to see a werevulture mod...

Y'know what's weird about werecrocing? Ya can't breathe underwater! I suppose it's because werewolves can't breathe underwater...

Also, Solstheim is a harsh spot to get your werecroc on. It's like the Ancient Rhyme of the Hircine-child says, "...no heart to eat / less chance to beat..."

Nice. Unintended lore reinforcement.

Yeah, I don't want to pester the rogue badass who made the werecroc mod with tiny, unimportant things like werecroc lung capacity. It's merely something that I've encountered in my werecrocing.

I'm gonna have to find some old posts on this corpse of a site about maximizing werewolf potential. Aside from mage armor spells, I'll be tapping those alchemy perks. My updated werecroc checklist is going to look something like this:
  • Take off them britches to utilize Mage Armor perk, which demands that no armor be worn for even gnarlier protection. Also don't want to rip my Savior's Hide during the transformation. Always keep an extra pair of pants in your inventory if you're Hircine-touched.
  • Cast an armor spell once naked. This allows for my trademark--a blueish, glowing werecroc. Ladies love a blueish, glowing werecroc. Presumably.
  • Bring on the Histskin if it's available. Once a day, I'm able to have a yellowish, glowing werecroc--complete with yellowish Hist floaties! What are those things?
  • Chug a potion or two, depending on the situation. This is the latest step in the process, since Stares-At-Stars needs to sit down at an alchemy station and hammer out some homebrews. I fancy the idea of having an assortment of werecroc supplements that are useful for different situations.
  • Croc out, destroy stuff, and eat fools' hearts. This is probably the step that Hircine loves the most. It's amusing watching the transformation, since Stares-At-Stars quickly grows a lot of hair while lupine features take over his body--then quite suddenly, a werecroc is placed where the werewolf was. The mod isn't perfect, but I'm happy as a clam in high tide to have it installed.
Alteration and alchemy are Stares-At-Stars main skills now, as the werecrocing has taken center stage in his life. Blades and bows are well and good, but he's fallen behind on his swordplay due to the badass monster that dwells within him.

I hop that mod will be available we the remaster drops

Have you seen any of the other werewolf replacers? There's many--it's strange that my plight went from zero suitable mods to choosing one from a paralyzingly vast assortment. I don't wanna stir up too much Khajiit-talk in this sacred thread, but the werelion option forced me to hesitate.

Check these out: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58488/?

There's even a second werecroc since I last checked. I think the one I use is better, but still--it's nice to have choices. This particular mod-smith has some seriously badass contributions.
