My skyrim game is randomly crashing, and I can't figure out which mod(s) are responsible. I'm including a csv export of my mod list, the "patches" mod is basically a merged file of various compatibility patches. If anyone can help me figure this out, it would be much appreciated.

Also, I have not noticed any specific reasons for the crashes, as I said, they are quite random, happening at random intervals and random locations.

Do you use LOOT? LOOT clears up a lot of problem with CTDs and such.

I'm having the same problem. Except it's always outside in the open world. (the Skyrim cell)

My load order is fine. It might be a memory leak issue. I have no idea. I have 8GB worth of it though, and every time I check it seems to be fine (about halfway full).

I also have LOOT however I have to reorganize my load order because LOOT puts some mods where they are not supposed to be.

I read it's either the HighRes pack or maybe all the graphics mods could be overloading the engine.

If anyone can figure this out for the both of us that'd be great!

Sorry I wasn't much help kitty. I'm over here scratching my head at this too.

Yeah, for me it doesn't matter where I am, whether I'm in the main cell (tamriel) or not. I don't know what's going on. I am going to try removing all my high res texture packs, including the high res dlc and see what that does.

I did remove Familiar Faces because it was glitching and bugging out on me, and crashes have happened a lot less. I've also disable all the autosaves. Which helped a little. However I do still get crashes sometimes.

Though one crash that cannot be fixed is the Rift Tower just north of Shor's Stone. I can't go in it or else I'll crash. Really weird. No idea what's causing it.

Let me know if disabling the High Res Textures pack/dlc does any good. If it does I'll try that next.

Now I'm testing a minimal mod set, but every time I open the letter from Auryen the NPC from the mod Legacy of the Dragonborn, aka Dragonborn Gallery, I crash ~~ I don't really get it, I'm include a complete mod list later. Right now I'm still debating pounding my computer into Oblivion xd

Having removed every single mod that added high resolution textures, I'm still crashing ~~ I'm about at my wits end. I've got no idea what's causing the crash.

Make sure you have these as a base requirement and correct load order:

Dawnguard DLC
Hearthfires DLC
Dragonborn DLC
SKSE V1.7.3 or later
JContainers (for persistence patch only)

SKSE memory patch is also a good idea.

If you DO have those and indeed in the correct order, it may be that you have an incorrect install (reinstall in this case), it may not be compatible with old saves (or current saves. Start a new character if this is the case), or something is indeed wrong with the mod.

Another forumer had a tough time with this mod as well. It's a big mod and gathers things/items from other content in the game. That could be the issue within itself.

I've seen complaints about the mod a few times while watching a youtube showcase. It's a great mod, but it seems... buggy? Unstable? I haven't downloaded it for that reason.

Of course some people have had better luck than others. Just like any other mod. Try out those suggestions if you haven't already. If you indeed have then I'm sorry I'm not much help.

I myself am still having crashes, but they are starting to become a less occasional thing. Which is nice.

Also as a forewarning to anyone reading things thread: DO NOT INSTALL CIVIL WAR OVERHAUL. It ruined my save since it keeps freezing because of how script heavy the battles are (so many things going on at once). Unless of course... you have a $1000 rig.

But the mod is very unstable anyway and will also cause random crashes. I just found this out.

This is nice... trying to find out what works and what doesn't. Hopefully we can find the answer..

Incorrect. My PC is far from high-end, and I don't have any problems with Civil War Overhaul even though I have plenty of other script-heavy mods as well. I just had a character with 30+ hours played, CWO installed, and ZERO random crashes. ApolloDown keeps telling people to stop blaming CWO for their problems, and I agree with him.

As for random crashes, do you have ENBoost or an ENB installed? The former made a huge difference in my game; fewer CTDs and freezes, plus higher FPS. Also that SKSE memory patch mentioned above is essential. It removed the last of my crashes and freezes. They're pretty much "extinct" now.
