Staff of Magnus

Hello all, Un-beknowingly I have sold my Staff of Magnus after I finished the quest and closed the fracture in the college. Now it seems I still need it and i dont know where i sold it. Is there any way to find it or get it back

Do you remember which merchant you sold it to?

If not, you may need to reload a save.

Are you on console, or PC? Because that will determine a lot, both in terms of whether you can fix it, or whether you need to load an earlier save, which you hopefully have.

On console, i think i may just have to go through all my saves and try and track down where i last had it

I take it that you are doing the quest "Aftershock", given to you by Tolfdir. I will save you a load of time by letting you know that, even though the old dude recommends you take the staff, it's not actually needed to close the ruptures. Just defeat the anomalies and the rupture will close when you're done. YW.
