So I was interested in getting GTA and was wondering if it was worth it? Please include if the Online is especially good to get. I know I would be coming in late to the party, but it seems like it is still popular on Twitch so I was debating getting it and living out my Gangster and Gansta fantasies.

Let me know down below any reasoning.

Yes, pls get it Skies

It's like real life.....but virtual

Online is also really good
There are exclusive cars, planes etc.
and firework launchers

They're like two different games. It's a freakin' bargain

I must agree :) GTA 5 was pretty fun (hell I still haven't even finished it - got distracted again hehe) the single player campaign is a blast (I f***ing love Trevor xD) and when you wanna just free roam and do some pl***, ya got mods ((if you get it for PC anyways; not sure if consoles are modding it now days or not)) HOWEVER, you can't take those mods online of course. If you do; you'll most likely get banned.

That aside, the online experience is also pretty nifty, you can form crews and have a blast doing whatevs. You wanna do dailys like an MMO? They're open. You wanna just go around killing people who aren't protected by noPvP settings? You can do that. Wanna perform missions and/or Heists with people for them large $$$ cash money bonuses?((If you do them perfectly that is..... no one dies, do them in order, and some other conditions I no longer remember)) and it's like the $10,000,000 challenge or something. I haven't played the new DLC stuff so I can't give an opinion on that :\

Btw, there's a lot of "exploits" in Online and even SP

I know that way back when, people had "modded bounties" I think they're in the regular lobbies and are basically like regular bounties but ppl modded it to give you insane amounts of money (i.e. I got $500 million once) and it can actually ruin the game for you. Me? Meh, not so much, lol. You can occasionally find these peeps in "modded lobbies" nowadays and basically want irl money and in turn, give you tons of GTA money. Not worth it though because you never know what they'll really do (hack account etc).

In Singleplayer, it's a whole lot different. It's ALL ABOUT STOCKS. When you finish the game, you get tons of money. After that, just check this guide and you can get over 2 billion (max amount of money in GTA 5)

Heh yeah I remember that guide (was following it myself) along the 100% Gold Medal missions guide. That one bank in the desert area (the one you are running in full body armor and miniguns), I still kept losing way too much money. :\

Yes! It is amazing! If you are put off from having played IV, this is much more the spiritual successor to San Andreas. I cant say I how the online play is, personally I don't play online, but I have a bunch of friends that do, and they all love it. The main story might be slightly short, but there's no shortage of other stuff to do. The addition of two other characters you can switch between makes it very hard to actually get bored. If one character just isn't doing it for you, or you get stuck in the middle of nowhere, you can jump to someone else and start playing all over again. I highly recommend it!

This is a pretty relevant question to me. I played a bit of GTA V (like 15% of the story and up to level 20 online) on PS3, and I recently got it for PC. I'm not sure what systems you're packing, OP, but you can pick GTA V on sale for like...$30 or less.

Anyway, I personally think that the story is pretty good. Not as good as, say, Vice City, but pretty good. Online is fun, but it can get very repetitive. I think it's best to play with friends, otherwise I personally get bored really quickly. It also plays a little too much like an MMO for my tastes, so you spend a lot of time grinding. I think it's all just a matter of opinion.

It's an amazing game, not even a little bit disappointing. And I haven't even tried out the online features. I would certainly recommend buying it!

Definitely worth it. even without the online stuff, it is a good buy. better if you can catch it on sale. i have been a fan of the gta series, and even still play 4 on occasion.

Definitely worth it. You'll find yourself playing it for hours without knowing how you've been spending your time. One day, I remember I played it for 7 hours continuously thinking that I actually played only 2 hours. It's really addictive once you start playing it.

Grand Theft Auto V is a great game due mainly to its online platform and technical specifications. The single player story mode is atrocious and very boring, but the multiplayer makes up for any other flaw the game possesses. The game's graphics, gameplay, and open world styled map give the player so much possibilities and tons of hours of fun. I bought it like two months after it was released and I do not regret it because it is such a good game. You should give it a try if you have not yet; it really is one of the most entertaining games ever.
