    Begin Again: A Fallout RP
    Recruiting New Members
You've heard of the Sierra Madre Casino... We all have... The legend... The curses... The story of how a Courier, a Charmer, a Mutant and a Mute bested the Old World buried beneath a blood-red cloud. It was a shining monument, luring treasure hunters to their doom...

The opening was supposed to symbolize a road to a brighter future. Not just for the world, but for all who came to its doors. A chance for anyone to begin again...

Before the old man met his end; before Courier 6 opened the monument to past glory; before the mutant roamed the empty halls of the Villa, there were other collars; other souls. This is a story of before: a story of hope, tenacity, survival... and greed.

    ------------------------------
This is a RP based around the events prior to Dead Money. As it should be obvious, you need to fully understand the lore around the Fallout universe to participate. You do not need to have played Dead Money to participate, and it can even add to the experience if you haven't.

    Rules:
    1) No god level characters. You must be reasonable in your character, and it must adhere to already established lore.
    2) You have 21 points to allocate in your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats. (Characters start at 1,1,1,1,1,1,1)
    3) You have 3 Tag! skills. However, these skills indicate an expertise, not a baseline start, in that skill. If you lack a tag skill, you will be severely hindered in performing an action.
    4) I'm not tagging this as adult, so therefore sexual occurrences are not allowed. Foul language and drugs are allowed, but try to be mature about it.
    5) No controlling other's characters.
    6) Gear is severely limited. After all, you're in the Madre. Anything that can't be justified is off limits. You can't have your Anti-Material Rifle, but I can see justification for a crude machete if you have the skillset to make such.
    7) If I deem you absent long enough, you will suffer a terrible fate at the hands of the locals. Or have your head blown off by your "bowtie".
    8) If you have any concerns, shoot me a PM. I'll answer to the best of my ability.
    9) Obligatory "Have Fun!" Statement.

    Character Card - Dradin
    Color: Green
Elijah's Color : Violet (Or Whatever this is...)
Note: I will be controlling Elijah for all intents and purposes. We will not be getting his POV or experience, but I control the Old Man's dialogue.
    Name: Mark
    Gender: Male
    Race: Half Caucasian, Half Tribal.
    Age: 24
    Build: Muscular
    Height: 6'4".
    Weight: 195 lbs.
Appearance: Tan skin, indicating that Mark has lived outside most of his life. Dark brown hair with streaks of copper from prolonged exposure to the cloud. Rough beard. Green eyes.
Personality: Confident, often to the point of dismissive arrogance. Ambitious, overzealous, solitary and practical.
    Sexuality: Heterosexual
    Occupation: Prospector, Former Caravan Guard.
Time Spent in the Sierra Madre: 3 and 1/2 months

Tag! Skills: Melee Weapons, Survival, Repair.
    S.P.E.C.I.A.L (21 points + 1 in each stat = 28 points)
    Strength - 7
    Perception - 3
    Endurance - 6
    Charisma - 2
    Intelligence - 4
    Agility - 3
    Luck - 3

Gear: (Remember, it must be found in the Villa, or you must have a legitimate justification for having it.) Two knife spears slung across the left shoulder. Five throwing spears are slung across the right shoulder. A crudely made sword from a rusted chunk of metal hangs at Mark's side. His armor consists of a re-purposed set of cheap body armor from a deceased security officer.

    Background:
Born in a small trading settlement in Utah, Mark was raised as a New Canaanite in his childhood. His father and mother ran a small caravan that transported goods from the village to New Canaan itself. The town was prosperous, but not enough to warrant any notice besides an aside remark from caravans. Still, Mark learned the basic skills of life working with the brahmin. His mother, a tribal, often took him into the wilderness for extended periods of time, teaching him to live off the land as her people did. His father was renowned among the town for his handiness, and imparted his wisdom onto his firstborn son.
It was clear from childhood that Mark inherited his strength from the tribal blood he carried. Bigger than all of the children in the village, despite there being but a few, Mark grew to be the de-facto warrior of the outpost.
The idle life of the settlement proved to dull for Mark, and when he was just over 16, he signed up with a caravan to serve as a guard. At that point, the Legion had started to establish itself, and the caravan shipped raw materials and crops to both Flagstaff and Two Sun. Mark learned the basis of melee weaponry from a NCR deserter who now served as the head of the caravan. By the end of his work, eight years after he signed aboard, Mark was one of the most respected caravan guards in central Legion territory.
Mark heard many rumors of riches during his work as a merchant's muscle. The one that intrigued him most was the Legend of the Sierra Madre, an old world jewel shrouded in a mist of copper. Seeking fame, fortune and accomplishment, Mark spent almost two years searching for the casino. Two years of dead ends, false promises and wasted opportunities. Just before his twenty fourth birthday, he found the casino. It would turn out that the hardest part wasn't finding the city of gold. It was letting go...

    Lady Redpool the Unlifer

Pyro, Spirits Connoisseur, and Soulless Anarchist
Color: I'll give you one guess..
    Name: Lauren
    Gender: Female
Race: Unknown(And can't tell, will be explained)
    Age: 29
    Build: Lean Muscle
    Height: 6'3"
    Weight: 170 Lbs
Appearance: Rust-colored skin with patches of charcoal-black from a lifetime of living in The Pitt. A short stubble of gray hair and pale blue eyes.
Personality: Doesn't trust people, and prefers to stay quiet. She almost single mindedly focuses on her current task when she has one. All of this hides a mischevious streak she doesn't often get to express.
    Sexuality: Unexplored
    Occupation: Mechanic, Survivor
Time in the Sierra Madre: 234 slashes in wall(days)

    TAG! Skills: Repair, Explosives, Unarmed
    SPECIAL:
    S-2
    P-6
    E-7
    C-1
    I-6
    A-2
    L-4

Gear: She wears a suit that she found in a long abandoned suitcase. She turned the socks into boxing-style handwraps as she prefers to be barefoot, and the tie into a knotted bandolier. She keeps a few demolition charges in it, having found the code in a storage room. She also has the codes for buffout(she keeps a bottle in her right jacket pocket) and Rad-X(found on some poor bastard's corpse). She usually carries a gas bomb with a pull wire in her left hand.

Background: Born in the Pitt, raised in the Pitt, she thought she'd die in the Pitt. Her intelligence was noted fairly early, as was her quick grasp of mechanics and reparing things. She made up for not being strong enough to use power tools and heavy equipment by using leverage and the right tools for whatever she was doing. She wasn't quick enough to avoid the many dangers of that industrial hell, but she was observant enough to see most of them coming before they happened and as a result, wasn't in harm's way usually. Above all else though, she was tough. Tough enough to brawl with the best despite her lack of physicality, and tough enough to survive long enough to escape. Her mechanical mentor taught her how to make various explosives. How explosions worked, the difference between explosive and incindeary, how to control blast patterns, and many other things soon became second nature to her. So when most were watching a new doomed sucker fight for his freedom, she blew a hole in one of the walls and fled.
She travelled west, using her explosives knowledge and brawling experience to fend off attackers, and trading repairs for food and places to sleep, though she rarely slept long and always said as little as possible. Eventually she stumbled upon a signal on her makeshift radio, a woman's voice, calling her to the Sierra Madre.......
She'd survived so far, she WOULD find that voice, and the angel it belonged to.........

lol is Tribal a race? :p
Not really, but it is its own distinct group separate from Wastelanders in Fallout.

Gear: Thin leather armor, patched up with various hides, rusted metal pipe strapped to his left thigh, and a pair of cracked binoculars hung about his neck.

Background: Born into the wasteland by a chem-addict raider, Gren was tasked with helping his clan from the time he could walk. Over the years, he worked as a messenger, running from camp to camp with threats and peace offerings alike. At the age of fourteen, Gren spotted an incoming raider party, and prevented the demise of his clan. This earned him a spot as lookout, and his trusty binoculars. Within a few years, though, Gren’s mother died and he grew restless, bold. One night, Gren crept into his leader’s room and stole his boss’s favorite pistol. Gren didn’t look back as he ran, and didn’t look around until he found himself wandering aimlessly in the desert. After two weeks of running and wandering, with little food or water, Gren passed out in the sand.

Fairly good Nuro. Possibly change the color, as it is somewhat similar to mine. Also, your gear needs a bit or work, but you don't have to address that immediately.

    Otherwise, you're in.

The Madre takes everything contaminated (so everything) when you enter. Leather armor isn't available to be found. And unfortunately, you can't have your binoculars.

Dammit. I told you I need something to go on! xD Besides, we're going to be waking up naked, right? So, the RP itself will explain, yeah? Or am I getting it wrong right now?
You'll have a worn jumpsuit. So not technically naked. I'll explain everything in the RP.
