It starts tomorrow!!

Is anyone else as thrilled as I? Has anyone else read these books? These, meaning the books by Bernard Cornwell featuring Uhtred Uhtredson a.k.a. Uhtred of Bebbanburg who was born a Saxon and raised a Dane, that tell the story of the founding of England by King Alfred.

I haven't read the books but I have the first episode on my set top box recorder waiting for me to find time to watch it. It looks good however I might wait for a few more episodes to be recorded first as I'm watching Vikings (on Amazon) at the moment. I tend to watch TV series a few episodes at a time.

The first episode was good. Much is left out from the books, especially the sheer brutality of the Danes, but I've only watched the first episode. I don't receive BBC America, so I'll be watching a bit later on. :beermug:
