just My question is I would really like to play Skyrim on P.C then console as I had a previous problem with my hard drive on Skyrim when it first came out crashing every five seconds on console on my xbox 360.

I so have this phobia and worry about games crashing I hate crashing.

crashing just makes me wanna not play a game at all but I need to not think like thaat as there is always a problem solve for crashes specially on P.C.

My main question is does skyrim crash really that much on P.C? if so is there ways you can fix crashing completely on P.C for skyrim.

I like console skyrim if it came out on xbox one or next gen console.

does skyrim on P.C crash less then console ?

Is it easier and better to run on P.C meaning not many crashes then console?

I Like console always But I also love my P.C.

is there things I have to be very careful of when playing skyrim on P.C? to avoid glitches and crashes and etc with the hard drive.

is crashing on skyrim more fixable then skyrim on console?

is console more fixable then P.C? crash wise for skyrim?

Bring me my broadsword, and clear understanding.
If your PC can run it, I would expect you should get hardly any crashing. From the game point of view, it's approaching its 4th birthday so I would think any glitches would have been patched by now.

Sometimes mine will crash if something starts working in the background taking away some processor or memory power. The other thing that caused a few issues for me were mod conflicts, but I've stripped it down to vanilla Skyrim.

I also have it on the PS3 which my daughter plays and the only issue there is deleting some of the online saves every so often. (Yes, it may be that I've been lucky to not have many issues.

As zerodragon said, if the PC can run it, you should have little to none problems. In my exoerience, I have only had problems when mods conflicted between them.
But still, if you happen to be experiencing any issues you could always install the unofficial patch.

Because P.C is a more technical system then a console I should not have as many problems with skyrim on P.C.

I should be alright with the game on P.C :)

Not necessarily. Let's just say, yes, your PC can run Skyrim. As long as you are careful with how many mods you install (If any at all). Play it on Vanilla for a while, just to see if your PC really CAN run Skyrim.
Loading too many graphics mods, for instance, can be too much for your graphics card. You may start seeing purple people, creatures... that's your graphics card saying.. "whoa whoa.... too much info!!!" You may also have conflicting mods that cause CTD (Crash to Desktop) You will most definitely experience this once or twice...it is inevitable.
So really, crashing in Skyrim, as in any massive game as such, is unfortunately something unavoidable, be it on console or PC. What you need to do is find the correct balance on your PC so that it happens less often. Install large mods, in particular graphics mods, one at a time, that way, if a problem occurs then you will be able to correct it more easily, than if you just go berserk and install dozens of mods at once.
And... of course, save, save, save! Nothing worse than loosing hours of Nordic Adventure time because you didn't save. (the f5 button is your FRIEND)

As fun as they are, console commands can also cause problems. Do everything in moderation.

Pretty much what the above people said.

Also:

Same as with the consoles, turn off autosave features. Because your game will lag or even crash. What I would do is just set an alarm every 30 minutes to press f5 (quicksave) or before you enter a major area for a quest or cave or big area, save just before. Especially if you have just finished crafting something or rearranging stuff. I can't tell you how many times I have the autosave feature off (except at 1 hour intervals) and made an awesome piece of armor, rearranged my stuff, and was happy with all that I accomplished and went out dungeon delving and like a dork, forget to save and DIE by an OP Draugr that sniped me in a 1 hit kill.

So.... SAVE.

But turn off the autosave or put it at 1 hour intervals like I do. That also includes turning off auto save on:

fast travel
entering new area
rest

And any others that might be on.

After that my lag went down a lot. What also helps is picking up loose weapons on the ground after a fight. Extra cash anyway when you get into town. And if you're carrying too much, just stuff it back into the bodies. (Well that sounds weird. o_O)

Hope we helped you! Happy gaming on PC! :p

I had previous problems on my console version when skyrim first came out on ps3 and xbox 360 does not always mean P.C may not have the same problems when it can and does.
same as any computer games can crash and need to be patched up.
But some P.C 's crash less or not all then others depends on how old the model of the computer is.

I basically have a fast loading advanced up to date technology windows 7 computer P.C as my dealer and computer technician got this P.C cheaper for me because he is a telemarketer and knows how to get the prices ordered at a certain time to get cheaper deals.

I have had no crashing on this P.C at all on skyrim just some minor glitches with arrows and shooting arrows that's all. Just minor bugs I may get in the game every now and again but it never crashes.

Once a game crashes I don't play it .... I must overcome that phobia and keep playing to see how it goes.

Do you guys really feel like playing a game that crashes every 5 minutes? nope.

My P.C is a windows 7 and I can upgrade to windows 8 anytime.

My P.C holds 780 p resolution.

It's fantastic!! I play other games also other then skyrim and I never get major bugs at all.

I love the P.C it's great.

Also great advice Dabs. I always stuff extra unwanted items into bodies. Because you know that the game will get rid of it soon enough. Items like- keys you no longer need, letters, weapons etc.. try to get rid of them, by yes, stuffing them into said bodies. Heh.

To be honest I don't own the console version of Skyrim but I owned Oblivion on the PS3. I think that crashed once or twice which required the console restarting if I remember correctly.

As for Skyrim on the PC - yeah you get the odd non game breaking glitch which you would get in any version but I have never had the game crash on me altogether except for when I broke it with way too many conflicting mods. If you have the vanilla game with a good ENB and not too many mods you should be fine. Also you will get superior visuals.

I have a 6 year old PC (AMD Phenom 2 X4 3.4Ghz, 8Gb RAM) with a 3 year old Radeon HD7870 and can run it with an ENB + HD texture pack at 1920x1080 with no issues.
