Now more about Prince Noctis' car, the Regalia. One of the main goals of the game creators was to make sure players enjoy driving the car around, because after all, they'll be doing it a lot. There are several points of view available: you can drive the Regalia in third person, with the view coming from the back of the car, or you can cruise around in first-person using the view of anybody currently in the car. If you don't feel like driving at all, you don't have to: you can set the controls to "Auto" and just let it drive itself to a predetermined destination.

The Regalia is customizable, though to what extent Square hasn't revealed. It'll also constantly need repairs and gas, and if you slack off on either, it WILL break down -- and then your team will comically have to get out and push it.

As for new news regarding battle, summons will once again be part of the FF experience, though they'll go by yet another name: "Eidolons." Square unveiled one of the game's Eidolons, Leviathan, and explained they are godlike creatures involved in the creation of the game's world. Guess it's fortunate they'll work for a mortal like you, even if you are a prince. You'll learn the full story of the game's mythology gradually as you play it. One of the goddesses in the game is the one depicted in FFXV's logo -- and she is the most important one.

This being a Final Fantasy game, there have to be Moogles, Chocobos, Tonberries and Cactuars hiding somewhere. This time, however, Square found them difficult to depict within the realistic world they created. You will find examples of each, but they may look somewhat different.

Finally, Square revealed when we'll know the release date for Final Fantasy XV. They plan on announcing the worldwide street date sometime next March. Final Fantasy XV will be the first FF game to receive a simultaneous worldwide release, which Square is still promising within 2016.
