I tell you why these RP's keep dying. A chupacabra with an automatic weapon been sneaking around shooting em all up.

Well, since there may be some people interested looks like, I'll post the proposal tomorrow. I was still iffy on it today. But, I'll give it a go tomorrow. Gonna be a long ass post though.

Instead of reviving old ones, why not start a new one with the people in here?

There is always a reason why old ones died. You're now trying to revive it, with people that weren't there.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel a threshold in joining a revived RP..

The reason this one died was mainly me, in all honesty. I left when I went to uni and didn't come back when I quit uni.

Serious or not, you make a good point. And I do believe we'd get enough supporters. More I think about it, my issue is now would something like this alienate others? That would definitely not be a good thing.

I would feel a bit scared to know I'll be ranked for my writing/rp. I'm a noob on this, and this list keeping would mean if I slip up once, it's noted.. and then I'll keep that negatve point.

Like Epic, the Keepers died because of me. I ran it poorly, I got ahead of myself and I rushed the other members. In the end I upset a few of the other members and it all went downhill from there. However, these are the sorts of mistakes you have to learn from.

As for having a stain on your record so to speak, if the forum join date, member status and number of RPs ran/participated in were kept track of, you can see who the most experienced members are therefore inexperience can be considered right up alongside the good and bad points of your record. No one would exactly be putting an out of 5 star rating on you though. It's more up to individual judgement.

Hmm.. I just have the feeling it'll turn out as a popularity contest..

That's what I'm afraid of. Which is why the keeper must be responsible in fairness. All reviews must be provided with a link to a post for the reason of review. Say I reviewed a RP for being very rude in an OOC.

I'd provide links to pages and posts indicating the event as well as my point of view of what and why it happened.

IF proof or a link is not provided, the review would be discarded. This will NOT be a he said she said thing. Evidence must be provided. This is why the keeper is to be trusted very highly in the community to not muck things up, or change anything to bend in anyone's favor. Which makes no sense really. We aren't in highschool voting for Prom King/Queen, nor are we applying for ACTUAL jobs. This is to help the RP community and make RP's last longer and make it more efficient. At least, that's the goal anyway.

But the opinion and worry is noted.

I will also come up with something like a... program? I guess?.... That will help new RP'ers or inexperienced ones. Perhaps a buddy or mentor system. We did that in my school with certain things. It actually helped a lot.

I should be getting the topic up on the boards at around 5pm my time. Possibly even sooner. Then it will be completely open to opinions and discussion. I just want every RP'er possible that comes through to take part in the opinion. Perhaps they will have an even better idea!

I think you need multiple keepers. One person is always biased towards people. Kinda like a council.

It'd get complicated and confusing perhaps. But maybe it might work.

Alright, where should I put the post and what prefix? Info? Thinking of putting it under RP since Suggestions forums isn't used much anymore.

Definitely under RP, and I think Info seems most appropriate. There's no other prefix that works really :/
