Suppose your dragonborn wore an amulet of mara and asked for your hand in marriage, would you say yes? XD

Nope, because I'm not a lesbian.

Depends on which one :p Mostly no. I mean, having a spouse that fights dragons and vampires and daedra constantly? Yeah, I don't wanna be widow before I reach my middle years, thank ye very much!

Bah, most people didn't live to their middle ages back then, despite the number of old people they placed in the universe.

A lot of people don't use the opposite gender, bro.

You'd be surprised. I use guys for characters more often than females. I can't tell you how many times I've read people using/playing opposite gender for game play across many different forums, game channels, RL friends, etc. Though that's not to say I see plenty of people uncomfortable with playing the opposite gender and only play their own for any type of game. Which is understandable of course.

Just saying that there is plenty of them out there. At least, where I've looked.

As for girls playing only girl characters, and guys only playing guy characters and don't 'go that way', just do a gender bender. ;) Lots of deviantartists do it for their skyrim characters. Or any character from any game actually. Kinda fun.

Actually.. I do :)

My first and most played character is female. I play games to create a story, not to immerse myself into a story. What man doesn't like a badass woman? :D

I'm not sure if I'd marry her, same as @Dabiene Caristiana said. Or I should join the adventures! (as long there aren't going to be giant spiders on my path )

Well, I said "a lot" not "everyone."

I honestly think there are more people that do play the opposite gender.. Wether they tell you or not. I think some people are ashamed for it, for some reason I don't get.

Kinda easy to explain really.

Guys playing as girls would be seen as girly, pervy-ish (especially with... questionable mods...), weird, hell even being called gay for playing as a girl (I've seen it and heard it).

For girls playing as a guy, I know from experience that other girls would look at you weird for playing and I quote, "a being with weird body parts", unquote.. Just the life of a tomboy I guess. Lived with it since birth XD. Girls, like guys, like connecting to their gender. And people that find it weird don't realize the RP aspect of it.

Others however, they do indeed realize the RP aspect of it, but just feel uncomfortable with it due to no connecting well due to gender and experiences that come along with it. Males and females would probably think differently, POV would be different maybe, experience and feel differently RP wise, and so on.

This is what I've read based on girls AND guys stating their frustrations on this issues. There are any more reasons for sticking to one gender obviously, but I'm not gonna list them all :p

Bottom line, just go with what's comfortable. It's a game, and an RPG to boot. Just have fun with your character, male or female. :p

I don't see anything wrong with it, I have 6 characters and 3 of them are male. Play how you want [emoji16]

I know a bunch of manly guys who prefer playing the opppsite sex, one of my guy friends for instance plays a female woodelf with a couple of mods from loverslab, cos he prefers watching a chick's jiggling rear rather than a dude's when fighting dragons

I only have 1 male character that lasted on me, he's a nice guy but i wouldnt want to get involved with a vampire lord, or a guy for that matter. I see him more as a son x) Sonzoned.
