Why not just ask dovahkin to end the Aldmeri Dominion. I mean he runs the dark brotherhood, the thieves guild, the college of winterhold, and the companions. He has numerous followers, several dragons, beasts, and spirits which he can summon to his aid. And pretty much every entity, daedric lord and god owes him for helping them. Not to mention shouts and spells for any occasion and a stockade of armor, weapons, and powerful artifacts.
He could probably walk up to the white-gold tower in the Aldmeri Dominion, walk right in, and kick some thalmor asses.
The Dragonborn will have no role in the upcoming battle with the A.D. Bethesda will make it to where the Dragonborn only fulfilled his destiny. Nothing more.

The LDB is unlikely to have any major role beyond the main quest and Dragonborn DLC which looks like he/she will be ensnared by Mora.

Though I should point out that White-Gold Tower isn't located inside the Aldmeri Dominion, but the heart of the Empire.

Perhaps Lara Croft could take the role of hero and give the AD a decisive blow.
Nah, she would just be scared in a cradle position wondering why she is there. :p

I was speaking logically, not referring to bethesdas "Create an imense godlike hero and never refer to him again." Writing style. The first ES I ever played was oblivion. I was so sad to realize that there were no references to him in ESV. I'm saying it would at least make a badass mod or DLC.

You mean you were speaking theoretically.

There were a few subtle hints to the HoK in Skyrim. Hell, the fact that Sheogorath showed up is enough reference.

You never mentioned anything about a mod or DLC in your previous post.

I apologize for not being clear. I just thought the idea was cool. Realistically Dovahkin could take on any army. Mainly because dovahkin commands an army of his/her own. He/she could probably take the empirial throne by force single handed while strangling the thalmor with his/her other hand.

Nah, Dovahkin can't do a lot of what people make him/her to be. I mean, look at the Justiciars. Just playing on Adept difficulty, four Justiciars are pretty tough on their own.

The Dragonborn is an errand boy/girl, not to mention both the Stormcloaks and Imperial Legion release the Dragonborn from their service at the end of the Civil War questline.

I doubt they would be able to take down an entire army. One stray arrow to the neck and thus ends the shouting career of the Dragongorn.

Obviously the Empire is the more logical choice to ensure the survival of mankind. After all, it is the Thalmor who practically set up the Skyrim Civil War to weaken the Empire for easier domination. While I respect he Stormcloaks, now is not the time for a damned rebellion.

Ehhh, I understand your points but I disagree.

Without the aid of the Dragonborn, the civil war would've likely remained in a stalemate condition for a fair amount of time. Also, the very same person who saved the world from ending from the first born of Akatosh, AKA Alduin, I am sure it would take more than a petty arrow to stop he or she.

Plus in my game, thanks to mods, I by myself successfully captured multiple cities for the faction I was fighting for.

The Empire are devious enough to pose a threat to the Thalmor.
That and the Empire is smart enough to submit to their pathetic little treaty for a period of time, so that they may gather resources and such for the next Great War.

None of this really matters, of course. There is currently no nation in Tamriel (other than perhaps, Akivir) who has the budget for a large scale war to put down the Thalmor.

It will never happen unless the Devs *pencil it in* because the Empire isn't stable, it's treading water and working for every single septim. And for the record, while I have some issues problem with the Empire, yet, as long as it's no threat to Aldmeri affairs I'll tolerate it.. hell the kingdoms of man need it.

Still, Empire is broke, maybe broken. Hammerfell actually earned our respect, so I don't think Thalmor will do anything to them as long as their pirates stay away from our shipping.

Honestly and truthfully if I was an Imperial (I've thought about this) I'd either make my way to Highrock or Morrowind. Probably Highrock, I'll vacation in Morrowind (you know, goto Hell for a little r&r XD ).

There is no reason to throw your life away over Skyrim or Cyrodiil, as they are both rotting and in a few more years both will be underwater in their own way. I suppose Highrock has it's problems with pirates too, however the Bretons way of life is steady even if they squabble amongst themselves on occ. I mean think about it, the Bretons basically told Ulfric 'no' and kept their word to the Empire at the same time without getting drawn into the fire pit, while focusing on their own problems too without killing each other over 'false honor' and manipulation of tradition(s).

Gotta love Highrock. I think if the Empire falls, that's where you'd want to be... their pirate problems in Wayrest are probably over by now anyways. Also, plenty of places to hide in Highrock with warm temperatures most of the year ;) .

Yeah he'll disappear into the thin flffing air and it will be really, really awkward as hell leaving us with all these wild expectations from Skyrim.

Dude, we don't have a White Gold anything left in Summerset. Crystal Tower was raped and sacked, leaving it destroyed and in ruins (when the Empire left us all to die from the Daedra invasion), and Alinor was probably hit just as hard and left devastated I'm shor.

But why send the Dragonborn to cause more problems? The Thalmor are in a way, victims themselves. You take your Dragonborn and goto the White Gold Tower in Cyrodiil and have a discussion with the Elder Council about paying us reparations for all the damage and foul pl*ps your beloved 'Talos' did to the Dominion lands.

The Empire has apologized for Talos and I'm ok with that but I fear there's no compensation possible that could bring back the Crystal Tower. Don't you understand?!???!!???

Or if you *really care*, do the right thing and hand over the White Gold Tower along with the Imperial City and Southern Cyrodiil back to the Dominion and quit frontin. Because all of that belongs to the Dominion, not the Empire. For Skyrim and the rest of Cyrodiil, I can't say. Probably should go to Skyrim.
