My current character is focusing on Alteration and Archery, with a secondary focus on One Handed and Restoration. My plan was to get the Magic Armor perks as late as possible so I could use light armour pieces as long as possible, a survival strategy in lower levels and an easy way of getting level up experience.

This strategy got me to level 48. I had all perks in those four areas it was possible to get at that stage. I was wearing a circlet and robe, was lightly armored with my gauntlets and boots of the Old Gods and had a pair of boots and gloves in my inventory ready for that next level up and first mage armor perk.

And then I found some Dragonscale Gauntlets of Peerless Archery in a boss chest that did 40% extra archery damage. I pretty much decided then and there I wasn't going to get those mage armour perks.

My first Skyrim marriage was a similar experience. I had totally decided I was marrying Revyn Sadri for reasons I forget, then in Riften inn the morning after I got the Amulet of Mara of Maramal my handsome follower of the moment, Vorstag who was chosen because I have a weakness for blondes, blocked the only entrance out of the room with his broad manly shoulders and ruggedly handsome features until I talked to him, with the result I ended up back at the temple to arrange our wedding in the space of two minutes.

Has this sort of thing ever happened to anyone else? Tell me your experiences with something so awesome you changed all your Skyrim plans.

How do you backstab a Dragon?
Current runthrough.

I hadn't really planned on going dual wielding, but, as I was running through Iron Bound, I came upon 2 ebony maces! Sure, I was low on one handed and high and high on two-handed at the time, but who could resist! Now I'm high in both and this is one kick-a** orc!

Now, since I have health at 300 and stamina at 200, I think I'll work on getting my magicka up since I've found 11 different spell tomes just over the weekend (haven't bought a one!), everything from Flame Cloak to Conjure Dremora Lord.

I think someone's suggestion to make this Orc when scary individual is coming true!

On an aside: My poor werewolf has been having trouble recently. Everytime he changes, within about a minute he changes back. It's just depressing. If this keeps up he'll have to go vamp.

That with feeding? I haven't checked to see how long mine can go without feeding... Yesterday I went werewolf and got around 150 hearts (fully leveled the perk tree in one go! Yay!) and ended up being a werewolf for 38 hours in-game.

EDIT: I waited for the last 20 hours, so I was playing for about half an hour as a killing machine.

I change, and almost immediately change back, even if I feed right away. It's weird. Not the first time I've run in to the glitch (hey, with well over 5K playing time over the last years, is it any wonder). It'll clear up, but it's endlessly irritating at this point.

Oh well. Could be worse. I could be a Dunmer or, Gods Forbid, a Breton!

Hey! I'm a Breton

Are you hitting the button twice, Daelon? If I hit it twice, I immediately change back.

I am sorry that you are short, dumpy and unattractive, but, don't worry, I'm sure there is some other short, dumpy and unattractive individual out there that would be willing to settle for your Breton character. All I can say is, thank goodness you've good magic resistance to protect you from all the destruction spells being cast at you to "Kill the Monster", even if their mistaken and that you're good with Conjuration - at least then you won't be lonely since the rest of Nirn would prefer to avoid you company. :)

Like I said, no, it's nothing to do with button pushing, it's just something that happens occasionally to me with werewolves. It'll clear up. It always does. Sometimes it take a 24 hour hold before it does, but it will clear up. In the meantime, while my Urug misses his heart fricasse, he's still got plenty of skulls to crush.

How can an Orc say that a Breton is unattractive?! And I have 5-% magic resistance, cause of the Lord stone :D

Pot calling the kettle black? Be sure to get the Mara and Alteration perks as well to give you the full 85% or those destruction spells are going to do a real number on you.

I'm just kidding though. There's nothing wrong with Bretons that the Face Changer in Riften and major shoe lifts can't solve. Even simpler, how about a bag, say the execution hoods from the DB? Maybe an ebony helmet? Just a thought. :)

It is NOT the pot calling the kettle black. It's like, the porcelain teapot calling the kettle black.

How do you backstab a Dragon?
Ahem... Back on topic.
I totally changed my mind in the first play through. I was on my way up to High Hrothgar when I met the Frost Troll and decided to jump off the mountain instead. Well, decided may not be the right word; I was running as fast as I could and never noticed the cliff edge.
