Reenesh didn't know what to say. It wasn't like his guess was far off, but to avoid offense, he simply didn't say anything about it. If she wanted to confirm or deny his guess, it was her call. He was simply there to help people.

Unexpectedly, his vision turned red, and he got a massive headache. He immediately turned away from them.
"I'll leave you two to talk." he said, heading for his room and shutting the door behind him.

Nirryra felt a slight sense of insecurity as Reenesh left. They might only be just acquaintances but he's the closest thing to security she had- especially since she's left with this Khajiit that knew a bit more then he should. She took a deep breath to calm herself before replying.

"You are not terribly off, I messed with the wrong kind of people and now they want me dead. This isn't the first attack, nor is it the last."

You went silent as you shift uncomfortably, taking a step to the side. Putting a little more distances between you both.

"More will come, and it's a mistake to stay here but what else can I do?"

Even now in the hush tones of drinking and merriment of the people around it still made her feel unsafe. Crowded areas are not often the most safest.

Back in his room, Reenesh took off his boots silently, leaving them under the bed. He then used his Embrace of Shadows power, turning invisible. He opened the door a tiny crack, slipping through easily. With no clanky boots on, he silently crept across the room.

He didn't like doing this, but he hadn't realized he was at level 4 already. So he crept into a room behind Hershan and Nirryra, finding the room inhabited by a female Bosmer, sound asleep.

Reenesh turned visible. He despised magic, so he hated using his invisibility power, but he'd had to. Approaching the Bosmer, he fed. The blood trickled down his throat, feeding his fangs, which then retracted. Looking at his hands, he saw the scales tan a little. Good.

Slowly looking back through the door, he made sure no one saw him. Then, he creeped out, behind the innkeep's counter. Just as the bartender came back, he snuck around to the front side. Looking around, nobody seemed to notice him. Perfect.

But Nirryra was looking toward his room, so he couldn't go back in just yet. Then, she looked at the Khajiit again.

"More will come, and it's a mistake to stay-"
But Reeneah was too busy executing a silent forward roll into his room to hear her finish the sentence. Feeling well fed, he shut the door silently, walked to his bed, and fell on it.

Hershan thought he had heard a noise from the direction where Reenesh had gone, like something rolling. But when he looked, he saw nothing.
-must've been my imagination.-he thought. He turned to face Nyrria:
-I wonder why he left, perhaps some indigestion? Wouldn't surprise me in a place like this.-he said as a somewhat joke, but seeing as she wasn't in the mood for jokes, he quickly put on a more serious fave and kept on talking.- -Okay, introductions are over.-he said- Now let's talk business shall we? Since you clearly could use some help, and I clearly could use some money, how about we make a deal?

He had the same relaxed face as always, but in his mind, a storm of thoughts was taking place.
"She isn't some weakling who'd need a bodyguard, neither is she some brainless nord warrior. It won't be easy to get a unilateral deal, not as easy as I thought at least. Maybe I'll even need to think of another plan to go with the maximum profit... I have to find her weak spot, with that I'm sure to have her dancing in the palm of mind hand. But she doesn't seem to have any particular weak spot... God damnit!"

He continued smiling as he waited for her answer.

When he drew attention to Reenesh it made her question some things. Nirryra then had her growing suspicions of her companion, but she can't deal with that now- she still has this Khajiit. He had a certain aura about him, like this was just a facade. A face he puts on to lure in the weaklings and exploit them, she knew this type well. She remembered back in Morrowind that it was crawling with people like him; it disgusted her. Cyrodiil wasn't any better, different people but nothing changes. She wasn't about to become another victim but she also didn't want to anger him, so she decided to play innocent.

"A deal? what kind of deal?"

She asked softly, relaxing her demeanor as she brought her hands down to her stomach. Figuring she'll weakening her strong stance in exchange for the appeal like she suddenly trusted this man. She had to if he was going to offer her something she wanted.

There it was again. That sharp look in her eyes as though she was the one playing with him. He hated to admit it but she had most likely already guessed his intentions, so it was futile to keep trying to drain profit from her. He'd have time to do that on the march.
-What kind of deal you say? Isn't it obvious?
He left a couple of seconds of silence pass from that sentence, as if expecting an answer, and then, with a mix of tiredness and what seemed ambition in his eyes, he continued:
-Well of course I'm talking about a bodyguard contract. Just a few septims and I'll be keeping your back. Especially if it's about assassins, those I like the most.

Nirryra raised a brow at him, she had never considered such a thing before. People would have slowed her down, made her an easier target or would outright betrayed her and sell her out. She couldn't risk it but- as she thought about it, she wasn't doing too good on her own. Earlier she almost died on the road, if it wasn't for Reenesh who happened to stop by she would have met her maker then. She sighed, she needed time to think this one through.

"I will... consider your offer. I will let you know of my decision in the morning."

She then bid the Khajiit goodnight and retreated to her bedroom. She'll sleep on the offer now, perhaps she'll have an answer for him in the morning.

Dawn light filtered through the tiny window, landing on Reenesh's face. He got up, feeling Rested. But he had a decision to face. A decision of trust. He slowly walked out of his room.

Nirryra got up, feeling well rested. she was surprised nothing happened during the night, perhaps she really threw them for a loop. she sighed, relief was all she felt but now- time to face the music. she had to tell the Khajiit her decision as well as relay it to Reenesh, she doesn't doubt he'll sooner leave then spend his time guarding her. what he chose was his choice. after she gotten herself dressed she left her room and walked towards the counter. he had no desire to eat right now, she had to come clean with her decision now.

Hershan had already eaten by the time he saw Nyrria entering the hall. He got up from his chair and walked towards her.
-Good morning,-he said, once again with his business smile- I hope you have thought about the deal we talked about last night?

Before Nyrria could answer, the Argonian enter the hall, as if he had been waiting for her to do so. When Herahan saw him he quickly turned towards him and and spoke:
-Aaah, you're awake. I hope you're feeling better already?

He smiled, and stood still, as if he was honestly waiting for an answer. He then noticed that Nyrria was far more relaxed than she was yesterday, whatever decision she had made, she had no doubt.

"Somewhat," Reenesh replied in response to the Khajiit. And it was true; he had had a good sleep, but was still somewhat tired. He turned to Nirryra also, waiting, curious for her response to Hershan, and wondering what the offer even was. In her state, the Khajiit likely wanted pay for protection.

Reenesh narrowed his eyes at the Khajiit. If Nirryra had a bit of sense, she wouldn't pay in advance. Of course, if he insisted, she could be refusing help while in need. She was in quite a dilemma, depending on what the Khajiit did.

Realizing she still needed help, Reenesh decided he'd stay with her. It wasn't that he trusted her, it was that he wasn't sure about the Khajiit. It'd be too easy for him to demand payment in advance, get payed, and betray her. He liked this Khajiit, but paranoia seems healthy at the time.

Nirryra stood quiet, she had thought of her answer throughout the night and she had come to her answer; she would accept his offer. There were too many variables to factor in and all pointed her either accepting the offer or rejecting it. Both sides, either Reenesh did decide to stay would eventually lead to her getting ambushed again. Her attackers were coming at her in groups of four to six, too many for her to take at all by herself. Even with help she was doomed to die, her only option was right in front of her but that doesn't mean she shouldn't be cautious when a possible ally presented itself.

She sighed and looked at the Khajiit. "After some consideration over your offer I have decided to accept your offer, but the matter of your pay still concerns me- perhaps you can help with that before we seal the deal?"

She already had the amount she wanted to pay him in her mind but still would like to see what outrageous price this guy wants to squeeze out her before she'll turn it down for her offer.

That was the question he had been waiting for. He had given it quite some thought during the night. If he asked too much, he risked rejection, if he asked too little, he didn't win enough.

-I think I'll settle with 1000 septims, cheap enough isn't it? Ah, but I think I'd like half of it in advance, you know, in case something goes wrong.

You scoff and shake your head. If he thinks he's going to get 500 septims out of you then he is dead wrong. You don't just hire someone without seeing their skills in action first, he's just going to have to wait until then.

"I'm sorry but that's asking a lot, I'm not even sure I can trust you yet. Unless I can see that you are indeed skilled and not going to run off with my money at the first sight of danger, then no, you are not getting half in advanced."

It's true he might run off but then again he might just turn down the offer all together if he doesn't get his half. If this leads to an impasse then their is no way she'll be able to ward off her attackers without extra help.

    -well, that's most certainly fair.
He couldn't avoid a brief smile while he said this, she certainly looked like the kind that's smart but doesn't take risks, the kind that's easier to legally take advantage of.
-Okay, here's my new deal, we go three days without payment, in those three days I'm sure something will happen, and there you'll have the chance to witness my skills. Summarizing it, you pay me in three days.
