I accidentally went into a mine while fighting a dragon with some townsfolk. Upon exiting, I realized there was a glitch and everyone disappeared... Now I'm left to fight this bad baby on my own.

I have the Imperial Bow Of Shocks and about half the dragon's life is gone. My only cover is 2 trees, and my only hope is a steady hand... How many arrows do you think it will take to finish it off?

It depends on whether and how much you've improved your bow at the forge, what your archery skill is, what your difficulty setting is and what kind of dragon it is.

Difficulty: Normal
Level: 13
Bow Of Shocks: 10 DMG/15 SHK+1/2 MGK
Dragon: Frost Dragon (Lvl. 10-30)

Frost Dragon has 1860 health. Unless it's taken a lot of damage you'll need a lot more than 10 arrows (75 at full health).

Dagmar. Welcome back, the bunnies have missed you!

It really all depends on how your bow had been upgraded and how much skill you have in archery. That being said, probably at least 30-35 with the Imperial Bow of Shocks thanks to that extra 15 damage.

Why fight on your own? Raise some dead. Shout unrelenting force. Or even luckier, run to a giant / bear to attract the dragon's rage.

Good Luck!

How do you backstab a Dragon?
One. But it needs to be a BIG arrow and you need to hit the dragon in that spot near it's armpit where it's missing a scale....

Oh! Sorry. Wrong franchise. :)

Depends on the bow, your skill, the arrow type and the dragon's type. We'd need more specifics, but, obviously you're not fighting a very high level dragon if 1/2 it's health is gone with one shot from something as sad as an Imperial Bow of Shock.

You could've stolen a Elvin Bow at lvl 1 from Aela's trophy case in Jorrvaskr (Whiterun), which is a way better bow than the one you're using. As already mentioned by these fine members, it all depends on your skills in archery that determines the damage of the bow. Leave the enchanted stuff alone right now, invest in smithing skills, craft and upgrade your own weaponry or you'll be slinging a lot of arrows.

DON'T EXPECT SPOILER WARNINGS FROM ME
How much arrows it takes? Well put it on Novice, and u wont need much ;)

Among what the people above me have said, I would also really need to know what type of arrows you're using. Assuming they're basic iron arrows and you're on Novice difficulty, I'd guess 15+. And only that many because at a low level (which I'm guessing you are at the moment?) and without Dragonrend, there are bound to be a few misses. Good luck though!
