I'm sure most of us know of Blackreach, as it's the location of an elder scroll, and one of the various places you get sent to for the main storyline.

If you don't know where it is, it's underneath the ruins of Alftand, Mzinchaleft, and Raldbthar.

Anyway, all i'm getting at, is, if you're lower leveled, you'll probably run through to where you need to go for the quest, but, if you're high enough, i definitely suggest exploring the entire dungeon, there's a ton of valuable loot and the gold on your enemies there will stack up nicely.

Before low levels, knowing they're overpowered, go and kill everything thinking they'll get great loot, I feel inclined to let them know that the higher level you are, the better the loot from enemies is. For example, a level 1 killing an enemy might get an iron dagger and 10 gold, whereas a level 81 killing that same monster might get a daedric dagger and 300 gold (just an example).

I don't want low levels killing things there and not getting good loot and come back here to flame you for giving them false information. :)

No need for an apology. I'm just saying, some angry noob will come back here and flame you if it doesn't work for him haha.

I go through it at a low level and manage to get through without having to kill more than one. The next time I go in for the crimson Nimroot, I do it at a high level and wipe anything in my way out.

Nope, for me it's get through blackreach as quickly as possible. If it's not just for the floating jellyfish, there's far too many Falmer and Centurions, whom I hate so very much. I don't care if there's over 9000 gold to be looted, Blackreach gives me the creeps. I don't even get the nirnroot.

Why use steel when you got claws?!?

Hmmm, so you clear Blackreach at a low level so the next time you just have ankle biters to kick out of the way when going for the red Nimroot when you're higher...

I must've been doing it crazy for I was doing both at the same time on a old character before his save got too corrupted. Definitely a strategy to consider!

If you're working on Vamp Lord, Blackreach is the best place. No bounties to come at you, no Dawnguard and you can work your perks up easily in their, especially if Serana is with you. I had to re-trace my step 48 quest after I had done the "Transmundane", not seeing the "egg" in the middle splitting and holding within it the Elder Scroll Dragon. So, I used that time to lvl up my Vamp as well as to gather decent loot.

Is there anything interesting in Blackreach?

Blackreach to me: Once I realize my current quest is taking me through it,....I....Run through it as fast as possible (blackreach is stupid), or change current quest . Only thing worth collecting is the Nimroot.
And... If you mine down there, you are almost guaranteed to mine a diamond/black soul gem/ jewel

A cool thing in Blackreach is the artificial sun in the middle of it. If you FUS-ROH-DAH it, a secret dragon appears. It was a pretty fun kill, I have to say.

Blackreach is honestly the most amazing place in Skyrim. If not just for the amazing size, it also sets the perfect mood. You can see all the dust particles, and they set them up perfect enough that you can see a small distance away. The landscape in general looks perfect. I walked in and I was amazed. I had pretty good loot from everything I killed since I was at around level 45 when I first went through it. I thought the sight and the adventure in there was a better reward than the loot. I went through it for over an hour and still haven't been through the whole thing. I'd recommend going to Blackreach and adventuring through it to any Skyrim player.

To anyone who hasnt seen EpicGamingReview's episode on Blackreach, there is a massive orange glowing...well idk snowglobe? fake sun? anyway you CAN'T miss it. But if you shout all three levels of unrelenting force at it. a special dragon will appear. He's one of those named dragons ( i dont know his name though ) but he's not really special other than the fact that when Alduin "raised him from the dead" he fell through the ground into the casm i guess. anyway kinda cool

I hate dwemer ruins, as well as the cavey bits under them, including alfstand and mzinchleft and them, but for some reason I absolutely love Blackreach. I Don't know why, maybe its the space.

A while ago I took it upon myself and upon Nagisus to clear out Blackreach. I had tons of armour and potions so I almost definitely wouldn't die.

A week later I gave up. I had only cleared out half the buildings and a few giants.
Also, the best thing about Blackreach for Argonians like me is jumping off the waterfalls. That is a fact.

Once a location is cleared in Skyrim, can it be done again later with the chance of getting better loot? Or do you only get one chance?

Nope. For example, if you cleared out a cave and took half the loot, if you came back later there'd be no more enemies and half the loot left. The principle's the same in every dungeon.
