I'm level 50 - With two-handed Warrior build...Now I have Ebony Armor (legendary). with Armor rating of 385. That's ok. But I'm thinking It's a little low for my Level

Wiki says, Daedric Armor is only a little better than Ebony. But Daedric is considered a very heavy Armor.
I dont really want that extra weight.

Then there's Dragonplate, which is supposed to be lighter than both Ebony and Daedric. But then it dosent have much better a rating than the other two.

Question is: What would be the best armor for - Level 50 - 2 handed Warrior. And how high of an Armor rating is possible. Over 430 ?

I've understood that you can hit the armor cap with any armor. Light or heavy.

Personally, I'd go for the Dragonplate one, it's the lightest of the three you mentioned. I like the Daedric more, but you don't like the weight.

From the Wiki: "Physical damage reduction is capped at 80%. This occurs at 542 displayed armor rating when wearing all four pieces of armor and a shield, 567 without a shield".

Based on my research, as well as experience playing the game, Dragonplate and Daedric (fully upgraded) are a wash b/c the difference of armor rating slightly favors Daedric but the Dragonplate is lighter. In my opinion, Daedric is the way to go because it looks better.

Shiney, let's be bad guys.
Honestly as long as your smithing and enchanting is high level it really doesn't matter what armor you use.

That's what I figured.....Then I remembered the perk in Heavy Armor - Conditioning
I have enough skill tree points to get it, on next level.....If I understand the conditioning perk right.
Any heavy armor you have , then weighs nothing at all. Which leaves you alot more room for carrying crap

hello everyone:)

hello Radia<3.....Level 50:eek: ......impressive!

the Dragonbone armor is the strongest only just, o_O

you can get some very heavy ratings on the armor:cool:

TIP when you upgrade your armors at the bench use this combination of Smiting & Enchanting

Smiting perks must be @ 100pts

From Enchanting (gloves, apron, ring & amulet with 25% smiting each) you have 100% if you have special armors from dragonborn this enchanting can be done at 150%
at the same time use a potion of smiting 50%

that's 250% on any armor and weapon you upgrade!

after that go back to the Enchanting table and enchant armor and weapons, you can add another 100% on heavy and Light armor!
if Enchanting is at 100, you can also add secondary enchantments (all your elemental protection ext)

so at the end of the day you can legally upgrade armors and weapons buy 350% (please no armor caps.....there is no such thing!!!!!!!!!!! you can break the rules!!!!!!!!!)

The Lord Stone provides 50 additional points of armor rating and 25% magic resistances.

If you haven't done so already, in addition to the other things mentioned, make sure you're putting perks into the base of the skill tree. You'll get double the armor rating with 5 of 5 perks.
