Now you might think that joining the companions instead of the DB makes you a good guy, and you may also think that helping people makes you a guy, and you may also think that not stealing makes you a good guy, and you may also think that always choosing the "good guy" option makes a good guy. But face the truth, you're a dick, although a charming one at it.
And let me tell you why:
BANDITS :
Now we all know that those damn bandits that attacked just for being there aren't angels, but you just killed them. For the love of god, you killed them!!! What kind of monster are you?? They were bandits, a lvl 1 player can deal with them, was it necessary to kill them? And I bet now you're taking all they're items while laughing at how weak they were, just to throw them anywhere wenhever you're carrying too much. Will you ever use them or even sell them?
You monster.
DUNGEONS:
Now I bet you saw those old dwarven ruins and thought, well, let's adventure inside and see what's in there. I'll tell what's in there. A lot of machines that clearly have a soul, since they work with soul gems, and whose only purpose for living/function is to protect the ruins. They will attack, and you will strike back and completely destroy them. After reading this you may think, of course I destroyed them, they attacked me! And I'll tell you this, of course they attacked you, you were defying they're master's resting place!!
After a few more walking and killing, you will find yourself in front of the infamous Falmer, and think, mara's grace they're the embodiment of evil, and proceed to exterminate them. Now those Falmer didn't kill or commit any kind of crime, since they're the only ones there and as will be able to see, all they do is walk around.
But you don't credit, 'cause you are a MONSTER.
HELPING PEOPLE
Of course, what evil doer helps people? Well, guess what, YOU DO. Helping people almost always implies killing from 1 to 20 people
-Hey I lost my parent's sword, could you get it back for me?
-Sure, don't worry, where'd you say it was?
-A bandit has it
-No prob, I'll just kill him and then slowly loot his corpse.
Okay, I'll give you that one, but let's hear this
-A band of bandits stole my mother's amulet, can you get it?
-No problem I'll bring it to you tomorrow
And what do you? Do you silently sneak past them and steal the amulet, so that no one dies? No!! You appear there with a big ass sword and kill them all, and if you remember to do it, you retrieve the mulet.
Come on man, what is wrong with you??
And kastly, the most despicable and evil thing a skyrim player can do: KILLING FOR A BED
Don't lie, you've done it. Looking for that xp bonus but don't have a home nor money to rent a room? Well, damn, I wonser what I should do... Oh wait, ain't that a bandit camp? Why don't I kill them and sleep in their own beds while their corpses stare at me? (I know, I', obsessed with bandits) Or, if yo're the assasin tyoe, you'll probably go with this: Hey, that guy looks lkke he has a house, why don't I discretly cut his throat, loot his keys and sleep at his home?
Seriously, frankestein's monster would be horrified just by looking at you.
