The Elder Scrolls Online.

Do you think it's going to be a fail? It just looks to much like WoW for me...

I really hope it doesn't ^_^ From this video, the graphics look awesome, they made it look a lot like Skyrim! I'll wait and see - hopefully it'll turn out good, but if not, well, I have Skyrim to play

I think there will be enough people who want to play it at the beginning to make it a 'success,' but if they don't make it what people are expecting then it will undoubtedly fail.

I have no interest in online games what-so-ever. So frankly, I don't care either way.

I don't think it looks anything like Skyrim. The graphics are more of a cartoony, hand-drawn style that you'd see from games like WoW, Skyrim's graphics are a bit more realistic.

Just look at the proportions of this Orc:



The whole environment looks different, from buildings, to forests, to caves. I'm not complaining, it looks great, but it's just not the presentation style of The Elder Scrolls that I'm used to. The Elder Scrolls is more like a FPS set in a fantasy environment (graphics-wise).


And as an aside.... since it bothered me:



Anybody else notice that the G4TV host looks a bit like....



Am I excited for it? A bit. I don't know if I'll play it though, depends on their payment format. Month-to-month subscription or FTP w/Microtransactions or something else.

I'm not even going to try it... What I love about skyrim is how I feel like I can reach out and touch the trees in front of my character. These graphics look like toon-town... That alone would drive me to madness....

You know what really bothered me about this video? Is this:

Are we suppose to put on our 3D glasses to see this or is this a glitch? This is not acceptable.

I don't believe it will fail in terms of a money making cash cow, I'll be honest I'll play it for lore, but nothing more. I won't max out my character or seek some crappy legendary armor from the depths of oblivion. But this time frame the game takes place is very important. If it proves to be canon, then this game takes place directly before the rule of Tiber septum, and after the rule of akaviri potentates and the extinction of the kothringi race as well as the last greatest assassination of the Morag tong, with the emergence of the brotherhood.

Lore is pretty much the only reason I'll be interested in this game. I've never been that much of an online gamer, but if this game is canon then I want to play it just for the story :x
