Don't be discouraged by the people trying to shame you. They have no good reason to do and should keep their harmful thoughts to their selves. (hilarious photo-edit btw :)) This is really cool, did you make it by firing clay? Also, so you have any pictures of the mask on with the hood? (like it's worn in game) Overall really cool and creative!

I think I spent a half hour in the previous thread reading through comments in order to find out how you made the metallic paint work so well with the materials u used. Im planning on making a bronze/gold konahriik for NYC comicon. So anything helps,

I do find it strange that straight men would complain about what you wear. Hmm.

Anyways. For that outfit did u have an inspiration? There's a lack of vibrant colors on the armory of skyrim that was evident in morrowind and oblivion, so I'd like to know.

Also elves have a certain "thing" about birds, I.e. their weapons and armor.

Lol ...some people just like to watch the world burn O_O ....... I actually felt bad the last thread had some really cool people on it :c the clay is Super sculpey .. you can throw it right into your oven .. it just stinks a little and momentarily ... i put this in at 275 degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes ... that fully cured it . and yes i have a hooded photo ... EDIT (2).JPG

there was a video segment of me wearing it and moving in it .. but that video is far too sexy with my unwashed hair and eyeball touching .. hearts might break and eyes might explode if i post it ... there my also be a rift in space and time! :)

Since I can't comment in the other thread, I just want to say that that mask is insanely intricate and a real piece of art.

I WILL SEE YOU AT NYCC! first lay down a base coat of acrylic if you use sculpey otherwise your mask will be a sticky hellish mess once that acrylic is cured you can then paint over it with paints selected from a car model hobby shop that is where they have the best mock metallic paints ... i used an air brush paint and slopped it on in layers with a paint brush .. it was called faspearl, very opaque but once layered over the black it was beautiful and caught light amazingly ... the black gave it a very antiqued filthy look .. i did not layer as much around the eye hallows or in cracks of the mask so the beveling really showed through i plan on making another version of him ..a bit larger so i can make some copies for friends of mine

the inspiration for the armor was a mod i downloaded a while back, for female armor changes... when i first got skyrim ... my very first character was basically me as a nord and i forget what armor it was exactly but i pulled out my sketch pad rotated my character and drew it up for when i made my skyrim armor i just kept picking things here and there that caught my eye but my favorite things were the dragon priest masks .. once on they looked so menacing and grim i just loved them! when i have the resources i would love to make daedric armor perhaps out of leather (once i stopped eating all my daedric hearts like a jerk and made that armor i was stuck on it)

OH also my buddy, is the reason i made a bunch of these elf ears, He was the one i put in the Bosmer stuff, so you can imagine the suit up preparation right before pax east where we were scrambling i was slapping war paint onto myself as you can see in my thumbnail image to the left lol and getting ears on my friend .. helping him get contacts in .. full fx makeup to change up his features since he is very sweet and baby faced looking ... it was hellish!

I need you to make me a suit of scary awesome armor. I want to walk around town wearing it while I wave a sword and frighten people. Of course, I'll have to shout "Where is my SKOOMA?!" in the process.

Awesome. Thanks for the tips. I find myself being a bit artsy, but it's tough to find the proper resources/kiln in the city without some money and a good connection... But hey, maybe some paper mâché is my friend?? Haha. If I see u at nycc, what are u wearing? Aela? Or something original? Still hasn't decided.

^^^^^ wtf it didn't post what I wrote... I said thanks and it'll be hard to get my hands on the equipment and materials but I'll see what I can do, also what are u coming as? Something original or aela? I'd have a nerdgasm if u came as Aela tho.

HAHHA! It depends on how many days i end up going, i am in the process of constructing full witchblade gear ! i wanna go as una the warrior and first wielder of the blade ... so i can look filthy and wear animal bones! lol but also have a super awesome gauntlet ... i also may be too self conscious to go out in public like that ... or hell i may not care because i am meeting up with tons of great friends at the con .... for those of you interested in still seeing my costume building videos my youtube channel is named eatmydeath .... because i am a weirdo.... OH and tip if you are building the konahrik with sculpey use tin foil as an armature inside the tusks ... it keeps them from wilting ..just pack together two equal tusk shapes and jam them right in the clay mask base you already built and blend them with cheap pottery tools or the back of your fingernails (i have clawed nails ...lol they work as tools)
